Spongebob and other heroes. Biography of Mr. Krabs

General information

Spongebob Square Pants

Relentlessly optimistic, kind, funny, hardworking, and reliable, SpongeBob lives in the underwater town of Bikini Bottom. His best friend- starfish Patrick, but he has many other friends with whom he shares common interests. But there are also inhabitants of the town who cannot stand him. His neighbor, Squidward, an octopus who lives in a house that looks like a statue from Easter Island, constantly complains that SpongeBob does not allow him to live in peace. Very often SpongeBob gets too emotional, even in matters that he doesn't even know about (for example, when Squidward suggested that he go on strike at the Krusty Krab, and SpongeBob was very happy about it, although he didn't know what it was) . This, coupled with his excessive sociability and dolphin-like laugh, irritates others characters, such as Mrs. Puff, Squidward, and Plankton. By the way, SpongeBob was in prison once and spent the night in the police station once.

Interests

Patrick Star is one of the main characters in the American animated series SpongeBob SquarePants, voiced by Bill Fagerbake, and in the Russian version by actor Yuri Malyarov.

General information

Patrick is a pink, goofy, densely built starfish. He usually wears green shorts with purple flowers.

Patrick lives under a large rock, across the house from SpongeBob. Patrick has a wind direction indicator on his rock. Many episodes depict Patrick's house as a simple rock with Patrick sleeping on its underside. Other episodes show living quarters under a cliff, full of furniture and appliances made from sand, although the size of the rooms varies depending on the episode. The episode Home Sweet Pineapple shows Patrick covering himself with the rock like a big blanket.

Patrick Star is SpongeBob's neighbor and best friend. They have many common interests: blowing bubbles, catching jellyfish, the TV show “The Adventures of the Sea Superman and the Barnacle Boy.” He often calls on SpongeBob to join him in dangerous or silly activities, such as fishing hook rides. Sheldon Jay Plankton

Plans and attempts
  • Plankton first appears in the episode of the same name “Plankton!”, where he takes control of Spongebob’s brain and, with the hands of a naive cook, steals one of the Krabby Patties. He planned to place the Krabby Patty in a specially designed analyzer, but ended up getting caught in it himself. Thus, the seemingly foolproof plan completely fails.
  • In the episode "Plankton's Army", it is revealed that Sheldon has been trying to obtain the formula for 25 years. This time, he invites all his many relatives to help him take possession of the treasured formula, but Krabs gives him a fake recipe for making a Krabby Patty. As a result, all the relatives, including cousin Clem, who cannot understand the significance of the formula, run back to the Trash Can.
  • In the episode with a telling name"F.U.N." Spongebob teaches Plankton how to have fun, which results in them becoming friends. However, then, as expected, the microscopic villain betrays Spongebob and with his help gets the formula. But immediately after revealing his insidious nature, he falls into concrete and remains out of work.
  • In the episode "Fake Krabs", Plankton constructs a mechanical Krabs robot and passes it off as the real owner of the diner. But soon the real Mr. Krabs appears and stops Spongebob, who is about to give the secret formula to the fake.
  • In the episode " Culture shock“To obtain the Krabby Patty recipe, Plankton uses magic spells, but in the end he himself falls under the influence of his own magic.
  • In "Bucket, Sweet Bucket", Plankton encourages Squidward, Spongebob and Patrick to paint his restaurant, the Trash Bucket. As a result of the actions of this cheerful team of painters, the Garbage Bucket is destroyed, and the formula can no longer be discussed.
  • In the episode "Welcome to the Trash Can", Krabs card game loses his faithful employee Spongebob to the treacherous Plankton. Naturally, he tries to force Spongebob to cook Krabby Patties, but he flatly refuses. Then Plankton removes Spongebob's brain and transplants it into the robot, but the robot also does not want to cook anything. As a result, the villain transplants the brain back and returns the careless cook to Krabs, and even with an additional payment of $50.
  • In the episode "Krusty Krab Training Video", Plankton captures a Krabby Patty disguised as an insect, but moves too slowly and Krabs catches up to him.
  • In "The Krabby Patty Horror," Plankton forces Krabs to switch the diner to 24-hour operation and then places an order for 1 million Krabby Patties over the phone. Working for many days without sleep or rest, Spongebob goes crazy and begins to panic about the subject of his activity. He goes to a psychoanalyst, under whose guise Plankton himself disguised himself, and tries to be cured. Plankton puts Spongebob to sleep and intends to find out the recipe through hypnosis, but Spongebob wakes up rested and full of energy, his schizophrenia completely disappears.
  • In the episode "Friend or Foe?" Krabs and Plankton become friends again, the latter coming to his sworn enemy with an apology and vowing that he will never try to steal the secret formula again. As a result, as one might expect, he betrays Krabs and steals the treasured recipe. But Krabs, together with Spongebob, manages to neutralize him in time.
  • In the first full-length cartoon, “SpongeBob SquarePants (film),” Plankton steals the crown of the powerful King Neptune, as a result of which he is going to destroy the Krusty Krabs, and with him Mr. Krabs, who was blamed for the kidnapping. Spongebob and Patrick go on a journey and find the crown, but upon their return, Plankton seizes control of all the city's residents and sends them against the brave heroes. Unexpectedly for everyone, Spongebob takes up a guitar and begins to sing a powerful rock song, which completely dispels the villain's spell.
Interesting facts about Plankton
  • The official directory of the Nickelodeon TV channel says that Uncle Plankton lives in Russia.
  • In "Crabburger Horror", Sheldon used the name Peter Lankton (P. Lankton for short) when he wanted to order crabburgers anonymously.
  • Until Plankton's Army, Plankton's "wife" did not know his name.
  • In Krabby Patty Road, Plankton stole the Krabby Patty recipe, which was actually called the "Secret Formula" (as Plankton called it), and the ingredient list was just a bunch of letters.

What are Krabby Patties made of?

Do you like the cartoon about SpongeBob? Then better not read this article! ( At the very end - voting: what do you think about this?).

But if you want to know everything...

- Are you ready, children?

- Yes, captain!

Then now we will destroy the “rose dreams” of a carefree childhood.

This is the pinnacle of underwater cuisine and can only be found in Bikini Bottom's Krusty Krab. It's a Krabby Patty! And only SpongeBob knows how to cook it. True, he receives his food as ready-made semi-finished products...

For many years, people and fish have asked the question: "Where does the Krabby Patty meat come from?"

It turns out that the founder, owner, manager and general manager, Eugene H. Krabs may be keeping the formula secret for a very good reason.

Clarification from Beauty: Officially, he is not Eugene, but Eugene. That is, in Russian Eugene is Evgeniy, but everyone is used to calling him Eugene Krabs.

That's because the Krabby Patty is made from... crabs.

Mr. Krabs turns out to be a real cannibal: he eats his own kind! What you won't do for money!

Has he built his entire life on eating his relatives?

Please note that Mr. Krabs is the only crab in the cartoon. In Bikini Bottom, we only know Mr. Krabs and his mommy.

All the rest are NOT crabs!

NOT A CRAB either:

And they are NOT CRABS at all:

However, in one episode (Greedy Krabs) we meet a group of greedy crabs who really don't like to spend their money. But they're not from Bikini Bottom, so that doesn't disprove the theory that Krabs is a cannibal.

And then there are the menu items. This is amazingly accurate. Everything here is about crabs! How come we didn't see this?

Finally, the restaurant is literally shaped like a crab pot. Well, exactly!

This is already too much.

But we will never know exactly what is in the recipe, whether the theory of this origin of meat for Krabby Patty is correct, but the facts given above make us think!

What do you think?!

Is Krabs a cannibal?

Or is he still a kind, albeit greedy boss?

Alternative opinions

Many people have tried making crab cakes and beef cutlets. No matter how you try to make them, Krabby Patties still don't come out right. Perhaps the recipe calls for “beef” from sea cows?

There is an episode in the series where Plankton finally receives the secret formula and is horrified to learn the secret ingredient - and it looks like plankton.
Clarification from Beauty: About the series about Plankton. There, Krabs deliberately falsified the recipe in order to throw off Plankton, so the meat was clearly made from something else...

What do you think the meat for Krabby Patties is from?

These are crabs!

From plankton.

This is the meat of sea cows.

It's not meat at all!

I have a different opinion.

SpongeBob (SpongeBob) SquarePants

The main character of the same name animated series Sponge Bob Squapants (or SpongeBob SquarePants) is a peaceful and cheerful inhabitant of Bikini Bottom, who lives with his pet, the intelligent, meowing snail Gary, in a pineapple house. Adoration of everything he sees is the norm for SpongeBob. The world around us, his best friend Patrick, his constantly dissatisfied neighbor Squidwart and the Krusty Krab diner are seen in rosy and happy colors. SpongeBob has many friends because he always comes to the rescue of the unfortunate, he even helps Plankton, the enemy of Mr. Krabs (but not in those cases when he tries to steal the secret recipe for Krabby Patties).

Distinguished by excessive emotionality, he either cries or laughs. Cooking Krabby Patties is his favorite activity, for which he often stays late and for free at the diner where he works for Mr. Krabs, his boss. When it comes to work, SpongeBob is completely immersed in it, strictly following all the rules. He has received many awards for his excellent work, but the biggest reward for SpongeBob is seeing the happy faces of the inhabitants of Bikini Bottom who love his delicious Krabby Patties.

And she and Patrick love to catch jellyfish in the Jellyfish Fields. Together they come up with new games in which they often transform into their favorite superheroes - Sea Superman and Barnacle Boy.

SpongeBob's best friend and neighbor is Patrick the starfish. Living alone under a round stone in a hole, not working anywhere, he is terribly lazy. All of Patrick's clothes are flowered shorts, and his furniture is only made of sand. All day long Patrick can do nothing but watch TV, even SpongeBob often buys him food.

But the best playmate. Together with SpongeBob, he loves to play leapfrog and hide-and-seek, blow bubbles, and catch jellyfish. Sometimes he visits the Krusty Krab diner, where his friend works. Patrick was unable to get a job there himself. One day he wanted to get a hat, but he could do almost nothing for it.

In contrast to SpongeBob, Patrick is a terrible egoist, he thinks only of himself almost all the time, especially when it comes to toys and food, but bouts of kindness still sometimes happen to him. Patrick is not only lazy and selfish, but also stupid; the only time he could be called smart was when SpongeBob mistakenly put brain coral on Patrick's head.

Often taking on faith everything that he is told, Patrick, together with SpongeBob, out of naivety, often ends up in such risky adventures, from which it is not so easy to get out. But still, Patrick is lucky (as opposed to Squidward) and often gets away with it.

The male pet snail Gary is SpongeBob's favorite pet and best friend, who is much smarter than his owner, although you can't tell at first glance. In the episode where SpongeBob accidentally ends up in Gary's dream, we see that he has a huge library and communicates like a true intellectual. Even in reality, the newspapers Gary subscribes to serve him as more than just a bed. Gary speaks only in his snail language and meows like a cat, but SpongeBob still understands him perfectly.

Gary is a special snail. The fact that he crawls, like all other gastropods, leaving a trail of mucus behind him, does not prevent him from wearing sneakers, but when you learn about this, you cease to be surprised at the speed of his movement. In addition, anything can fit inside its sink - a gramophone, a sofa with a fireplace.

Gary doesn't really like to take part in his owner's adventures; he enjoys watching TV at home more. One day when SpongeBob forcibly dragged Gary to the park for a walk, he fell in love and committed unsuccessful attempt escape. The rally against the humiliating treatment of pets, organized by him at the exhibition, also ended in complete failure, which still did not prevent Gary from becoming the pet of the year.

Squidward(Snail)

Squidward Tenticles or "Squidward Tentacles" is an octopus that has the most bad character all over Bikini Bottom. He is unhappy and also a loser. He so wants his noisy friends and Patrick to leave him alone, but alas, this is not possible for him: not only does he work with SpongeBob at the Krusty Krab as a cashier, but his house is also located between Patrick’s block house and SpongeBob's pineapple house.

Squidward sincerely considers himself an unrecognized genius. He is interested in sculpture, music, painting (many self-portraits are hung on the walls of his house), but most of all Squidward loves his clarinet. But the inhabitants of Bikini Bottom do not see talent in him and keep sending him down to earth. Trying to stand out in every possible way, Squidward almost always fails; only when SpongeBob helps him do Squidward’s attempts succeed.
Hating his neighbors, Squidward still realizes that he would simply be bored without Patrick and SpongeBob.

This is especially noticeable in the episode where he leaves Bikini Bottom and settles in a city inhabited only by octopuses like Squidward, where he quickly realizes his mistake.

Mr. Krabs (Snail)

The boss of SpongeBob and Squidward, Krabs, is a rare miser and greedy person who has a simply pathological craving for money. He talks to coins, takes money baths, and when SpongeBob finds a coin on the street, Eugene Krabs begins to rave about easy money.

Once upon a time, Krabs stopped being a pirate and opened a diner, calling it the Krusty Krab. In it he sells, at exorbitant prices, Krabby Patties prepared according to his signature recipe. As children, together with their friend Plankton (who has now become his enemy), they invented a secret formula, from which Mr. Krabs makes money. Plankton, still using all sorts of methods, tries to steal the Krabby Patty recipe from the safe, failing each time with the help of SpongeBob.

Krabs and his daughter Pearl live in the anchor house. Mr. Krabs loves his daughter and Mrs. Krabs, although he lives separately from her. Nothing is known about Pearl's mother, but she herself is actually a whale. Often, Krabs' daughter complains about his stinginess.
Mr. Krabs' house is filled with amazing things. It also has a machine that makes soap from leftover Krabby Patties. Krabs is still reluctant to part with his old worthless things from time to time and distributes them to others, who lead everyone to new adventures.

Former friend Eugene Krabs - Plankton became his main enemy and rival after they did not share the secret formula for making Krabby Patties as children. Plankton also opened a diner called “The Garbage Bucket,” but due to the fact that he got the wrong part of the formula for the dishes, it is impossible to eat the dishes he prepared, and therefore no one goes to the diner. The evil genius of Bikini Bottom devotes his entire life to stealing the rest of the Krabby Patty recipe from Mr. Krabs.

Little green Plankton can easily hide anywhere (in one episode he even got inside SpongeBob). Appearance It also serves as an excellent disguise for him to make it easier to get into Krabs’ safe, where the treasured formula is stored, but he still always fails. Every time he is spotted by SpongeBob and Eugene Krabs, they either flush him down the toilet or slingshot him back into the “Waste Bucket.”

Plankton, desperate for a while, never ceases to hope that sooner or later he will have the whole formula. He continues to hatch plans for new attempts at theft, with his computer wife Karen helping him. Despite the fact that Plankton himself wrote the program for Karen, she is much smarter than her husband, but he will never admit this.

A real squirrel from Texas, Sandy lives under a plastic air dome near Bikini Bottom. Her home is an oak tree, and acorns are Sandy’s weakness, and the squirrel is also excellent at karate, which once helped SpongeBob meet her and make friends. Sandy was sent into the air dome by monkey sponsors for scientific research, which she spends at the bottom of the ocean, each time wearing her underwater suit.

In contrast to Plankton, Sandy is a very smart scientist, her inventions help all the inhabitants live, but in the case when SpongeBob is the guinea pig, the result is complete confusion.
Sometimes SpongeBob and Patrick come to visit Sandy under the dome, and to get to her they fill their helmets with water. Usually Sandy is very friendly, but not when she is woken up and brought out of hibernation, then the squirrel becomes very aggressive and is no longer responsible for her actions.

7 SpongeBob characters - 7 deadly sins

One of the most popular American cartoons is SpongeBob SquarePants. I honestly tried to watch several episodes, but I didn’t find anything there other than impenetrable stupidity. I categorically did not like the cartoon. However, the project has existed since 1999. I recently came across some very interesting material about how the main characters of the cartoon “SpongeBob” personify mortal sins. No more and no less! And now about this in more detail.

The first episode of the cartoon aired on July 17, 1999. The action takes place at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean, where there is a tiny town called Bikini Bottom. This is where the characters live. By the way, in 2004 it was released and full-length cartoon"SpongeBob SquarePants: The Movie." The series came to Russia in 2003. The broadcast was carried out on the TNT channel

So, about mortal sins.

Mr. Krabs represents greed. In the story, he is the greedy boss of the main character SpongeBob. Krabs saves all the time, thinks only about money and profit.

Plankton is a symbol of envy. The character is small in size, but his ego is inflated beyond measure. He constantly makes insidious plans on how to get what fate has unfairly deprived him of. In particular, the recipe for Krabby Patties.

Patrick represents laziness. He's so lazy about everything that he lives under a rock. This cartoon character does not work, but only plays and sleeps.

Sandy is a symbol of pride. This funny underwater squirrel is very proud that it is native to Texas, but can live underwater. Sandy spends almost all her time trying to become even more perfect.

Squidward symbolizes anger. Here comments, as they say, are unnecessary. There wasn't an episode where this character wasn't angry at SpongeBob and his friend Patrick.

Gary is the personification of gluttony. The little animal that lives with SpongeBob mostly sleeps and meows. However, he meows from a constant and indomitable feeling of hunger.

And finally, the main character!

SpongeBob is a symbol of lust. It is precisely this analogy that you will not notice at first glance. We associate the word “lust” with lust and sex. However, lust is also a passionate thirst for something in general. SpongeBob in the animated series is simply obsessed with a thirst for new experiences and life in all its manifestations.

If you ask any fan, without hesitation, to name the most greedy of the inhabitants seabed, 99 out of 100 chances that he will blurt out - yes, it’s Mr. Krabs! Yes, this is the Bikini Bottom resident who would win the curmudgeon competition (which he once successfully did in one of the episodes). The love of money is his main love, he considers himself successful businessman and tries to earn more and more without caring about his clients. And there are actually a lot of them - after all, Krabs’ brainchild is the well-known seafood diner “The Krusty Krab”. It is there that two more characters from the animated series work - SpongeBob and Squidward. The diner is known as a place where they try by all means to save money on visitors, while making them pay as much as possible - but visitors still go to it, because only here you can try the famous Krabby Patties, know-how from Mr. Krabs. Krabs keeps the secret of the signature preparation of this dish like the apple of his eye.

Another strange fact about Krabs's job is that he gets along great with Squidward, who obviously fills all the responsibilities that his boss assigns to him, but constantly yells and swears at SpongeBob, who loves his job and devotes his whole life to it (in breaks between games). Krabs judges the sea inhabitants around him solely by how they can affect the state of his bank account - Krabs hates those on whom he needs to spend money, being very tolerant of those who bring him profit.

Despite his miserliness, Krabs once managed to be married and even have a daughter - Kitty Pearl, a hysterical and narcissistic girl who seeks to get as much out of her stingy father as possible. more money. Pearl is a real headache for Krabs, and he is trying to save money on her too. Krabs even saves on himself - after all, being one of the main entrepreneurs of Bikini Bottom, he lives in an old abandoned anchor. As for Krabs' romantic interests, once in the series he was in love, which, however, ended quite quickly.

Krabs' special distinction is the fact that he served in navy- for three whole years, from 1976 to 1979. His army friends and stories related to this period pop up from time to time in the animated series - Krabs remembers those times with pride and it is clear that he really liked it in the army. He even managed to take part in the war that took place in the ocean.

The pedigree of Mr. Krabs is also interesting - after all, as we learn in one of the episodes, there were pirates in his family. One of them was his grandfather, which Mr. Krabs is quite proud of. Of course, he immediately finds in himself a lot of signs of a real pirate and attributes his greed to “pirate qualities,” because they, too, are constantly in search of gold.

From minor characters the animated series Mr. Krabs is one of the most characteristic and interesting. His eternal confrontation with Plankton, the owner of the Slop Bucket diner, gives the character a special flavor and interestingness. Some interesting facts about him will undoubtedly help to get to know him better:

  • Mr. Krabs's full name is Eugene Harold Krabs, and his military nickname is Steel Claw;
  • He has the only suit; Krabs has no other clothes. The only time in the series that the viewer sees him without his suit is when he loses his shell;
  • Mr. Krabs' trademarks are his pirate talk, as well as his special, rasping laugh;
  • Mr. Krabs has tried numerous times to sell his soul in exchange for unlimited financial wealth;
  • Mr. Krabs had a pet worm named Doodles, who only appeared in a few episodes. His further fate is unknown;
  • This character's date of birth is November 30, 1958.
