Ivanchikova Ekaterina Leonidovna

Pop Singer

Vocalist of the group IOWA

Ekaterina Ivanchikova was born on August 18, 1987 in the city of Chausy, Republic of Belarus. The girl grew up in a simple working-class family: her father worked as a machine operator, her mother raised children in kindergarten. Katya's talent for music was discovered early. Therefore, the girl was taken to a music school at the local House of Culture. Here she not only learned to play the piano, but also began to sing.

In high school, Ivanchikova became interested in hard rock. She herself began to sing in the manner of hard rockers and growlers. Catherine dreamed of the stage. She dreamed of crowded halls and stadiums, spotlights and applause. But it was not possible to receive a special education: the conservatory and the Mogilev School of Culture accepted applicants with academic vocals. Therefore, Ekaterina Ivanchikova went to Minsk and entered the Pedagogical University. After 4 years, she had a higher education and two professions at once: philology and journalism. True, none of them were ever useful.

The creative biography of Ekaterina Ivanchikova began in her student years. The girl got to the casting of the TV show “Star Stagecoach”. This is an analogue of the Russian “Star Factory”. At first, Ivanchikova was not accepted into the final stage, but when one of the past participants fell ill, Ekaterina was invited to take her place.

In 2009, Ekaterina remembered her youthful dream of forming her own musical group. Together with guitarist Leonid Tereshchenko and drummer Vasily Bulanov, she founded the rock band IOWA. Katya’s nickname, Iowa, was chosen as the name; this is what the girl was called in the rock community in honor of her favorite album by the metal band “Slipknot”.

Initially, Ivanchikova not only sang in the group, but also played bass guitar. Later she decided to focus on vocals. The lyrics for all the group's songs are created by Ekaterina. She began writing poetry while still in school. Her talent was discovered when the girl first fell in love. All of Katya’s poems are sensual, “passed through” herself, always based on personal experiences. Fans call IOWA's songs and performance style expressive, energetic and energizing.

Throughout the year, the young rock band toured major cities of Belarus. The work of “IOWA”, as well as the lead singer of the group herself, was liked by the youth audience. Crowds gathered at the concerts to listen to the expressive singing of Ekaterina Ivanchikova. And then the guys realized that they needed to move forward and grow. To do this, we moved to St. Petersburg, where everything “breathed” creativity and where rock musicians of the direction chosen by “IOWA” were concentrated. The few concerts that the Belarusian group gave in the city on the Neva were received very warmly by St. Petersburg residents.

Soon, many residents of vast Russia learned about the existence of Ekaterina Ivanchikova and her team. The musicians now have a huge Russian fan group. “IOWA” developed and regularly delighted fans with new songs.

Some hits ended up on television and bright videos were shot on them. One of the group’s first hits was the song “Mama,” which was included in the top twenty compositions at the end of 2012. In the spring of the same year, the video for the favorite song collected a million views on the Internet.

The hit song performed by Ekaterina Ivanchikova “Looking for a Husband” was first heard in Larisa Guzeeva’s program “Let’s Get Married,” “A Simple Song” was performed in the TV series “Fizruk,” and “The Same Thing” and “Smile” turned into hits after they became soundtracks of the sitcom “Kitchen”.

In 2014, Katya Ivanchikova and the IOWA group released their second studio album, Export. It had considerable success with the public and music critics.

In January 2015, fans of the group saw a video for the hit “The Same Thing.” Its director was Vladimir Besedin. In the same year, IOWA received the prestigious prize “For the popularization of Belarusian music abroad.” It was presented to the children at the national music award “Lira” in Minsk.

In general, 2015 turned out to be a very generous and eventful year for Ekaterina Ivanchikova and her team. In March, they were nominated for “Best Group” at the RU.TV Awards. In the same month, they were nominated for the Muz-TV Award in two categories at once: “Breakthrough of the Year” and “Best Song”. The last nomination is for the song “Marshrutka”.

In April, the group gave a big solo concert at Moscow's Crocus City Hall. And at the very beginning of summer, fans of the band saw the solo program “IOWA” in Minsk.

In September 2015, Ekaterina Ivanchikova’s team was nominated for the MTV EMA award. "IOWA" was included in the "Best Russian Artist" category.

And in October, the New Wave competition opened with the hit “Minibus”. There, the guys presented a new composition, “Beats the Beat,” which instantly turned into a hit.

The year ended wonderfully. In November, the group “IOWA” performed the song “Smile” at the 20th Golden Gramophone 2015 music awards ceremony. Here the guys received their first award.

2016 also brought Ekaterina Ivanchikova and her colleagues many pleasant gifts. They performed the song “Marshrutka” on January 1 on New Year’s Eve on Channel One. And in February, the premiere of the video clip for the song “Three Days of Cold” took place.

In April, “IOWA” was presented in the “Best Pop Group” category at the Muz-TV Awards.

IOWA is a group originally from Belarus. She became popular thanks to a new and unique style, a quirky mixture of jazz, pop and R&B, which was soon nicknamed indie pop. At the very beginning of her career, the band's vocalist Ekaterina Ivanchikova, choosing her own style, experimented with heavy music, during which she received the nickname Iowa.

The singer's devoted and attentive fans have put forward their own version of the origin of the group's name, saying that it comes from the American idiom IOWA (to wander around idle). Also the name has a lot to do with the North American state of Iowa, where most people are farmers, all the shops close early, so people living there have no choice but to hang around and look for entertainment elsewhere.

The group has a simple composition - guitarist, lead singer, drummer.

Guitarist Leonid Tereshchenko studied at the Moscow State Music College named after Rimsky-Korsakov. I would be very happy to play a duet with the outstanding guitarist Al Di Meola. He is also proud that his dreams come true every day: “As they say, if you don’t want to work your whole life, do what you love!”

Leonid organized his first “solo” concerts as a child. “When I was sitting on the floor, holding brooms and loudly singing the hit “Apples of Stallions,” my mother immediately realized that she had to do something about it,” Tereshchenko laughs. He received the nickname The White as a child, but he still doesn't know why.

One of Leonid's family traditions is to drink tea from very large mugs. He listens to and loves completely different music: “The main thing is professional performance, personal contact with the stage image, voice and sincerity.” Leonid believes that simplicity is the mother of health, so he tries to live every day “like his last,” because the main thing is to remain yourself.

He would be delighted to attend a concert of 17th-century music and listen to the works of Bach performed by the author. “Competitions have always meant great experience! I'm looking forward to unique emotions, meetings and atmosphere! This is the step I want to take! New experience and development. I wish all finalists to remain themselves! »

Vasily Bulatov- drummer of the band. He took part in competitions where the first prizes were performances alongside famous artists. Vasily devotes all his free time to studying the basics of sound engineering. Enjoys swimming. He admits that he would gladly sing a duet with A. Levin (lead singer of the group “Maroon 5”) or accompany him as a drummer instead of M. Flint.

Bulanov wants to visit the place where Michael Jackson is buried, ride on a really big yacht and go scuba diving. He is proud that his mother is happy with him. At the age of 15, Vasily asked his mother to buy him a guitar, this was the first step into the world of music.

“After a while I changed my guitar and sat down at the drum kit,” the musician laughs. His favorite holiday is Victory Day. As a child, he had the nickname Red. “I imagined that I was singing and playing in front of a million people, it gave me a real thrill.”

Bulanov is interested in the history of the period of Peter the Great.

Ekaterina Ivanchikova studied at the Belarusian State University named after M. Tank (her main subject is philology of the Belarusian language, journalism).

Ekaterina is a finalist in the television project “Star Stagecoach”, “Stairway to Heaven” (Belarus). She loves to draw. Ekaterina is now happy to combine rest and work: “These are our road tours of Russian cities with the IOWA group.

Every far corner of Russia has its own unique cuisine and traditions! You work, relax and fill in the gaps in your geography course.” She prefers Vivienne Westwood's bold clothing style, as well as a combination of retro and modern. “When I was five years old, I announced to everyone that I wanted to become a singer. After a few years, the family got used to this information.”

She loves different music, regardless of genres and directions: “The important thing is that it must be professional, sincere and creative. I love the style of Lady of the Throne, its way of presentation. Or the exact opposite of this music: “Guano Apes.” Her favorite holiday is New Year: “New Year is a kind of holiday only for the soul, not for the body. If something goes wrong, there is always a chance to start over.” She doesn't believe in omens, she believes in God.

Back in 2008, vocalist Ekaterina Ivanchikova sang in the musical Prophet Ilya Oleynikov. And in 2009, the IOWA group was formed in Mogilev. They entered the music world in 2009, after a series of successful concerts in St. Petersburg.

As a result, they settled there permanently, where the members and producer of the group Oleg Baranov still live today. They continue to gain popularity, huge audiences at concerts and millions of views on music videos. In March 2012, she became a participant in the popular TV show “Red Star” on the first.

In July of the same year, the group represented Russia on a new wave. At the beginning of 2014, she released her sixth video, this time for the song “Spring”. One of IOWA became the soundtrack to the Russian popular TV series “Kitchen”.

The group is a laureate of the International Classical Guitar Players Competition in Belgorod; she is also the first prize-winner of the republican competition “Stairway to Heaven”.

About the Group

I.O.W.A. (Idiots Out Wandering Around) is an American idiom.

Translated: “You can’t hide the truth.”

Examine every cell of the human body and you will not find the gene responsible for the perception of music... Having gathered together, the group members formed a unique gene I.O.W.A., becoming one, alny whole.

The group was born in 2009 in Belarus. And already in 2010, after a series of successful acoustic concerts in St. Petersburg, the vocalist of the group, together with the guitarist, made an informed decision to move to Russia. To St. Petersburg.

For whom and what is our music about?

We do not fall into the search for what is visible to the touch, we do not try to add mysticism to our songs. We quickly write small, but nevertheless significant stories about positive melancholy, beautiful solitude, in which a person is able to create; about LOVE, without which he is not able to create. Our music is for everyone who cares about it.

I.O.W.A. - this is more, wider and more diverse than music limited by one genre. This is also evidenced by the fact that our instrumental music is heard in the one-act play “... means I’m alive,” which was presented at the international festival IFMC in Belarus.

IOWA is ready to make your holiday unforgettable and play a special New Year's program!

Katya "I.O.W.A." Ivanchikova (vocals, lyrics, set design)

2003 - Graduated from music school with a class in choreography and drawing! Started writing my own songs;

Leonid "LENNY" Tereshchenko (rhythm and solo guitar, music, arrangement)
Since childhood, I have shown creative abilities and a passion for the stage. As a child, according to his parents, he took a broom in his hands and sang M. Boyarsky’s songs throughout the apartment. He graduated from high school with an aesthetic bias. In high school, I drew guitars and the names of famous rock bands on my desk. For which I was an active participant in general cleaning of the classroom... and all creative evenings...
1999 - One day, having seen a guitarist play live at one of the concerts, he fell ill with music. Being extremely interested in the guitar, I decided to take private lessons. He entered the Mogilev Music College named after. Rimsky-Korsakov. During his studies, he became a laureate of prestigious international competitions and festivals. He was actively involved in concert activities. In parallel with classical music, he was actively interested in the art of arrangement.
2004 - After graduating from college, he was invited to perform in the USA. All efforts and aspirations were directed to this area, however, leaving for several years was impossible, since a visa was refused more than once.
2005 - Received an invitation to work at the Spamash production center in Minsk. He worked as an arranger and session man with “Belarusian pop stars”. I give private guitar lessons. I work in the group I.O.W.A.

Vasily “VASE. M" Bulanov (drums)
The first thing that seriously shocked me in my life was King Michael (Michael Jackson). I tried to copy him, found shirts, hung all sorts of danglers on them. In front of the mirror I tried to repeat his movements. Made wigs from laces...
Once I learned that one institution was recruiting for a musical ensemble. This was the Palace of Pioneers. There I picked up drumsticks for the first time and realized that I would like to do this in the future. Reporting concerts in the city districts and other performances drew me more and more into creative activity. The first group was moving in the “punk” direction, and that’s when I first felt the drive and power of rock music. This attracted me, and I decided on the style that I would like to perform. I tried myself in different groups and projects. From everything I extracted what I needed for further growth. Over time, playing drums became more than a hobby. Video school classes have yielded results. I give private lessons in playing percussion instruments.
Since 2009 I have been working in the group I.O.W.A.

Katya, your group regularly wins various music awards. Which one brings back the most vivid memories?

The "Golden Gargoyle" figurine, issued by the legendary Moscow club "16 tons". The most frivolous award of all the serious ones. That evening we joked a lot with Alexander Revva, and I received the award from the hands of Mikhail Efremov. In the dressing rooms next to us were Suzanne and Malbec, Antokha MC and SunSay, we met and took pictures together with my figurine. It was heartwarming and fun. But we don’t have a single MUZ-TV dish. And they are very beautiful. (This year at the MUZ-TV awards, the IOWA group is presented in the category "Best Pop Group" - pRome. ed.).

Is it true that you are preparing several unexpected duets for the concert in Crocus?

We have long promised our fans a duet with Lena Temnikova - and it will happen. With Anton Belyaev from Therr Maitz we will arrange crazy dances, and then the dynamics will only increase: people from the audience will come up to the stage, we will use them in several numbers. We recently did a flash mob for the song “It’s Bad to Dance,” a huge number of people took part in it, and at the concert we will invite the winner of the competition to the stage. At the end of the concert we will congratulate Gosha Kutsenko on his birthday! He, like us, has a holiday on this day. And that's not all. The audience will be treated to a concert that we will never be able to repeat anywhere else; it is one of a kind. And I'm not kidding. In addition to all the hits, at the concert we will perform two very fresh songs: “Fall” and “Silence at me.” What else? A new light show and - oh, joy! - There is no age limit at this concert. We are waiting for everyone.

The IOWA group has existed for 10 years. How did it all begin? Did you quickly get along with the musicians?

I searched for my musicians for several years until I found Lenya (Leonid Tereshchenko is now Katya’s husband, as well as the guitarist of the IOWA group and songwriter - Ed.) and Vasya (Vasily Bulanov - Note Ed.). We met in Mogilev, and immediately began writing songs with Lenya, from the first second we met. He came into the rehearsal space, said hello, unsheathed his guitar, and we started talking. At the same time, practically without words - everything is through music.

We recorded the first song literally on our knees, at home. It was called "Spring". Then Lenya started distributing this demo on social networks. He attached a song with the words “Sharing my mood.” People reacted to this "mood" in different ways. But most people liked the song. One of the organizers of concerts in St. Petersburg invited us to perform, we arrived and immediately understood: St. Petersburg is love at first sight... There we met our people.

What do you think is the pinnacle of a career for a musician in our country? And how far is the IOWA group from reaching this peak?

It will be possible to understand whether this is a peak or not only after some time. The big one can be seen from a distance. It is important how you feel about certain events in life. It happens that a musician is praised by his friends - and he already turns up his nose, considering this his peak. Others gather stadiums and hundreds of thousands of people at their concerts, but it’s not enough for them. We cherish every day in our lives, we do what we love, we speak the same language with thousands of people - through songs. We work hard on ourselves, but even in the process we are definitely happy.

Is there a song in the IOWA repertoire that you are tired of because audiences constantly ask you to perform it?

We constantly change the arrangements of old songs, so we don't get tired of them. Besides, it’s just an incredible feeling when the audience sings your song from beginning to end with you.

Which of your songs is your favorite at the moment?

“The same thing” and the new one - “Keep your mouth shut on me.” We're releasing it in May along with a video.

Where does the name “disco tribe” come from, which is firmly attached to IOWA, what kind of beast is this?

We were vacationing in Thailand, and it was decided to film on the island of Koh Samui. I wanted to act as a rebel from the jungle. I learned from the Internet that the Iowas were the last Indian tribe. This fact determined everything: I built a homemade roach - a crown of feathers, like the Indians, and took a photo. Then, when I posted the photo, either T9 worked, or I just made a mistake, I can’t remember, instead of the tag #Indian tribe, the tag #discotribe appeared. Both we and our fans accepted our new “title” with delight.

Do you have any reference points in Western music?

My dream is to record a duet with Stromae. There are many such landmarks, and the best thing is that you don’t know what will happen tomorrow. I listened to System of a Down as a teenager, but I couldn’t even imagine that I would ever record a duet with Serj Tankian, the vocalist of this band.

Are your musical tastes similar to your husband’s?

Yes, so much so that we have almost identical playlists on our phones. We even frown at the same time when we don’t like this or that song.

What is it like to work together with your spouse? You are always together.

Lenya and I started dating in 2009. For about two years we doubted the correctness of combining personal and work. In 2012, we were registered at the Chaussian registry office, Mendelssohn’s waltz was performed, and it was jammed a couple of times, and in 2016 we got married. Lenya is amazing. I met someone who made me open up in creativity! He always believed in me, pushed me forward, was my biggest critic and openly admired me. We have the same thinking, feeling in music. We create it silently, in love, building the energy of trust around ourselves. I know that he will play the same passage for me in a circle, until I compose something, he will wait, without tension. He is very wise, he senses my changes in mood, but I can’t keep anything to myself or accumulate grievances, I immediately lay it out at the stage of the problem’s emergence. It turns out that this always works. He thanks me for sharing with him.

And I am grateful to him. For everything.

Ekaterina Ivanchikova is known as the lead singer of the popular music group IOWA. In Russian and Belarusian show business, the singer stands out for her expressiveness and originality. The compositions, the poems for which the talented girl writes herself, are extraordinary and emotional. This allows the group to remain at the top of the charts for a long time.

Biography of the singer

Katya IOWA - this is what many fans call the talented singer. In fact, IOWA is the name of the group where the girl is the lead singer. The real name of the singer is Ivanchikova Ekaterina Leonidovna.

Katya came from Belarus. She was born on August 18, 1987 in the city of Chausy, Mogilev region, into an ordinary family. Her father worked as a builder, her mother was a teacher in a kindergarten. The parents loved their daughter and encouraged her passion for creativity in every possible way. From early childhood, Katya was engaged in drawing, singing and dancing.

At the age of 6, she first expressed her desire to become a singer. Then, in 1992, the girl took 1st place in the regional competition among children's institutions. Later, her parents enrolled her in a music school to study piano. However, playing an instrument and practicing solfeggio did not interest Katya much. Then her vocal abilities left much to be desired.

Ekaterina grew up as an active and kind girl. As a child, she often brought home and helped sick and homeless animals. The future singer studied well, for which some of her pranks were forgiven.

At the age of 15, the girl fell in love for the first time, which was the impetus for writing her first poems. At this time, she began to often visit neighboring Mogilev. This city is a kind of mecca for rock musicians in Belarus. There Katya made new acquaintances, which later came in handy in conquering the stage.

Increasingly, she thought about a musical career, but academic singing was required to enter the Conservatory or the Mogilev School of Culture. The girl did not have enough data, and she entered the Pedagogical University in Minsk, which she successfully graduated with a degree in philology and journalism.

During her student years, her career as a singer began. In 2005, Katya participated in several Belarusian television projects: “Star Stagecoach” (analogous to the Russian “Star Factory”), “Hit Moment” and “Stargazer”. In 2007, she performed as a soloist in Ilya Oleinikov’s musical “The Prophet”.

More and more often, Katya is thinking about creating her own group. After graduating from university, she moved to Mogilev and got a job in her specialty. Then she met Leonid Tereshchenko, the guitarist of the future group, and a little later with Vasily Bulanov, the drummer of the group.

Composition and history of the group name IOWA (IOWA)

In 2008, the guys decided to create a group. At that time, the team consisted of 3 people: Ekaterina Ivanchikova, Leonid Tereshchenko and Vasily Bulanov.

The guys had no money, they had to earn extra money. Katya worked as a waitress and sang in restaurants. Once she was even hospitalized due to tobacco smoke poisoning. The group did not immediately decide on a style. At first the guys were into hard rock. Katya sang in a growling manner and almost lost her voice because of it.

Fans are interested in the meaning of the group's name: who came up with what IOWA is and how this abbreviation is correctly translated. The fact is that friends called the young aspiring singer that way because of her passion for the work of the group Slipknot.

IOWA stands for “Idiots Always Walk Around,” which literally translates to “Idiots always walk in circles.” Despite such a strange decoding, Katya liked the nickname. Therefore, the newly formed team had no questions about what they should be called. The guys gave the group this name - the nickname of the lead singer.

Now there are 6 people playing in it. In addition to the 3 founders of the group, keyboard player Andrey Artemyev, drummer Ruslan Gadzhimuradov and bass guitarist Alexander Gavrilov joined the band. The producer of the group is Oleg Baranov.

Musical creativity

Since 2008, the guys have been singing in bars and cafes. Once they managed to perform as an opening act at a concert of the Animal Jazz group. In 2010, they received an offer to perform in St. Petersburg at an apartment show from Vitaly Glushchak. At that moment the guys had no money. They sold some of the instruments, took $100 with them and went to another country.

Difficulties began at the station. At the exchange office they were given 500 rubles instead of 2500. Despite this, the guys liked the city so much that they decided to move to St. Petersburg. The group members recall that they met sympathetic people who were always ready to help. For example, at a concert they met 2 girls who offered them accommodation and then helped them with stage costumes.

The group even performed on the streets, collecting money for numbers from passers-by. Later they got a job at a factory where they painted decorative candles. At this time, their “Simple Song” was already playing on the radio, and a video was shot. It is considered the group's first song. But it was not this composition that brought them popularity.

The group members used every known method to get noticed. They handed out CDs and applied for various festivals. This is how they were noticed by future producer Oleg Baranov. This happened when the team auditioned for a performance at “Scarlet Sails”.

Oleg did not like the group’s creativity at all and the way they behaved on stage. However, he noted the guys’ charisma and energy, which allowed him to see future stars in them. The musicians were delighted with their new acquaintance and agreed to cooperate. After this, the band's touring life began. Oleg changed the style of the team, helped determine the images and direction.

In 2012, the guys appeared on the TV show “Red Star” on Channel One. After this, they shoot a video for the song “Mom”. This composition becomes their first hit. The video quickly gained a million views on the Internet. The same year was released for the “Smile” video, the song from which Katya sings in a phone advertisement.

And in the middle of the year, the group receives a special prize at the “New Wave” competition and the title “Discovery of the Year” at the Belarusian National Music Award.

At the beginning of 2013, the guys took part in the TV show “Let’s Get Married” with the song “Looking for a Husband” and in “Big Dance” with the song “Mom”. In 2014, the group’s first single, “The Same Thing,” was released, and the song itself was featured on the soundtrack to the sitcom “Kitchen.” A little later, the song “Smile” appears in the same series. And “A Simple Song” ends up in the series “Fizruk”.

More and more often, Katya and the group are invited to various ceremonies and festivals. The guys collaborate with famous brands. In 2014, the group released their debut album “Export”. The team continues to conduct active concert activities and shoot videos. A year later, IOWA received the first award at the Golden Gramophone 2015 award. At the beginning of 2016, the group released their mega-hit “Marshrutka”.

Katya also worked on the voice acting for several cartoons. The main character of the film “Wolves and Sheep: A Crazy Transformation” speaks in her voice. The title soundtrack “Stay Yourself” is also authored by the singer.

In November 2016, the band’s new album, “Import,” was released. Ekaterina Ivanchikova performed the song “Beats the Beat” on the 5th season of the show “The Voice” together with Mikhail Zhitov and Sardor Milano. “IOWA” performed at the “Big Love Show” and “Evening Urgant”, and their new album was awarded in the “Best Belarusian Pop Album” category at the Experty.by portal.

In 2017, the group went on the “Bad to Dance” tour and gave the opening concert in St. Petersburg. In the same year, the guys were lucky enough to record a joint composition with the lead singer of System of a Down, Serj Tankian.

It was the soundtrack "A Beautiful Day to Die" for the film "The Legend of Kolovrat". By the end of the year, the team received several more awards and starred in “New Year’s Eve on Channel One.”

In 2018, the guys released a new single, “Silence on Me,” and recorded a duet with Elena Temnikova.

Personal life

First love

Katya fell in love at a young age. She was only 15 years old, her chosen one was older. Then, under the influence of her first feelings, the girl began to write poetry. The romance was short-lived. However, he left a mark on Katya's work. The girl’s desire to become a singer became even stronger.

Leonid Tereshchenko

At the beginning of her career, Catherine did not reveal the secrets of her personal life. According to the singer, she had no time to think about romance, because after moving to St. Petersburg and starting performances, their days were scheduled minute by minute.

However, already at that time she had developed a romantic relationship with the band’s guitarist Leonid Tereshchenko. From the first days they understood each other perfectly. For a long time, their relationship was friendly, and later grew into love. A romance began between the guys.

Katya always dreamed of having a reliable and sensitive man nearby. This is exactly what her chosen one turned out to be. According to the guys, working together does not interfere with their relationship at all, and even brings the couple closer together.

Candid photographs of the artist for men's publications did not affect the feelings of young people. Katya's photos appeared on the pages of Maxim and Playboy magazines. According to the couple, they understand that this is the price they pay for fame.

Despite the singer’s tall stature and her model figure, Katya rarely spoils her fans with candid photos. She recently posted on Instagram a photo in a swimsuit in which she is relaxing with Leonid.

Wedding

The couple's romantic relationship lasted 10 years. Leonid proposed in 2012. According to Katya, this happened in a shopping center when she and her mother were shopping. Lenya unexpectedly presented the bride with a huge bouquet of roses and a ring. The girl agreed.

The guys signed the same year at the Chaussky registry office. However, the busy tour schedule did not allow the couple to immediately organize a celebration. Another 4 years passed before the newlyweds had a real wedding.

This happened in the fall of 2016. The guys secretly got married in Karelia in an abandoned church from 1935 in the village of Lumivaara. The date of the ceremony was not made public, so the guys only had close relatives and friends at the wedding. Journalists and fans learned about the event only a few days later, when Katya posted a photo in a wedding dress on Instagram. The guys admit that the celebration took place in a warm and romantic atmosphere. And the guys from Comedy invited as hosts did not even charge the newlyweds.
