Artificial flower paintings: beautiful and easy. DIY flower painting: the beauty and tenderness of ribbons for home decoration Artificial paintings

Today, string art has become a fashionable handmade trend - homemade paintings created using a wooden panel, nails and a hammer. We propose to modernize it and add flowers and plants to the craft.

Materials and colors:

You can choose any plants, we have them: ears of corn, bergrass (greenery), blue delphinium, tulips, white astilbe, dark pink astrantia, limonium, waxflower; wooden slats (or a finished frame), rope - you can use twine, test tubes, lace ribbon, wire, spray paint, floral glue, tools - hammer, pruning shears.

So let's get started.

From wooden slats, using corners, we make a frame of the required size. You can make the task easier by taking a pre-purchased blank. We nail small nails around the perimeter.

Frame the nails with twine, note that we hammered them in so that the rope ends up describing a triangular pattern. Then run the twine across the entire area of the frame, thereby creating an area for placing plants.

The finished structure with ropes can be painted over.

Pass pieces of lace ribbon through the frame between the rope.

The next step is one of the most painstaking in the composition. It is necessary to weave greenery through the rope, practically covering the entire area of the frame with it - to do this, simply pass the bergrass randomly between the twine. If you pull the rope itself tight, the greens will fasten on their own.

Also pass the ears through the threads; if necessary, you can secure them with glue.

If you also insert flowers into the panel (we have tulips), you will need to use transparent test tubes with water for this.

Please note that we wrapped the base of the test tube with wire and twisted it, leaving a small “tail” to use to secure the test tube to the string.

If desired, you can use several tubes if the size of the frame allows. It is better to fix them at different levels.

Pour water into the test tubes, trim the stems and insert the flowers.

The finishing touches remain. We secured the branches of blue limonium using the same principle as the ears. The buds of delphinium, waxflower and astrantia can be secured with glue.

That's all, our flower panel is ready. Don't forget to change the water in the test tubes so that the flowers will delight you for a long time.

Instructions

In order to create a decorative wall panel of flowers, you need to decide on the choice of background for your painting. As a background, you can use various fabrics, cardboard, decorative paper or any available materials such as pressed leaves, sisal - natural coconut fiber. A panel with sunflowers is suitable for an ethnic-style kitchen. Any fabric can be used as a base, but burlap is most effective. A little lace, artificial fruit and the job is done.

In this case, a decoupage napkin is used as a background for a wall panel. It is glued onto watercolor paper using an iron and cling film. Choose a napkin with a landscape for the panel. Separate the top layer, place cling film on a sheet of watercolor paper, then a napkin, and a sheet of thin white paper on top. A sheet of copier paper will do. Iron with a hot iron. Trim and coat the top with acrylic varnish. Add artificial flowers to the panel. Insert the panel into the frame and hang it on the wall.

To make a decorative wall panel of flowers, you can use an artistic background. For this you will need watercolors, pastel pencils, gouache or batik paints.
Gouache is diluted with water and applied to paper with a brush or through an impression.
Batik paints are applied to damp fabric with a brush, making harmonious transitions from one color to another.
Watercolor paints are applied to a wet background, barely touching the paper with the brush.
Pastels are used to create a calm tone, using several shades of one or two colors.
An artistic background is very successful if you have little material for a decorative panel.

You can create unusual ones in your own kitchen, if only you have the desire and creative inspiration. Artificial flowers that you choose to put in a frame will not only become a new addition to the interior, but will also add mystery or solemnity to the room. Unlike a bouquet with fresh flowers, paintings made of dried flowers or fabric structures undoubtedly have advantages over nature.

Artificial flower paintings: 3 signs of demand

  1. Durability: they are not always pleasing to the eye for a long period of time, but they do not lose their attractiveness for 2 or 3 years.
  2. Originality: willow branches, feather grass stems and plastic grape branches can peacefully coexist side by side. A decorative style can also be created on plaster by nailing a frame only to the desired location. The futurism of painted spoons instead of petals and fruits is welcome.
  3. Uniqueness: each piece is exclusive and cannot be repeated exactly. You can’t put it on stream, and it’s better to stamp paintings than something created by hand.

Artificial flower paintings

The florist’s mood shows the final result, and no one forbids using the latest methods of creating a “canvas” in the style of three-dimensional abstraction when creating an original design.

Large sizes are the same paintings of artificial flowers, plants and fruits and vegetables. The character of the owners of the house is determined by the picture created, and it does not have to be hung in the kitchen: the hallway is quite suitable for introducing a new guest to what awaits him.

The color scheme of a painting is as important as its components. Not only dried plants are used, but also artificially created forms. For example, from clay, wax or salt dough it is possible to restore what simple peasants or knights of impregnable castles ate in the Middle Ages.

The abundance of paintings and other accessories on the wall should evoke a feeling of spiritual richness, so it is important not to overdo it with other decorative elements in a particular room. You should not focus on the color of the walls or ceiling molding. When a picture on the wall made of artificial flowers is quite decent in size or its frame is so massive that it does not fit into the bounds of decency.

Artificial flower paintings

Every interior should have its own flair, and often the simplest and most elegant option to bring uniqueness to a room is a painting.

But how to find something that will decorate your bedroom, living room or other room? Most likely, you will have to pay a large sum of money for an original work.

But if you don’t expect to spend extra money, but still want to have something original, then it’s quite possible to make an interesting painting with your own hands.

At the same time, it is not at all necessary to be able to draw well. After all, paintings in the usual sense have long replaced three-dimensional images on the walls, abstract ideas embodied in a variety of techniques.

DIY fabric paintings

All high-quality canvases are made on a fabric basis. However, the modern interpretation of such paintings changes our view of art.

Modular fabric paintings have become very popular. But making them yourself is not so difficult. In stores now you can find a lot of fabrics with very beautiful, interesting and bright prints.

If you like one of them, then you can safely buy it and make your own decorative item.

Modular painting

To create a room decoration such as a modular picture made of fabric, you will need a base in addition to the selected material. It could even be a door from an old cabinet or a piece of chipboard that could easily be lying around somewhere in the garage after renovation.

Cut out several pieces from the base to the size of your fabric and cover the tree with it. Make sure that the fabric is well stretched and does not form wrinkles. Your painting is almost ready. All that remains is to attach the hooks with which it will be attached to the wall.

Most often, such paintings consist of three or more modules, which can be either the same size or different. Their shape can also be different.

The most common and easiest to manufacture are square and rectangular elements. But there are round, oval and other forms of modules for paintings. Frames for picture modules are not needed in this case.

Paintings from clothes

Even a T-shirt can decorate your interior. It often happens that stains or holes appear on clothes that you have not worn for very long, and their colors are still bright. You don’t have to throw away a seemingly damaged item, but make an original painting out of it.

Cut out a rectangle with an image from your clothing, glue it onto paper and place it in a frame. The photo shows that such paintings depicting cartoon characters will fit perfectly into the interior of a children's room.

Embroidery

In some ways, embroidery can also be classified as fabric paintings. This method of interior decoration is not new. Our great-grandmothers also had at least one hand-embroidered image in their house.

However, to embroider a picture, you still need some skills and patience. This method is not suitable for everyone, but if you do needlework, then hand-embroidered pictures can say a lot about you as a housewife.

Three-dimensional paintings

Relief images on the wall are also very popular as decorative elements in the interior. Three-dimensional paintings can be made with plaster on the wall even before it is finished.

But such decoration can only take place if there are no plans to stick wallpaper on the wall.

Pay attention!

The method of making such paintings requires training and a considerable amount of time. Therefore, it will not suit everyone.

Paper paintings

There is an easier way to make a three-dimensional image. For this you will need colored paper or cardboard. Cut out several figures of the same or different sizes from it. These could be, for example, butterflies.

Using pins or double-sided tape, attach them to the wall in a chaotic manner or forming some kind of pattern. Your paper painting will look more impressive if you choose a color that contrasts with the tone of the wall itself.

The butterflies themselves can also be of different colors. Such a picture will sparkle with new colors when artificial lighting is turned on, so it will look most advantageous in rooms where the light is turned on most often, for example, in the corridor.

If your house has a staircase to the second floor, then kittens in different poses placed on the wall adjacent to the steps will look original.

Paintings from bushings

Rolls of toilet paper or paper towels will help you create voluminous decor with images of flowers and leaves. It is enough to flatten the cylinder a little and cut it into equal parts approximately 2-3 cm wide.

Pay attention!

To make the flowers brighter and the leaves stand out in color even before work begins, the bushings can be painted in different colors. The individual parts of the sleeve should be placed so that a flower is formed, so it is possible to create entire compositions.

Artificial flower paintings

The easiest to make are paintings made from artificial flowers or other decorative elements. The main thing here is to beautifully glue the finished parts onto the base.

For this technique you will need a frame, a plain material and the image itself. Cover a sheet of paper with fabric, wrapping its edges and gluing it on the back side.

Then, having first removed the glass from the frame, insert the base of your picture into it and glue artificial flowers or other details (shells, dry twigs, etc.) to it. Finally, you can decorate the frame with beads.

If you already have a finished canvas, then there are many master classes on how to decorate a painting that is already boring to you and thereby update the interior.

Pay attention!

A flat image of nature or still life can look completely different if several three-dimensional details are attached to it.

This can be either an image cut out of paper or natural materials in the form of dry leaves or even butterflies.

Photos of paintings with your own hands

Paintings made from artificial flowers can decorate your home or become a pleasant gift. They will find a place in the interior of almost any apartment. The advantages of panels are durability and ease of execution.

Materials

Artificial flowers can be supplemented with shells, decorative and living stones, and branches. Beads, sequins or shiny sprinkles will add completeness to the work. Special paints add sophistication to the decor, for example, if you gild the leaves. Clear varnish adds shine. Flowers can be purchased or homemade. The second option is better, because you yourself completely decide what will be on the panel and give room for imagination. Otherwise, it will take a lot of time to go shopping in search of the necessary materials.

The frame can be ordinary, for photographs, or made from dry branches. If the work is not very voluminous, then it can be hidden behind glass. This way it will last longer, but will lose outwardly. The painting can be done on fabric of different textures, matched to the interior of the room. Or simply attach flowers to a frame. It looks interesting when the role of the background is played by randomly stretched threads.

Artistic background

Pictures made from artificial flowers will turn out more vibrant and interesting if the background is artistic. This is achieved by using batik. What to do:

  1. Stretch the fabric over a stretcher and moisten with a spray bottle.
  2. Take special fabric paints and apply in any order. Don't think about the composition, the paints will create the design themselves when they spread.
  3. Add salt to achieve new patterns.

Another method involves using glass. Apply gouache to it. Moisten a sheet of paper, apply it to the glass and quickly remove it.

You can also get a similar result using: Moisten it and apply in random order. Rotate the sheet so that the paint spreads and mixes to create patterns.

How to make flowers

If you don’t find suitable materials for creating panels in stores, then create them yourself. Artificial flower paintings are made using ribbons, napkins, fabric, yarn, paper or beads. The most realistic and easy to do. You will need ribbons, threads with a needle, glue, a candle and scissors.

Sunflower:

Using this principle, you can create not only a sunflower, but also other flowers.

How to make a picture of artificial flowers with roses:

  1. Cut the tape into 5 x 5 cm squares.
  2. Fold in half to form a triangle, melt the end.
  3. Now align the sides.
  4. Cut off about 1.5 centimeters at the bottom. Submerge.
  5. Make several petals.
  6. Bend one of them in half and glue it together. This will be the core.
  7. Start assembling the bud using glue.
  8. Rose is ready!

Flowers from loops:

  1. From a strip 2 centimeters wide, cut three strips 17 centimeters long.
  2. Create a ring using glue.
  3. Do the same with the remaining strips.
  4. Twist the loop to create a figure eight and secure with glue.
  5. Connect the figure eights in the center, the loops play the role of petals.
  6. Glue a strand of narrow ribbon or a bead to the center.

Assembly work

Once you have decided on the background and materials, you can already have a picture of artificial flowers. The master class will tell you how to combine the parts together. Now you have a frame made with an artistic background or from four dry branches, and flowers. Start creating your panels. Glue the greens and large buds first, then the small ones. Before work, you can draw on paper a plan for the layout of the composition. Before gluing, attach all the materials, change where necessary, take a photo. This way you will know exactly what should be where, and you won’t have to redo anything. After gluing, look at the work, add small details such as beads and sparkles.

Paintings made from artificial flowers are unique. Not a single job can be repeated. Therefore, be sure that you are the only owner of such an exquisite panel.
