What new things have I collected from El Salvador? Your message has been sent, thank you for participating in the project. Childhood and adolescence

The whole world is discussing the Eurovision 2017 final and, of course, the top topic is: the winner is the Portuguese Salvador Sobral. The guy amazed everyone with his sensual composition and soulful performance of the song. We publish the main facts from the biography of this year’s Eurovision winner.

SUCCESS AND VICTORY
Literally on the last night before the final, Salvador managed to shift the sympathies of the bookmakers from the camp of the Italian Francesco Gabbani to his side. Even before the start of the final Euro race, Salvador Sobral received the Marcel Besançon Award. Many noted the purity and sincerity of both his songs and his performance. The lyrics with elements of Latin American sound captivated the audience, as did the completely intimate, soulful performance of Salvador Sobral.

NAME
Salvador Sobral is short for Salvador Vilar Bramkamp Sobral.

FAMILY
There is information that Sobral has noble roots of Portuguese aristocrats. Salvador is a descendant of the noble da Silva family, whose roots go back to mid-17th century century.

SISTER
Sobral's sister will become no less famous than Sobral, since it was she who wrote the winning song Amar pelos dois, and eventually performed it with her brother as an encore after the voting results were announced at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017.

EDUCATION
Studied at the Lisbon Higher Institute of Applied Psychology. Then Salvador decided to leave his studies at the institute, entering a prestigious music school Taller of Musics in Barcelona.

MUSIC
He positions himself as a singer in the genres of alternative rock, soul, and jazz. Salvador was a member of the indie pop group Noki Woi, from which he left in 2016. Sobral released his first solo album in 2016 called Excuse me. The album ranked 10th on the Portuguese charts. Interestingly, Sobral sang for some time in Mallorca (Spain) in local bars.

PARTICIPATION IN COMPETITIONS
Like many Eurovision 2017 participants, Salvado “interned” in a talent show. In 2009, he took part in the third season of the Portuguese version of the British talent show Pop Idol, but only took 7th place.

Interestingly, his sister, Louise Sobral, was ahead of her brother in vocal art: she took third place in the first season of the same competition.

DISEASE
Salvador Sobral took part in the Eurovision Song Contest under special conditions due to a congenital heart defect. Now fans are very worried about the news that Salvador Sobral urgently needs heart surgery.

NUMBER
It was no coincidence that Salvador Sobral’s performance was different from the rest: due to illness, the singer’s number was limited in light and sound, which is why the performance was so intimate. The singer also had to miss all rehearsals.

CIVIL POSITION
At the press conference of the semi-final winners, Salvador appeared in an “S. O. S. Refugees" (“Help Refugees”) and made the following statement:

“If I am here and Europe is looking at me, then the least I can do is a humanitarian message. People arrive in Europe on plastic boats and are required to provide documents to enter the country. These are not emigrants, they are refugees fleeing death. Don't make mistakes. There is a lot of bureaucracy in the Greek, Turkish and Italian refugee camps and we must create legal and safe routes from these countries to their final destinations.”

And if you still haven’t seen Salvador’s performance, here it is, for your attention!

Despite all the scandals associated with the competition, Eurovision still took place. On May 13, the grand final was held in Kyiv, where the name of the winner was finally announced. It was the Portuguese Salvador Sobral with the song Amar Pelos Dois.

He had strong competitors - Christian Kostov, representing Bulgaria, and Italian Francesco Gabbani. But in the end, Christian took second place, and Francesco eventually dropped to sixth. And next year Eurovision will be held in Portugal.

After the results were announced, Salvador went up on stage and performed the song together with his sister Louise, who was also the author of the composition that brought victory to Portugal.

Not much is known about El Salvador. Born in Lisbon, he comes from an ancient Portuguese family. In 2009, he took part in the local “Star Factory”. I studied psychology at university, but then decided to study music closely. He has a heart defect and needs urgent surgery. Western media are even reporting that he will have to undergo a transplant. They tried not to strain Salvador - and they allowed him to arrive at the very opening, skipping rehearsals, and did not shine spotlights in his eyes, and allowed him to perform on a small stage, so as not to tire him with the passage to the main one. Many people wondered why in this case The European Broadcasting Union has shown such flexibility, and why was it necessary to delegate such a sick artist who can hardly withstand all the events. But for the most part, people sympathized with El Salvador and wished him victory.

The song is about a heart that can withstand everything and love for two. Let's hope that this artist will cope with the joy of victory and the amount of congratulations from the fans of the competition - Portugal has the most active fans. But this is the first time the competition will go to this country. The best result before that was 6th place in 1996.

Let us remind you that Russia did not participate in the competition this year. Yulia Samoilova was supposed to travel from us, but the Ukrainian authorities decided that she had violated local legislation by allegedly illegally entering the territory of Crimea for the “World of Sports and Goodness” festival and refused to let her in. Our country rejected the proposal of the European Broadcasting Union for Yulia to perform remotely, as well as to replace her with another artist, because this was contrary to the rules of the competition. But it was decided that next year it would be Samoilova who would represent Russia at the European Review. In the meantime, the organizers are threatening us and Ukraine with sanctions. Square - for interfering politics in the show, to us - for the fact that the head of the delegation did not come to official meetings. The decision on sanctions (fines or suspension of the country for three years) will be announced on June 12 this year.

A brief overview of all the songs at Eurovision 2017. 26 countries took part in the final

On May 14, the name of the winner of the 62nd Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv became known, it was the singer Salvador Sobral, who represented Portugal with the song “Amar pelos dois”.

Early in the morning of May 14, the whole of Europe found out who won Eurovision 2017.
The singer Salvador Sobral from Portugal won the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 by performing the touching ballad "Amar pelos dois".
It was an exciting evening at the International Exhibition Centre, where in front of thousands of people in the arena and millions of people on TV, Salvador from Portugal won Europe's favorite TV show - Eurovision 2017 with the song "Amar pelos dois"!
So, I would like to immediately sincerely congratulate the winner Salvador Sobral and his sister Louise, as well as the Portuguese delegation on their victory at the 62nd Eurovision Song Contest 2017.

The winning song "Amar pelos dois" was performed in the most professional manner.
She conveyed to the viewer the whole atmosphere with which Salvador presented the song; his performance was touching and sensual.
And the song itself seemed to transport the viewer somewhere far away... far into the beginning of the 20th century.
The performer's vocals and manner of performance are very unusual, which was clearly conveyed to both the jury and the audience.

His victory came as a surprise to many, but after his performance in the semi-finals, bookmakers predicted a high place for Portugal.
During the voting, a very tense atmosphere reigned in the IEC, and when at the very end the presenters named Salvador Sobral as the winner of Eurovision 2017, the public joyfully accepted this fact.
The winners are not judged, and Portugal was named the winner of the competition, this country receiving the highest score from both the jury members and television viewers.

For a long time, the main contender for victory in the current competition was considered the 34-year-old Italian, winner of the competition in San Remo, Francesco Gabbani.
However, literally on the eve of the final, bookmakers changed the forecast.
They favored 27-year-old Portuguese representative Salvador Sobral with his soulful jazz ballad in Portuguese "Amar pelos dois".

In this song, the representative of Portugal sings about a heart that, according to the lyrics, “will endure everything and can love for two.” AND appearance performer, and his performance style is radically different from the Eurovision numbers.
Salvador abandoned fancy scenery and ballet on stage.
The performance itself was simple, without any show or costumes - just Salvador and a microphone.
But that is why there is nothing to distract about the sensual song and the soulful performer.
Perhaps the performance with a small number of movements is also dictated by the Portuguese’s state of health.
Touching, aesthetic and in a good way an old-fashioned ballad in Portuguese provokes polar opinions.
For some, this is a song of a level higher than Eurovision itself, for others it is a mothball unworthy of a modern competition.
One thing is certain: El Salvador showed the best result in recent extremely unsuccessful years for Portugal.

This year there was new system voting, where professional jury members first gave their scores, and at the very end the presenters announced the results of the audience voting.
As a result, according to the jury and TV viewers, it was the representative of Portugal, Salvador Sobral, who received the highest scores.
As an encore, he performed the winning song together with his sister Louise Sobral, who is the author of this composition.

26 wonderful performers sang their songs with soul and heart, competing for the main prize - “Crystal Microphone” and the title of Eurovision 2017 winner.
However, there can only be one winner and that is Salvador from Portugal who won with a total score of 758 points.

In second place was the singer Christian Kostov from Bulgaria with the stunning composition “Beautiful Mess” with a score of 615 points.
In third place is the Moldovan group Sunstroke Project with the song “Hey Mamma” with 374 points.

Europe decided this way, and next year the Eurovision Song Contest will go to Portugal.

Eurovision 2018 will take place in Portugal!
Presumably the competition will take place in the capital - Lisbon.

Portugal won the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 and now many want to know more about its representative, Salvador Sobral, who brought his country ahead by a large margin.

Salvador turned 27 on December 28; he was born in Lisbon in 1989. I would like to immediately note that he is not the only musician in the family, his older sister is the famous Portuguese folk singer Luisa Sobral, she accompanied her brother at Eurovision 2017 in Kyiv. The Salvadoran family comes from noble family, full name young man sounds like this: Salvador Vilar Bramkamp Collected.

Salvador Sobral has always been interested in music, he began his public performances with the show Ídolos, it was 2010, to a young performer was only 19 years old, maybe for this reason he did not have any enthusiastic impressions from participating in the television show; he had not yet had time to figure out what he wanted.

Salvador Sobral was supposed to become a psychologist, he even entered a prestigious institute in Lisbon, but even then he understood that his element was music. For this very reason, when he arrived in Mallorca (Salvador got there under a special program), the young man paid little attention to his studies, but instead performed in bars, where he performed his favorite songs by Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles. Salvador Sobral studied jazz, he studied it at one of the most prestigious schools in Barcelona, created his own group there and even released a live album.

When Salvador Sobral finally returned to his homeland, he almost immediately began working on his solo album, this was the result of all his wanderings, he called the album “Excuse Me”, which proved that he had succeeded as a singer.

Salvador Sobral has heart problems and, unfortunately, very serious ones; he has a heart defect and in the very near future the young man will have to undergo a complex operation, although a donor is required for it. Due to his illness, Salvador had a special rehearsal schedule, and his sister Louise not only accompanied her brother, in an emergency she would replace him on stage.

But, fortunately, everything went well, Salvador Sobral won, excellent performance and a well-deserved victory!.

Of course, the young man has his own pages on social media. networks, you can find them by following the links - Facebook (salvadorsobralmusic), and Instagram.

12.05.2017 - 23:24

The Eurovision 2017 final will take place late at night on Saturday 13 May. Those who cannot watch the live broadcast will find out the results on the morning of May 14. This year, 26 countries are participating in the finals.

And, although the results can never be certain in advance, three are named among the main contenders: Italian Francesco Gabbani (bookmakers odds - 5/6), Portuguese Salvador Sobral (15/8) and Bulgarian Christian Kostov (16/1).

Amar Pelos Dois ("Love Enough for Two")

The Portuguese national selection "Festival da Canção 2017" took place in March and consisted of two semi-finals and a final show. After a break in 2016, Portugal took a new approach to Eurovision songs, giving Portuguese and English equal chances. However, the author of the song, Salvador’s sister Louise, still chose her native language.

Louise Collected:
I wrote it thinking about my brother's voice. He is an extraordinary singer. If a song represents our country, then I think it makes sense to sing it in our native language, because it is very beautiful.

I did not write a song for participation in the competition. I noticed from the blogs that there is one goal - to win. And even if the song is bad, but it wins, people will still be happy. I can't do that. I wanted to write a song that represented me, that was worthy of being on my album, a song that I could be proud of. And I achieved this.

A text whose language is incomprehensible to most viewers does not actually need translation at all. Sobral's poignancy, touchingness and vulnerability make it much more understandable and relatable to the listener than the most literary translation could.

The song talks about a relationship that only ended for one. During the performance, Salvador stands motionless on a small stage in the middle of the hall. Only the face and hands “live”, constantly moving to the beat of the music. Some minimalism of the visual effects and a careless costume emphasize the loneliness and melancholy of a guy who loves so much that it’s as if for two.

Darling, hear my prayers.
I ask you to come back and love me again.
I know that it is impossible to love alone.
Perhaps gradually you can learn again.

Heart surgery

Salvador performs on a small podium in the middle of the dance floor, not for any special effect. This scene is a necessary measure, as is the request not to shine spotlights in your eyes during the performance.

All these measures are due to the fact that Sobral is seriously ill. To survive, he needs to find a heart donor by the end of the year. El Salvador was against this fact becoming public knowledge. But immediately after the selection in Portugal, he underwent surgery to remove two hernias, and the singer was able to appear in Kyiv only on May 7. Everything before that organizational issues Louise decided, which, naturally, could not escape the attention of the media.

Biography of Salvador and Louise Sobral

The singer was born in Lisbon on December 28, 1989. Full name– Salvador Vilar Bramkamp Collected. In his homeland, he became famous for his participation and seventh place in the show “Ídolos” (Portuguese version of “Pop Idol”, third season) in 2010. At his first audition, he was dressed with the same casualness that he showed on the Eurovision stage - in faded jeans and a T-shirt. But he sang songs by Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles and had absolutely no intention of becoming anyone’s idol.

Salvador Collected:
It was more serious than I expected. But the truth is that it is not musical, but television show. They shape people. I was 19 years old and didn't know what I wanted. The show creates a character for you, and little by little you have to try to fit into that character. I didn't want to be an idol at all. I myself didn’t know what I was, how could I become an idol for others?

After the show, Sobral tried to study psychology at the Lisboa Institute of Psychology, but pretty soon realized that it was not for him. In 2011, according to the program, I went to Mallorca, but even there, instead of studying, I sang songs of the same Wonder and Charles in bars. He then studied jazz at the prestigious Taller de Músics school in Barcelona.

The result of this two-year journey for music was the live album “Live at Cosmic Blend Studios”, which the Portuguese released in 2012 together with his team. Another Barcelona project - a joint album with the pop-indie group Noko Woi - opened the way for him to the stage of the Sónar Festival-2014.

After returning to his homeland, Salvador performed with other jazz musicians and began work on the solo album “Excuse Me” (released on March 18, 2016 under the Valentim de Carvalho label). The album turned out to be successful, as evidenced by invitations to the most famous city festivals in Portugal - EDP Cool Jazz and Vodafone Mexefest.

Salvador's sister, Louise, is as famous at home as her brother, if not more so. She is one of the most famous Portuguese authors and performers of the “new generation”.

In 2009, Louise graduated music college Berkeley, and in 2011 released her debut album, The Cherry on my Cake. To pay the bills, the girl had to perform in restaurants and bars. This kind of income brought experience and a closer connection with the listener. Now the eldest Sobral admits that she loves her life and would not want to change it. After all, for her, the stage is a home to which you can invite guests.

Portugal at Eurovision

El Salvador is already named best participant from Portugal for all 49 years. In general, it is included in the list of countries that have never taken first place. It has been participating since 1964, but its best results are still 2nd place in the semi-finals in 2008 and sixth in the finals in 1996. Last place it was awarded three times, with Portugal earning no points at all in 1964 and 1997. She refused to participate in Eurovision three times: in 1970, 2013 and 2016 and was disqualified in 2000 and 2002.

Naviband music now sounds from the stage of the Chekhov Moscow Art Theater

News of Belarus. Artem Lukyanenko and Ksenia Zhuk – composers of the Moscow Art Theater them. A.P. Chekhov. Naviband music is heard in the play “Scales” by Evgeny Grishkovets. The premiere of the play, designated by the author as “a night in one act,” took place on March 24 and 25.

Grishkovets notes: “ The guys wrote wonderful music for my performance».

Artem and Ksenia just now told their fans about their new project. Let us remind you that on Sunday the guys returned from the international Eurovision competition.

Naviband group:
My dears, for all the excitement and competition of the European Union, we completely forgot to tell you the right of our great supremacist union. At the same time, our music is booming at Maskve, at the Moscow Art Theater (MKhAT) named after Chekhava, and at the new great jumping and crane performances of Yaugen Gryshkaits “Scales”. We are a great successor to the dachynne and such a tsikavay on the right. This was a great thing, and we sleep more than once) There, at the same time, we receive fees from the campus of the theater named Chekhava!

Naviband in Belarus sucked as peramozhtsa: since the 17th month on “Eurabachanni” it is impossible to pair with the previous ones ().

“Libra” is a play about men who are experiencing perhaps the most exciting night of their lives. They are awaiting the birth of their children in the maternity hospital.

Evgeny Grishkovets (TV channel “Russia – Culture”):
The characters in Libra are not sissies at all. They are normal, down to earth men. But it is they, and precisely in this play, that are especially dear to me, because they are experiencing an exciting, most important and very special night. They worry together about the most important thing. I am well aware of the experiences of the characters in my play. I want to convey them through the actors with whom I work, as accurately as possible and close to the original plan.

They met in the city above Sozh. As usual, the chance meeting turned out to be fateful. The director attended the Naviband performance in Gomel. Grishkovets recalls: “the group gave the feeling of a full-fledged, large, multi-hundred concert.”

Evgeny Grishkovets (in an interview with the COLTA.RU project):
I had a tour in the city of Gomel. After the show I went to a bar and there was a top-notch band playing. The bar was very small, there were not many people, but they knew all the songs by heart. The guys sang in Belarusian and Russian. It was so great and bright that at some point I forgot that I was in a small bar; the band gave me the feeling of a full-fledged, large, multi-hundred concert. They found out I was at the bar and invited me on stage. I went out and improvised something like that, and it turned out nice. After the concert we talked and agreed to try to record a song together. So we tried it.

At the end of 2016, Grishkovets and Naviband presented a joint music project"Lullaby". The cooperation between the eminent playwright and representatives of Belarus at Eurovision does not end there. As Evgeniy Valerievich said in a recent interview: “ We have plans to record a few more songs, but we don't have time. If there is a mood, there will be music, so you have to treat it that way».
