Prokudin neither pity, nor love, nor patronage, nor help - he would not accept anything from us, but he needs our understanding. It is necessary in his own way - after all, he resists this understanding all the time, it is not for nothing that he was so inconsistent and threw out his knees. But all this is because he needed our understanding.
