“Strong” prayer for children
We will begin, perhaps, with such a concept as “strong prayer for children.” Unfortunately, modern mothers and fathers, far from church life, misunderstand the meaning of prayer, equating it to a spell. For them, prayer for children is not live communication with God and His saints, but a certain set of magic words, by saying which, their child should “automatically” become happy, healthy, rich (and the list goes on). Therefore, if you are told about some “strong” prayer, you need to understand that this has absolutely nothing to do with Orthodoxy. However, at the same time, maternal prayer really has incredible power! Sometimes real miracles happen through the prayers of mothers. Paradoxical, isn't it? In fact, everything is very simple... A mother’s heart, compassionate and sympathetic to her child, sincerely and repentantly praying to God, can do the impossible! Therefore, if you want your prayer for children to be strong, you need to:
Pray with attention, and not just say words like incantations. Delve into the text of prayers compiled by holy and pious people, try to pass them through your heart.
Pray with repentance, recognizing yourself as sinners for “ God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble"(1 Peter 5:5)

Pray to God first. Prayer to the Mother of God, saints and Guardian Angel will not replace prayer to the Creator!

Lead also a church life: regularly confess, take communion, read the Gospel. All this brings a Christian closer to righteousness, and the Apostle James said: “ The fervent prayer of the righteous can accomplish much"! (James 5:16)
What kind of prayers are there for children?
- Prayer in your own words (but sometimes the heart asks to pray for a long time, and we don’t have enough words to express our feelings. Then it’s very good to pray according to the prayer book - those prayers that the holy fathers have already compiled for us)
- Prayer before a certain icon. For example, there are a huge number of icons of the Mother of God. Each of them has its own story... According to good tradition, in front of some of them they pray for children. But, you need to understand - we pray to the Mother of God IN FRONT of the icon, which sets us in a certain mood. We do not pray to the ICON itself. This is what distinguishes Orthodox prayer about children from magic spells, which cause great harm to the soul!
- Akathists. These are praises (quite long) that are prayed while standing. Any mother can choose an akathist to pray for her children. This could be an akathist to the Lord, the Mother of God, or one of the saints.
As you can see, a mother’s strong prayer is primarily spiritual work, and not a set of certain “magic” words. But let’s not be discouraged - everyone can do this work!

A mother's word has special power. There is nothing brighter and more selfless than love mother. From the first day of birth of a child, the mother lives by his breath, his tears and smiles. The child needs the mother. This is the meaning of her life. Love for her baby is as natural to her as the blossoming of gardens in spring. Just as the sun sends out its rays, warming all living things, so a mother’s love warms a child. The mother introduces the child to life. Many good believing mothers have had to worry about their children dying in the whirlpool of a vicious, dissolute life. Some had to spend many years in sorrow, humbly waiting and hoping. Their holy tears and prayers were not in vain.

If prayer doesn't help
Sometimes the help expected from God never comes, as if He does not hear prayers. But in any case, there is no need to despair. From the point of view of the Christian meaning of life, it is better for some people to die in time and be saved for Eternal Life than to survive, but then destroy their soul. Nothing happens by chance with God, and He takes a person to Himself at the moment of his best spiritual state and greatest readiness for salvation in Eternity. Or when spiritual decline becomes irreversible.
And it also happens that God, seemingly for years, ignores the pleas of a mother asking him to help her child in trouble, but in the end the story has a good ending. And the reason for “deafness” turns out to be God’s desire to correct a person, for whom premature indulgences can only do a disservice.
A mother's prayer for her child
