Minecraft help for beginners. Survival Tips for Minecraft Pocket Edition Newbies

It’s probably not worth talking about what it is Minecraft game. No one needs this, and it will take a lot of time. If you launched the game for the first time, it will be useful to familiarize yourself with some features.

Interface

The character you play can interact with the world around you. For this, his inventory is used, which is 9 cells of space at the bottom of the screen. Later, by moving objects and blocks into this space, you will be able to use them.

When you press the E button (in the English layout), an expanded inventory opens - here you can store various things. You can also put armor on your character, but more on that later.

First day

So, after loading the map, the game world opens. First you need wood. Having found a suitable tree, we cut down the trunk by hand, collecting the required number of wood blocks - 64 pieces are enough. Next you will need to make a workbench (recipes can be found on the official wiki project). The next step is the axe. A wooden ax will allow you to cut down a tree a little faster. Make a couple of these and chop some more wood. After cutting down the trunk, the foliage surrounding it will disappear. With some probability, seedlings or apples will fall out of it. The latter are an important element. Eating them replenishes your hunger bar. If not long time, then health will begin to decrease. So always carry some food with you.

First night, first danger

The darkest time of day in Minecraft is the most dangerous. At night, mobs appear everywhere - dangerous monsters (see also). The most dangerous are zombies, skeletons, and spiders. To survive the first night, you don’t need to have a house; it will be enough to dig up 3 blocks of earth, jump into this hole, and close the hole with a block of earth. So you need to sit until dawn - the mobs will burn in the sun and will not pose a danger.

We extract resources

In order to work more efficiently and with less time, you will need advanced tools. Make yourself a couple or three wooden picks, and start digging a mine. First, remove the layer of soil, and when you get to the stone, start digging it with a pick. The stone will become cobblestone when mined. It will also need about two stacks - that is, 128 pieces.

Now you can make stone axes, shovels and pickaxes. If you want, you can mine iron ore. But it is worth noting that in the early stages of the game there is practically no need for this - stone tools are much easier to make, and their production is cheaper.

After this, you can start building a house. At this stage, everything is quite simple, but there is one “but” - it is advisable to make the house from cobblestones - it is stronger than wood, and you also do not need to leave gaps in the walls - a mob can easily climb in there.

An important step in protecting against mobs is lighting. As mentioned above, they appear in the dark. Make a stove and turn the wood into charcoal (unless, of course, you accidentally found regular coal while mining cobblestone). Then make torches and place them around the house. If there are any left over, place them around the house, it will be very useful.

If you are lucky and you come across sheep, kill them. The fallen wool can be used to craft a bed. When you go to bed, you can skip the night, thereby saving yourself from danger.

As you mine more resources, there will no longer be enough space in your inventory. To do this, use chests.

Finally, when there is required quantity wood, cobblestones, and there is also a place where you can safely wait out the night, you can start digging a mine. Now the main task is to extract iron ore, so there is no point in digging very deep - there is no point in it. Having dug up the required amount of ore, smelt it in the furnace. Make an iron pickaxe from the ingots and go back to the mine to look for diamonds.

Getting food

There are two ways to get food - raising animals and growing crops. The first method is quite complicated (see also). But the second one can be mastered quite quickly. Cut down the grass and get wheat seeds from it. After this, make a hoe and plow the land near a river or any other body of water. After planting the seeds, you need to wait. When the wheat is ripe, it can be cut down. The wheat itself will fall out of it, as well as seeds. After that we make bread and plant the seeds again.

Mob battles

In order to attack mobs, you will need to make a sword, preferably an iron one. You will also need armor to reduce the damage received - leather will not provide much protection, it is best to use iron or diamond.

The safest opponents are zombies. They are easy to kill, and also keep them at a distance with sword strikes - this will prevent them from getting close.

It's more difficult with skeletons - they shoot from bows. It is possible to dodge an arrow, but it is extremely difficult without training. It is better to avoid the skeletons, but if you need to kill him, then it is better to approach him in zigzags - this way there is less chance of an arrow hitting you.

When dealing with spiders you need to have some skill. There is no need to rush headlong at them. It's better to wait until he gets close and jumps. At the moment of the jump, you need to hit the spider with a sword.

Enderman are not dangerous in themselves. They will begin to attack the player only when he looks at them. So if you don't aim at this mob, everything will be fine.

Creepers. Do not approach them under any circumstances! They explode and thereby not only kill you, but also destroy buildings.

Minecraft is the most popular game whose developers have managed to sell over 100 million copies of the game. It is ranked second in the world as the game with the most copies sold. The first place in the world is, of course, occupied by the game Tetris. As you understand, the game Minecraft has won millions of sympathy from players. Many well-known YouTubers began their careers with this game, filming letsplays, guides, reviews of mods, plugins, textures and walkthrough maps.

1) Choose the right platform.

This cult game is widespread in almost every gaming industry. Starting from mobile phones(smartphones) and ending with consoles such as PS3, PS4, Xbox 360. But let's not forget that the Minecraft game was originally designed to be played on a personal computer. And the best way to get acquainted with the game and enter it for the first time is from a computer. Since the game was created specifically on PC, it is better to start playing it with the computer version. But you can also start playing on consoles. But we do not recommend getting acquainted with the game on mobile versions games, since many game functions are not available in them. Although the game consists of almost nothing but cubes, it wastes a lot of RAM, since Minecraft is written in Java. Many will say, what is there to do there? The game has nothing... Excuse me, the game has huge worlds of which there are three in the standard version - Ordinary world- this is the world where you start your game, the Ender world - the world in which the boss Ender Dragon is located and into which, if you particularly wish, you can get through the portal, and the Nether world (Underworld) - the world where the boss is Ghast, and where sand and dead souls, and the world consists of hellish bricks.

2) Do not rush under any circumstances.

The first misconception is that Minecraft is a very fast game, and by logging into it for an hour you can complete the entire game. What about development? high level achievements? The game has excellent magic, resource extraction and much more. This game does not dictate its own rules to you, you will do it and the game will end. This is an open world game and you yourself must choose your own path of development. You yourself must understand what you need in the game - construction, excavations (resource extraction), a passion for magic, battles with mobs and bosses (you can even turn off aggressive mobs in the game settings by changing the difficulty setting to PEACEFUL), and much more, and everything that whatever. As they say open world, open to everyone.

3) Play Survival.

The most popular Minecraft game mode is, of course, Creative Mode. This mode is useful for getting acquainted with the game; you can place an unlimited number of blocks in it. Creative mode is also useful for experiments in construction. But we advise you to play the Survival mode, as it will show you all the delights of the game. Fighting mobs agriculture breeding animals and growing plants. We also recommend the survival mode only because it allows you to upgrade achievements in the Minecraft game. You can also make achievements on our website by clicking on (clickable) and create the achievement you want.

4) Learn to love cubes in Minecraft.

Many people who go into Minecraft don’t understand why the whole world consists of just cubes. Why can’t we make it look normal with smoothed textures like in all other games. Let's try to understand: Minecraft is something like Lego, and every time a new world is created, it is generated by itself. When you move around the map, along with your movement, a continuation of your world is generated. It's very simple. But there are a lot of shaders, resource packs (textures), and mods that are designed to change the world of the Minecraft game to a more realistic one.

Screenshots from the mod No Cubes.

But still, the Minecraft game is a game of your imagination, and look at it with your exclusively individual imagination, you will be able to understand the whole concept of the game - rivers, lakes, deep and unexplored caves, high and large mountains - a completely new one will open up for you, beautiful world.

5) Once you start the game, don’t get lost.

Every time creating new game A new and unknown world is generated for you, and absolutely no one can tell you where you will appear. The most important thing is not to get lost. After all, you may be lucky and find yourself right next to a forest and mountains where you can immediately get hold of wood to build a home, and craft armor and tools, and mountains are, of course, minerals and rocks. Or you can simply find yourself in the desert where it is hot all day long and there is only sand, a lot of sand, a lot of sand and grass and green cacti dried up from lack of water. Also finding ourselves on any small desert island, you won’t even understand which way to swim to find dry land nearby. But remember, Minecraft is a game in which you can die in several ways - fall from a great height and break, die from an unequal battle with evil mobs, choke in the water (when you are under water for a long time), and die of hunger (in Minecraft you need to eat ). To fight mobs, arm yourself in full - armor, or with arrows. And under no circumstances should you go into caves without weapons, as evil mobs appear at night or in the dark. Be careful. Don't panic under any circumstances. If night comes and you have not built a home for yourself, then simply dig a hole or hole in the mountain and fill it with blocks, thereby you can survive the night, or climb a tall tree, or build a column of 9-15 blocks high by jumping on it and then survive the night in the same way.

6) Learn to get food.

Food is one of the most important parts of the game, since without food you can die. So start looking for food right away. Cows and chickens are best suited for eating pigs. But we advise you to fry the meat before eating, as raw food can cause food poisoning. But if you are on the verge of starvation, then you can eat raw meat. You can also grow wheat and make bread from it. You can also craft a fishing rod and use it to catch fish in any body of water (lake, sea, ocean, river), and in any puddle you can find fish and fry it.

7) Start building beautifully in Minecraft.

At first, of course, you can build boxes like shelters from evil mobs and rain. Over time, you should learn to build beautifully in the game, since when returning from hunting or battles, or mining, you will see your house every time. Build beautiful house, in which you will fit perfectly, and in which you will be comfortable, and you can, feeling safe, while away the evenings by the fireplace or stove, biting a very tasty cake.

8) Make a bed.

A bed in Minecraft is a spawn point. If you die anywhere, you will be reborn near your bed. Place a bed and lie down on it, thereby establishing a respawn point. And thus you will not lose your home later. If you do not install a bed, then after death you will find yourself at the point where you first appeared on the map when the world was created and the game began. And the house may be very far from this point.

Guide for a beginner

This guide dedicated to those who have never played minecraft, but I've heard about it and would like to try it. In the majority computer games When we start, we immediately understand what is required of us and where we need to go. In minecraft, everything is different, namely, we are not given any hints and are left to our own devices.

How to start playing minecraft? Everything is very simple: first we must decide whether we want to play alone or with friends (for more details, see how to create your own server). This guide will cover game alone.
By selecting “ Single player“We are asked to create a world in which we will play. There are also three game modes: survival, hardcore and creative.

Survival– a mode in which you need to monitor your health, hunger, look for ore and build houses.
Hardcore- also survival, only if we die, we will no longer be able to be reborn - the world will have to be deleted.
Creative- a regime in which we do not need to worry about hunger and health - we simply do not have them. We also have access to flight (double-press spacebar) and an unlimited number of resources.

First day

So, you've created a world in survival mode - what should you do? The first piece of advice is – don’t run far from the place where you appeared – this is spawning. Better yet, mark it with, say, a column. If you die, you will be reborn in the same place. In the future, you can create a bed that will transfer the location of your respawn. It doesn’t matter what area you appear in - be it mountains, swamps, deserts or forests. The first step is to build a temporary shelter, like the one in the picture. For this we will need various blocks and tools.

We must act quickly, since we only have 10 minutes while the day passes, then night comes and the monsters come out. Let's collect some wood - to do this, we'll go to the nearest one and hit (by pointing the sight at it and holding down the left mouse button) on the desired block, cracks will appear and eventually it will fall out in the form of a small cube. The block can be collected while being at a fairly close distance from it - it goes into the inventory (you can open it with the E button).

In the same inventory on top there are 4 slots for crafting. You need to craft a desktop in them. And on the desktop (3x3 cells) we steal an axe, a shovel and a pickaxe. They are needed to quickly collect wood, earth, stone and other blocks.

example of crafting a pickaxe

Let's assume we managed to build a more or less usable box before sunset. Now we need to illuminate it with torches. Torches are made from coal and sticks. You already know how to make sticks, now about coal. The first way is to go to a cave. On the surface we may encounter caves leading down, in which we can find coal, iron and other ores. Remember: to mine coal and iron we need a stone pickaxe, it is made like a wooden one, but we replace the boards with stone. The second way is to fry the tree. To do this we need to assemble the oven. Having placed kindling material in the lower cell and wood in the upper cell, we wait until coal is formed. Now you can start creating torches. To do this, place the ember over the stick and get 4 torches. They, like other blocks, need to be placed with the right mouse button.

By this time, most likely, night has already fallen and it is best to wait it out in our temporary shelter. What should you be afraid of at night? Monsters! As darkness falls, spiders, skeletons, zombies and creepers begin to spawn around.
The night also lasts 10 minutes, but we can’t sit at home and be bored?! Let's get to the mine! Here our task is simply to dig down (it’s better to use a ladder or, if there is enough wood, you can make a ladder yourself and dig down). Don’t dig deep, otherwise you might accidentally fall into the lava and burn. It is best to dig down to the cave or just start digging through the earth and stone in search of ore. But be careful, there are monsters in the caves! So, the first day of our game in Minecraft is over.

Day two

In addition to lives (10 hearts on the left above the quick access panel) there are 10 “ chicken legs” is hunger. Over time, our character loses these “legs”; they need to be restored by eating something, for example, beef or pork, preferably fried. How to get food?
Surely on the way to your house you met pigs, cows and chickens - if you kill them, raw food may fall out of them. Dishes are fried in the oven. In addition to meat, there is other food in the game, but you can read more about farming later.
You will also meet sheep with the help of scissors, you can cut the wool from them (2-4 blocks of wool in the color of the sheep) or you can kill the sheep, but in this case you can’t expect more than 1 block of wool. Wool serves as a material for decoration, and you can also make a bed from it to change the location of our spawn. But you can sleep on it only at night, and the night passes and dawn comes.

There are no special tasks on the second day. If you continue play minecraft, then it’s best to prepare for the next night or look for material to expand and decorate your home.

Oh yes! I almost forgot about the chest - a place where you can store things. If there are ores, or even just blocks, you can drag them into the chest, where they will remain safe, because if you die, all your things will fall out of you.

Happy endeavors!

Well, as promised in the title of the article - video about starting a game of Mancraft!
