Paisiy Svyatogorets - successor of Cosmas
The second monk who foreshadowed the collapse of Turkey is known as Paisius of Athos. One of the most revered elders of the 20th century was born in 1924 in Faras (Türkiye). During World War II he was a radio operator, after which he went to a monastery on Mount Athos. Paisius led an ascetic life, but communicated with pilgrims, preached and shared predictions with them. He conveyed his knowledge in the six-volume “Word”. In 2015, the elder was canonized.
