A little history
Jenga- board game, unusual name which means “to build” in Swahili. The idea for the game came from Leslie Scott, a British game designer of Tanzanian origin. As a child, she loved building pyramids from wooden cubes, which probably inspired her to create Jenga. The first batches of the game hit the shelves in London in 1983, and Hasbro subsequently acquired the rights to it.

2. No strategy
Forget about any strategy, just don't waste your time on it. Why? Because each block is at least slightly different in weight and size from the others, so all the towers that you will collect before starting the game will be different.
3. Higher is not better
Many people try to build the highest possible tower. Therein lies the mistake. The higher the tower, the more unstable it is.
4. Be nimble
The rules state that when pulling the bars out of the tower, you can only use one hand. But the hands get tired under tension, which can have a bad effect on the result. But the rules don't say anything about changing hands. Also, nowhere does it say that you cannot balance the tower with your shoulder, using your hand as a brace.
5. Control the tower
If it seems to you that there are no more available bricks left, it is quite possible to make them so. How? For example, if the central block on the “floor” was removed, but two side blocks remained, clamp them at one edge (making them a diagonal in a square), and then remove one of them.
6. Distribute the load to your advantage
Placing blocks on top of the tower can give you an advantage over your opponent. You can make it more difficult for your opponent by stacking the bars on only one side. But be careful, if your opponent copes with your trap, you may end up in a “shaky” situation.
From own experience I can say that the biggest difficulty in the game was coping with laughter, which in most cases was the reason for losing.

After all, the situation only gets worse with every move.
How to increase interest
Play for desire! How many everyday issues we decided during this game! I washed the floors, and the dishes, and cleaned the apartment :))) But without tears or resentment towards my husband, because everything was decided in a fair fight. No, of course, in fact he laughed at me and went to help. In a large company, we really like to play, who will wash the dishes after our get-together, then everyone play with passion, at least not to lose, because this is at stake! And when all these options get boring and you don’t know what else to order, then you can use each block apply a number and make a sheet with transcripts, and even take an assignment for forfeits. At the moment of destruction of the tower, they look at which block with which number is left in their hands; the task under this number will have to be completed.
From what age
Our two-year-old son loves to play this game, and he’s already getting good at it. I think from three he will already be a full-fledged player. The most big problem- the second pen constantly strives to help, but we, of course, allow it :)
How else to use
When we saw this game on sale, the question of whether to take it or not was not even raised, since we had long wanted a wooden construction set for a child, and compared to a construction set of similar size, the tower was twice as big cheaper! In the end, we took the tower and it turned out to be two in one. My son asks to get the tower almost every day and uses it in all his games. He builds roads, houses, barriers and simply transports them in a truck, loading them with a tractor with a bucket.
