childish and not so childish :)

How to celebrate the New Year with fun and enthusiasm?

We are actively preparing for the New Year holidays!

What's a new year without competitions and fun? We offer your choice of a variety of children's competitions, competitions for families and schoolchildren, and we also have competitions for adults. Competitions will delight the whole family on the eve of the holidays.

Happy New Year 2016!

New Year's competition "Mummy"

Four volunteers are called, two teams are made up of them, and more can be called. One of the players in each team is a “mummy”, and the second is a “mumiator”.
Game: the “mummifier” must wrap the “mummy” with “bandages” as quickly as possible. Toilet paper is usually used as bandages. Crowd fun guaranteed! After winding, you can perform the reverse operation by winding the paper back into the roll.

New Year's competition “Hold the snowflake”

What you need: Cotton wool.
Preparation: Lumps resembling a snowflake are made from cotton wool.
Hosted by Santa Claus.
Game: at the leader’s signal, the participants begin to blow from below onto the lump so that it flies like a snowflake. The task is not to let the “snowflake” fall.
The participant who keeps the “snowflake” in the air the longest wins.

Competition "Tomato"

Two people are called. They stand facing each other on opposite sides of the same stool. The presenter places a banknote on a stool and announces that on the count of “one, two, three...” “Whoever puts his hand on the bill first wins (for more excitement, the bill can be given to the winner). Further, the task becomes more complicated: a new bill is placed, the players are blindfolded (blindfolded, they check whether it is in place) and on the count of “one, two, three...” they unanimously clap their hand on ... the tomato, which during the counting the leader put instead of the bill .

Competition "Twins"

people approach each other and hug with one hand (one takes the partner’s waist with his right hand, the other with his left) It turns out that each of them has one free hand. Then they are given a task that they must complete as if it were two hands of one person. For example, cut out a shape. The first participant holds a sheet of paper with his left hand and guides it correctly, and with the second right hand he cuts it with scissors. I like the following version of the task better: lace up the shoe, put it in a box, pour flour from the bag into a jar, close it with a lid, put it back in the box, close the box and tie it with a ribbon. For successful completion of the task, 2 candies are given.

"There are Christmas trees"

We decorated the Christmas tree with different toys, and in the forest there are different kinds of Christmas trees, some wide, some low, some tall, some thin.
The host, Santa Claus, explains the rules:
Now if I say
“high” – raise your hands up
“low” - squat and lower your arms
“wide” – make the circle wider
“thin” - make a circle narrower.
Now let's play! (Santa Claus plays, trying to confuse the children)

"Telegram to Santa Claus"

The guys are asked to name 13 adjectives: “fat”, “red-haired”, “hot”, “hungry”, “lethargic”, “dirty”, etc. When all the adjectives are written down, the presenter takes out the text of the telegram and inserts into it the missing adjectives from the list.
Telegram text:
"… Santa Claus!
All... children are looking forward to your... arrival.
New Year is the most... holiday of the year.
We will sing for you... songs, dance... dances!
Finally... New Year is coming!
How I don’t want to talk about... studying.
We promise that we will only receive... grades.
So, quickly open your... bag and give us... gifts.
With respect to you... boys and... girls!

Christmas decorations

The guys and I will play an interesting game:
I will tell the kids what we decorate the Christmas tree with.
Listen carefully and be sure to answer,
If we tell you correctly, say “Yes” in response.
Well, if suddenly it’s wrong, boldly say “No!”
- Multi-colored firecrackers?
— Blankets and pillows?
— Folding beds and cribs?
— Marmalades, chocolates?
— Glass balls?
— Are the chairs wooden?
- Teddy bears?
- Primers and books?
- Are the beads multi-colored?
— Are the garlands light?
- Snow made from white cotton wool?
- Satchels and briefcases?
- Shoes and boots?
— Cups, forks, spoons?
— Are the candies shiny?
— Are tigers real?
— Are the cones golden?
— Are the stars radiant?

Decorate the Christmas tree

They make several Christmas tree decorations from cotton wool (apples, pears, fish) with wire hooks and a fishing rod with the same hook. You need to use a fishing rod to hang all the toys on the Christmas tree, and then use the same fishing rod to remove them. The winner is the one who manages to do this in a set time, for example in two minutes. A fir branch mounted on a stand can serve as a Christmas tree.

Tangerine football

They play on the table, each “player” is the index and middle finger of one of the children, the ball is a tangerine.

Catch the snowball

The game involves two teams. One child from each team has an empty bag in his hands, which he holds wide open. Each team has several paper snowballs. At the signal, everyone begins to throw snowballs into the bag, and partners also help, trying to catch them. The team with the most snowballs in the bag wins.

Trap

In the game, the leader is chosen - the Snowman or Santa Claus. Having run away from the leader, the children stop and, clapping their hands, say: “One-two-three! One two Three! Well, hurry up and catch us!” When the text ends, everyone runs away. The snowman (Santa Claus) is catching up with the children.

Snowball

Redemption of New Year's prizes from Santa Claus's bag can be arranged as follows.
In a circle, both adults and children pass a specially prepared “snowball” made of cotton wool or white fabric.
“Kom” is passed on and Santa Claus says:
We're all rolling a snowball,
We all count to five -
One two three four five -
Sing a song for you.
Or:
And read poetry for you.
Or:
You should dance a dance.
Or:
Let me tell you a riddle...
The person who redeems the prize leaves the circle, and the game continues.

Newton's law

What you need: 2 bottles, 20 peas (can be pellets).
Hosted by Santa Claus.
Game: Two bottles are placed in front of two players, each is given 10 peas. The task is to, at the leader’s signal, without bending (arms at chest level), drop peas into the bottle from above.
The participant who throws the most peas into the bottle wins.

Mousetrap

The two tallest participants or two adults stand and join hands. They hold their hands up (like a mini round dance) and say:
“We were so tired of the mice, they chewed everything, ate everything. Let’s set up a mousetrap and catch all the mice.”
The remaining participants - mice - run between the hands of the catchers. At the last words, hands give up, the “mousetrap” slams shut, and whoever is caught joins the catchers. The mousetrap gets bigger and the game repeats. The last mouse wins.

We answer in chorus

A game of attentiveness. We answer yes or no. It turns out pretty funny.
Everyone knows Santa Claus, right?
He comes up with exactly that, right?
Santa Claus is a good old man, right?
Wears a hat and galoshes, right?
Santa Claus will come soon, right?
He will bring gifts, right?
The trunk is good for our Christmas tree, right?
It was cut down with a double-barreled shotgun, right?
What grows on the Christmas tree? Bumps, right?
Tomatoes and gingerbread, right?
Well, our Christmas tree is beautiful, right?
There are red needles everywhere, right?
Santa Claus is afraid of the cold, right?
He is friends with the Snow Maiden, right?
Well, the questions have been answered,
You all know about Santa Claus.
And this means the time has come,
Which all the kids are waiting for.
Let's call Santa Claus!

Making an unforgettable holiday for children is not an easy task. But this article will help you with this. In it we have collected interesting New Year competitions for children. All of them are exclusively thematic and will easily fit into any New Year's scenario.

Note also that on New Year's Eve, games for children can be team games, pair games, or intended for the whole team. We have divided the types of these games for your convenience.

Children's New Year competitions for two participants

Competition "New Year's bags"

Two children can take part in each round of this New Year's game. The presenter gives them each a bag decorated in New Year's style and invites them to go to the table on which there are two medium-sized cardboard boxes containing small unbreakable Christmas tree decorations, New Year's figurines and other items.

The presenter blindfolds the children and offers to collect as many New Year's items as possible into a bag, observing one condition: participants can take only one item from the box and put it into the bag at a time.

The competition is held with musical accompaniment. After 30-45 seconds, the music stops, the children are untied and asked to look at the contents of the bags. The winner is the participant who has the most New Year-themed items in the bag.

Competition "Get to the Christmas tree"

There is a prize under the tree. The presenter places two participants at the same distance from him, but from different sides, and invites, on command, to race to the prize on one leg. The fastest one wins and receives a prize.

Competition "Snowflakes"

This competition, like some other New Year's competitions for children presented here, requires preliminary preparation. You need to stretch a thread with New Year's tinsel between the chairs. Paper snowflakes are hung on tinsel. The presenter blindfolds the two participants in the game and gives them small scissors. The players are brought to a stretched string and the command is given to start. The task of each participant is to cut off as many snowflakes as possible within a certain period of time.

It is possible to play without scissors; in this case, the snowflakes should be easily removed from the tinsel.

Competition "Christmas tree with a surprise"

To prepare for this New Year's game, you will need a little more effort and time than in the previous version. You need to make a mock-up of a Christmas tree out of cardboard. Holes are cut in it to imitate Christmas balls. On the reverse side of the layout, a bag is attached under each hole (but you can do without them).

The presenter gives the participants 5 small balls. The player's task is to get them into the cut holes. The one who hits the most times wins. He takes the main prize, which can be hidden for the time being on the branches of the main tree.

Competition "Who's first?"

To play this game for the New Year, prepare two chairs and a couple of sets of winter clothes. A winter jacket with the sleeves turned inside out is hung on each chair. A hat, scarf and gloves are placed on the seat. Two children take part in each round of the game. They take a position not far from the chairs and, at the leader’s command, run towards them. They need to turn back inside and put on a winter jacket, gloves, scarf and hat. The winner is the participant who gets dressed the fastest, sits on a chair and shouts “Happy New Year!”

Competition "New Year's Castle"

The presenter selects several people who want to participate in the competition. They receive a drawing of Santa Claus's New Year's castle, which they have 30 seconds to memorize. After this, the participants are blindfolded and given a set of plastic cups. The players' task is to assemble an exact copy of the castle from the cups. The child who completes the task faster and more accurately wins.

Team games and competitions for the New Year for children

Competition "Where is the Christmas tree?"

The players are divided into two teams. Each chooses its own captain. Then the teams line up in two lines parallel to each other. Team captains receive a set of three flags. Two of the sets feature a forest animal or a character from a fairy tale. And the third one shows a Christmas tree.

At the command of the leader, the team captains begin to pass the flags back down the chain. The Christmas tree flag must be passed last. As soon as the last participant in the chain receives a flag with a painted fir tree, he shouts: “Christmas tree!” and raises his hand up. The team that does it faster than its opponents wins.

Competition "Decorate the Christmas tree"

To play this New Year's game for children, you need two small artificial Christmas trees and a couple of cardboard boxes with unbreakable Christmas tree decorations. Christmas trees are placed at a distance of 2-4 meters from the boxes.

The leader divides the children into two equal teams. Each person approaches their starting line, located at the toy box. At the command of the presenter, the game participants take turns decorating the Christmas tree. Each player can take only one toy at a time. The winner is the team that empties its box of toys and decorates the Christmas tree faster than its opponents.

Competition "Don't miss"

To play you will need two small goals and table tennis balls. The leader divides the children into 2 equal teams. Each player receives one ball. The participants' task is to roll the ball into the goal from a certain distance. Players perform their attempts one by one. The team whose players rolled the most balls wins.

Competition "Magic Scooter"

To play you will need two children's scooters and small artificial Christmas trees. The leader divides the children into two equal teams. Each one is lined up opposite its own row of Christmas trees. At the command of the leader, the first pair of participants on scooters goes around each of the Christmas trees in their row and returns back to pass the baton to the next one. The winner is the team that covers the distance the fastest and knocks down the fewest Christmas trees.

Competition "New Year's Tinsel"

The game requires tinsel and a cheerful melody, for example, “Jingle bells.” The leader divides the children into two equal teams and gives each one a strand of tinsel. The teams line up and, at the leader’s command, the first member in the team must tie tinsel on the neighbor’s hand. He, in turn, ties the next one. The last members of each team run to the first and tie tinsel to them. The winner is the team that raises its hands with tinsel tied to them faster than its competitors.

Remember that you can easily get hurt on some New Year's tinsel, and try to choose the safest option for the product. Carry out only such children's games for the New Year that you are sure are safe.

Competition "Collect snowballs"

3-4 teams can participate in the game at the same time. You should prepare in advance a lot of small white balloons (these will be snowballs) and large garbage bags. You need to make something like bloomers out of the bags, cutting off the two lower corners enough for your legs to fit through the holes.

Before the start of the competition, it is necessary to select one participant from each team; they will need to crawl into the prepared bags, and the rest, at the command of the leader, will have to fill their bag with balls. The team that puts the most snowballs in its bag wins.

Competition "New Year's Bowling"

Decorate skittles or plastic bottles with tinsel - they will act as icicles growing from the ground. The competition can be either team or individual. The task of each player is to knock down as many icicle pins as possible with a snowball from a given distance.

New Year's entertainment for all those present

Competition "What does the Christmas tree like?"

The presenter tells the children that he has been preparing for this holiday for a whole year and learned about everything that the Christmas tree loves. And now he asks the guys to test his knowledge. Children must either confirm (if they agree) his statements by saying “yes”, or deny the leader’s incorrect opinion by saying “no”.

New Year competitions for children in the form of simple questions and answers are received with great interest by children of preschool and primary school age. Use them in between dances or outdoor games, giving children the opportunity to rest a little.

The following interesting competitions for children for the New Year will help you relax and have fun at the same time.

Competition "Choosing a Christmas tree"

All children participate, they stand in a circle and join hands, and Grandfather Frost is with them. He explains and shows the audience what types of Christmas trees there are:

  • tall - everyone in the circle, together with Grandfather, rises on their toes and stretches their arms up;
  • low - everyone squats and lowers their hands down;
  • wide - everyone tries to expand the circle as much as possible;
  • narrow – the circle should be narrowed as much as possible.

Then Grandfather begins to walk in a circle and “choose” the Christmas tree. “Oh, so tall!”, “And this one is a bit narrow!” According to the parameters voiced by Grandfather, the children depict the tree that he saw. Frost himself tries to knock them down, demonstrating incorrect movements.

Competition "New Year's Cap"

The players form a circle. Cheerful New Year's music is turned on, and the children begin to pass the New Year's cap around. Periodically the music stops. The participant who happens to have the cap in his hands when the music stops puts it on his head and fulfills the wish of Santa Claus. Grandfather Frost may wish to be sung a song, told a poem, asked a riddle, or danced. Everyone who fulfills his wish receives a sweet prize.

Competition for the best New Year's costume

Young children love to dress up in carnival costumes and portray a variety of characters. Children should be notified in advance about the competition for the best New Year's costume. There may be several nominations, but first everyone will have to “defend” their costume. This will make it possible to evaluate not only the originality of the outfit, but also the artistic abilities of the child, who, having entered the role, can depict the habits, sing a song or read a monologue of his hero.

New Year's entertainment "Lucky number"

Everyone loves pleasant surprises, and children especially. Prepare small gifts in advance (there should be as many as there will be children at the party) and wrap them in multi-colored paper, then number them. Place them in Santa's bag or place them under the Christmas tree.

Cut out small tokens from cardboard according to the number of gifts in the form of New Year's balls or Christmas trees and also number them on the reverse side. Hang tokens in visible places indoors.

When it's time for gifts, invite each child to find one token for themselves. Now Santa Claus knows exactly who to give what gift.

Human memory is designed in such a way that for the rest of our lives we remember only the most vivid and exciting events of our lives. And most of these events for each of us come from childhood. We hope that the children's competitions for the New Year that we have prepared will help you create an original entertainment program that will become another bright and unforgettable event for children's memories.

Competitions for the New Year. Children's holiday.

Team competitions and New Year's competitions at a high school matinee will delight children wildly. Thematic games and quizzes will support the magical mood of students and unite the children's team. Competitive tasks from Santa Claus will take schoolchildren into a fairy tale that they will never forget.

    Game "New Year's Cap"

The players are divided equally into 2 teams. Each group lines up behind each other at a distance of 1 meter. The first representative of each team receives a decorated New Year's cap and puts it on his head. The second participants are given a long stick. With this stick they must remove the cap from the first player and put it on themselves. After the second participants put on the New Year's cap, they pass the stick to the next competitor and so on until the end. The last player in each group must pass the cap and stick to the first. The team that completes the task faster wins.

2 people participate in the competition. To carry it out you will need 2 assistants, preferably tall boys. They hold a rope stretched on both sides, onto which fruits are attached using threads: apples, tangerines, oranges.

Participants are blindfolded and given a basket and scissors. The players' task is to collect as many fruits as possible. Before the collection begins, the contestants are promoted. After this, the assistants lower the rope to knee level, then they can lift it back up. From time to time they change the position of the rope. Having found a fruit, the player must cut it with scissors. The participant who collects the most fruits in the allotted time wins.

    Game "Snowman"

The game involves 2 teams of 2 people. Participants are given 2 rolls of toilet paper, a small bucket, a carrot, a scarf and a marker. The players’ task is to make a snowman using the following materials: wrap a partner in toilet paper, draw his mouth and eyes, put a bucket on his head, tie a scarf around his neck and put carrots in his mouth. The team that completes the task faster wins.

Up to 5 people participate in the competition. A large plate is placed on the table in front of each participant on which fruits are mixed: kiwi, tangerines, oranges, apples (the same amount). All fruits must be peeled and cut or divided into slices. There are empty plates next to the dish. Each participant is given Chinese chopsticks.

The players' task is to sort all the fruits into plates using chopsticks. To complicate the competition, participants are turned with their backs to the table. In this position, moving their arms back, the players must complete the task. The participant who completes the task faster wins.

The competition involves 3 teams of 5 people. Children line up in 3 columns. The last player of each team is shown a picture or told in his ear the object that needs to be drawn: a Christmas tree, a gift, a snowman, etc. He begins to draw a hidden picture on the back of the player in front with his fingers. The child whose back was drawn must understand and draw the same drawing on the back of the participant standing in front of him, and so on until the first competitor. The first players must guess and name the hidden object. The winner is the team whose first member correctly guesses the word or names the one closest in meaning to it.

Fun and competitions for the New Year will turn a costume party at school into a fun and lively holiday. Outdoor games and competitions, led by Father Frost and the Snow Maiden, will delight students and give them a fairy-tale mood. Fun competitions with prizes, quizzes and sweepstakes will make the holiday interesting and memorable.

The game involves 10 people. For the competition you will need 9 chairs. All chairs should be placed in a large circle. It is better if they stand at a certain distance from each other. Participants, having heard the music, begin to walk in a circle. You cannot hold on to the back of a chair. At the end of the musical accompaniment, the children quickly sit on chairs. The participant who does not have enough chair is eliminated. After 1 player is eliminated, 1 chair is also taken. At the end of the competition, 2 participants and 1 chair remain. The one who sits on the last chair wins.

    Game "New Year's bowling"

The game involves 2 teams of 6 people. To play, you will need 2 regular balls, which will act as a snow globe, and 20 pins (10 for each team), which will be considered icicles. Icicle pins are placed in a chaotic order every meter (starting from 1 meter) - the same for each team. Each team player takes turns walking up to the starting line and aiming the ball at the pins. The team that knocks down the most pins in 6 ball throws becomes the winner.

    Game "New Year's Castle"

The game involves 3-5 people. Each of them is given 2 minutes to carefully study the castle drawn by the teacher. After the time is up, they are given colored pencils and blindfolded with a bandage or scarf. Each player must draw a similar castle from memory. The game is for both time and quality. It is necessary to reproduce the initial version of the New Year's castle as accurately as possible.

The player who completes the task best is declared the winner.

Before the competition starts, you need to inflate as many white balloons as possible. They will play the role of snowballs. Participants are divided into 2 teams. Each chooses a captain. They are given a large garbage bag with pre-made holes for their feet. They climb into this bag and keep the top edge open.

Cheerful music is turned on. At the leader’s whistle, team members begin to collect snowballs scattered on the floor and throw them into their captain’s bag. At the stop signal and the end of the music, the competition ends. The counting of collected snowballs begins. The team that collects the most balls wins.

    Game "New Year's cap"

It is worth preparing children for this game in advance. It is necessary to give them the task of learning New Year's poems or songs. The competition begins with children lining up in one line or semicircle. Then dynamic music starts. Children begin to move to the music, passing the cap to each other in turn. Suddenly the music turns off, and the cap remains in the hands of one child. The schoolchild who remains with the cap comes forward from the semicircle and fulfills the wish of Grandfather Frost - he tells him a poem or sings a short song.

Before the competition begins, you need to arrange the chairs in a semicircle, then seat the children. The host of the New Year's party calls each student in turn one part of the name of a fairy-tale hero. For example: Gray..., Frog..., Scarlet.... The schoolchildren's task is to quickly continue the second part of the name of the hero from the fairy tale. If the child does not have time to answer within 10 seconds, then the right to answer is transferred to the participant sitting next to him. The student who fails to complete the task is eliminated from the game. At the end of the competition, the winner receives a sweet prize.

Soon my child, a third grade student, will have a New Year's party and the parents were given the task of finding and holding fun competitions. After scouring the Internet, I chose several, in my opinion, fun and interesting competitions for primary school students. I decided to post these competitions on my page, maybe someone will need it and it will be interesting.

Harvesting

The task of the players of each team is to move the oranges to a certain place as quickly as possible without using their hands. Santa Claus is the presenter. He gives the start and announces the winner.

Collective creativity

Break into two teams. The players sitting on the edge draw a squiggle on the sheet and pass it on. The next player makes an addition with his own squiggle. The result should be a drawing. Whose “masterpiece” will the presenter prefer?

New Year's puzzle

Let's take thick paper, cut rectangles and write on each of them a fairy-tale character, rearranging the letters: Minalva, Remudra, Ushkolaz, Chmokaivdu, Burchekashka, Ovodnyay, Konbugor, Ushivanka, Saloruchka, Yurkhash. By rearranging the letters in their minds, children must guess who is encrypted here. Whoever guesses the most words wins a prize for the competition.

New Year's photo tests

For any holiday, you need to take more photos so that you have something to remember. Why not turn it into a competition?
From the inventory we will need various kinds of New Year's decorations and accessories, and of course a camera.

All participants take turns portraying some kind of New Year’s fairy-tale character:
The most glamorous Christmas tree
The saddest reindeer
The happiest Santa Claus
The most absent-minded Snow Maiden
The kindest Baba Yaga
And so on…

Naturally, everything is done using pre-prepared props. The final version is the image captured in the photo.

Catch a snowflake

Hold a piece of cotton wool (snowflake) in the air (blow on it from below) for as long as possible - 4-6 people.

Christmas tree toy

In front of the two players, the presenter places a prize on a chair, wrapped in bright wrapping paper, and says the following text:
At the New Year's hour, friends, you can't go without attention! Don’t miss the number “three”, - Take the prize, don’t yawn!
“The Christmas tree greeted guests. Five children came first, So as not to get bored on the holiday, They began to count everything on it: Two snowflakes, six firecrackers, Eight gnomes and parsleys, Seven gilded nuts Among the twisted tinsel; We counted ten cones, and then we got tired of counting. Three little girls came running..."
If the players missed the prize, the presenter takes it and says: “Where were your ears?”; if one of the players turns out to be more attentive, then the presenter concludes: “Those are attentive ears!”

Telegram to Santa Claus

The guys are asked to name 13 adjectives: “fat”, “red-haired”, “hot”, “hungry”, “sluggish”, “dirty”... When all the adjectives are written down, the presenter takes out the text of the telegram and inserts into it the missing adjectives from the list .

Telegram text:

"... Grandfather Frost! All... the children are looking forward to your... arrival. New Year is the most... holiday of the year. We will sing for you... songs, dance... dances! Finally- then... New Year will come! I don’t want to talk about... studying. We promise that we will only receive... grades. So, quickly open your... bag and give us... gifts. you... boys and... girls!"

Mask, I know you

The presenter puts the mask on the player. The player asks different questions to which he receives answers - hints:

(- Is this an animal? - No. - Human? - No. - Bird? - Yes! - Domestic? - Yes/no. - Does she cackle? - No. - Quacks?
- Yes! - It's a duck!)

Mysterious chest

Each of the two players has their own chest or suitcase, in which various items of clothing are folded. The players are blindfolded, and at the command of the leader they begin to put on things from the chest. The players' task is to dress up as quickly as possible.

Pull the string

Two guys sit on chairs with their backs to each other. There is a rope or cord under the chairs. At a signal from Santa Claus, each player runs around the other's chair, sits on his own chair and tries to quickly grab the end of the rope and pull it out.
