Roquefort

Roquefort, Also Rocky(eng. Monterey Jack, Monty) - Australian mouse, member of the Rescue Squad. He dresses in a gray raincoat, a green sweater and wears a flight helmet on his head. Also one of his distinctive features is his large red mustache. In the Russian version of the series, Roquefort was named after the variety of cheese of the same name. Before meeting the Rescuers, Rocky lived in a chest that was in the hold of the ship, but then accidentally ended up thrown into the sea. Roquefort has a weakness for cheese - as soon as he smells it, he falls into a trance and is irresistibly drawn to it. On the other hand, perhaps thanks to this craving for cheese, Roquefort became an excellent cook, preparing food for all members of the squad; his favorite dish is cheese soup. Rocky is the strongest (physically) member of the squad. Before meeting the Rescuers, Rocky traveled a lot with his friend Zipper the fly. In his spare time, he likes to talk about his adventures. His character is gentle, but sometimes irritable. Roquefort's only fear is cats. Rocky's parents are known - his father Charlie Chader and mother Katie Camembert - the same desperate travelers as himself - appear in several episodes, playing a key role in them. The only love- French mouse Desiree de Lure, who used Rocky for criminal purposes. Roquefort was personally acquainted with the mouse pilot Gigo, who crashed his plane and died, as well as his daughter Gadget, whom he introduced to Chip and Dale and whom he treats like a daughter. Appeared in all episodes, with the exception of the episode “The Stolen Ruby” (episode 40). In the original English version he was voiced by Jim Cummings and Peter Cullen, in the Russian version by Vsevolod Abdulov and Viktor Petrov.

After the series was released in Russia, its characters became widely known, but only Gadget became an object of special interest.

Websites and communities dedicated to her personally were created, she is a nominee and winner of a number of polls public opinion. According to psychologist Anna Stepnova, Gadget's popularity is explained by the fact that she does dirty and hard work, while leaving all the laurels to ambitious men. Another side of its attractiveness lies in its endurance and at the same time fragility.

Gadget took second place in the “Sexiest Cartoon Beauty” poll conducted by “ Komsomolskaya Pravda" She was also recognized as one of the most famous mice according to MK-Boulevard.

Policemen

Chief of Police

Sergeant Spinelli

Detective of the local police department, where the Rescuers usually looked in search of suitable cases. It is also possible that Spinelli loved cheese dishes. He worked in a department supposedly involved in investigating various types of thefts and abductions. Also, the tasks of his subordinates included patrolling the city. Under his command were: Ross, Muldoon and Kirby. The names of the remaining police officers in the station are unknown. Spinelli's character is forgetful and unreasonable. His full name Jake Roxler Spinelli Voiced by Viktor Petrov in the Russian version.

Muldoon

A skinny red-haired policeman who is Kerby's partner. He is often clumsy and gets into trouble when paired with Kerby, for which he receives reprimands from Spinelli.

Kerby

A very large man, an African-American police officer, Muldoon's partner. He differs from his colleague in being more decisive, but often gets into trouble with him.

Donald Drake

The owner of the dog Plato, a detective nearing retirement age, worked in the police for 40 years, earning the respect of his colleagues. He was framed by the leader of the underworld, Klordain, in a series of episodes dedicated to the disappearance of the ruby. But thanks to the actions of rescuers, he regained his good name.

Plato

Drake's loyal bulldog. In a series of episodes dedicated to the loss of the ruby, he acted as a “consultant” for Chip and Dale, essentially initiating the unification of rescuers into a team

Fat Belly Gang

fat belly

Fatpaw is a cat that previously belonged to Aldrin Clordane, the head of organized crime in New York. After Aldrin went to jail for a long time for trying to steal the World's Gold Reserve (at this time the Rescue team was formed, foiling Klordain's plan), Fatpaw was left to his own devices. He took former base Clordane, Happy Tom canning factory. On the roof of this factory there is a huge statue of a cat, which houses the Fat Belly casino and its headquarters. Tolstopuz is an ambitious criminal with affected manners, the organizer of a gang, which also includes Wart, Mepps, Mole and Sopatka. All of them unquestioningly obey the leader, who usually only plans operations and oversees their execution. First of all, Tolstopuz is trying to get rich (obviously, income from the casino is not enough for him), since he adores luxury (“I want everything at the highest level...”). He also doesn’t mind doing some nasty things to the dogs, which he simply hates. For example, he tried to denigrate the image of the dog hero Flash, although he had no benefit from this. He also has another goal: to take revenge on the Rescuers for thwarting his plans.

Mepps

Mepps is a very skinny street cat. Judging by the torn ear and perpetually bandaged tail, Meps had a military past. He does not shine with intelligence, but does not suffer greatly from this, preferring to leave the mental work to the boss. Competes with Wart for the right to be " right hand» Fat belly. In addition, Meps looks after the casino, performing certain duties available to his brain. In the original version he is voiced by Peter Cullen, in the Russian version he is voiced by Vitaly Ovanesov

Mole

Like the rest of his accomplices, he does not shine with intelligence, and in addition, as befits a mole, he suffers from impaired vision. Serves as an object of constant ridicule from his boss and teammates. Taking advantage of Mole's naivety, his comrades often blame him for their failures. However, Mole never takes offense at them for this. And fat belly’s punishments, despite the fear-inspiring promises, are usually limited to a slap on the head or a poke with the fist. In the gang, his role is reduced to transmitting messages, Tolstopuz's personal cook, and sometimes also to the role of a loader. He cannot be called an outright villain, and sometimes he does not even understand what is actually happening, as in the case of the golden bricks. In the Russian version, voiced by Sergei Balabanov

Wart

The male lizard, the smartest in the team, sometimes even dares to be interested in the details of the owner’s next plan. And Tolstopuz, if he decides that this is necessary, condescends to explain. Unlike the others, he dresses quite well, although, of course, not as well as his owner. He is constantly fighting with Meps to be the “right hand” of Fat Belly. In the Russian version, voiced by Boris Smolkin

Sopatka

Sopatka is a male rat who apparently joined the gang later than the others, because we don't see him in several episodes about the fat cat. Including The Stolen Ruby, where the Rescue Team was formed. He usually dresses in a blue cap and a light sleeveless vest. The fat belly uses it, as a rule, as muscular power (to load something, move it, as a rickshaw, etc.). In the Russian version, he is voiced by Sergei Zhigunov.

Professor Nimnul

Norton Nimnul - mad scientist. A person who can be angry with the whole world because his invention refused to work at a presentation. These inventions could serve people if they were not intended to be destroyed. In addition, Nimnul has an irresistible craving for money (“Everything I do is about money!”) and all his efforts come down to making money with the help of his inventions. Nimnul is the second most important enemy of the Rescuers. And, despite his madness, he is no less a formidable opponent than Tolstopuz (and in one of the episodes they even acted together). During the confrontation with the Rescuers, the professor changed at least three laboratories, which were destroyed with the help of the team. But always, even in barns, he uses the latest devices and inventions. In the Russian version, voiced by Vyacheslav Bogachev and Andrey Tenetko. Norton Nimnul has two favorite pastimes - robbing banks and trying to destroy the city. To do this, he designs the most incredible devices. The Rescue team first encountered him while he was working for Klordain. Despite the fact that Nimnul's laboratory was blown up at least three times (with the help of the Rescuers), he always managed to restore it. It also remains a question why the police never became interested in the huge dome on the top of the hill outside the city. By the way, Nimnul is clearly partial to various kinds of mechanical manipulators, and uses them constantly. In addition, he always carries with him a remote control for various equipment. Professor Nimnul usually doesn't put much thought into contingency plans - apparently he doesn't even entertain the idea that his brilliant plan might fail. As a result, when something goes wrong, Nimnul starts to panic and makes stupid mistakes. It is also possible that this is why he never tries to improve his inventions or try to use them again - because these devices remind him of his previous defeats. We know that Nimnul has a nephew, Normie, which means he has at least one sibling.

). His only love is the mouse Gadget, also a member of the Rescue Squad. There is no information about family or relatives. Appears in all episodes of the animated series without exception. In the original English version, Tress MacNeille is voiced, in the Russian version - by Natalya Zashchipina.

Villains who appeared once:

Desiree de Lure

A beautiful mouse, French, puts on makeup, wears a purple dress, a gray coat, Roquefort's old love, as soon as he hears the smell, he becomes in love, the head of the gang in which Erol works, who took her in an unknown direction because he was late for church because of the craving for cheese. Fate ended up in the north near the Canadian beaver along with an expensive chair.

Lavaini

Gadget's double, looks like her, but has a disgusting character. The dream of becoming the First Queen of the Mouse Village.

Did you know that the main character of The Adventures of Tintin had a prototype? And not at all a character from a Danish comic book, on which Steven Spielberg’s film was based, but a completely real Danish scout named Palle Huld. In 1928, 15-year-old Palle circumnavigated the globe in 44 days and became famous throughout the world - and a few months later the artist Hergé began publishing a comic strip about a reporter-traveler in the press... Huld himself, who became a sought-after actor in his homeland and only a little who did not live to see the premiere of Spielberg's film about the adventures of Tintin, until the end of his life he was proud that this character was based on him. But, of course, he is far from the only one who could boast of leaving an animated “footprint” in the history of cinema. We remembered a number of famous films, the characters of which would not have existed in the form in which we know them, if not real personalities, endowing them with living and recognizable features.

Bremen Town Musicians

It is, of course, pointless to tell who the robbers in the animated musical based on the fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm are based on: the viewer probably recognized the famous Soviet actors in these comic scoundrels - Yuri Nikulin, Georgy Vitsin and Evgeny Morgunov. Of course, this did not mean the actors themselves, but their cult characters from the comedies of Leonid Gaidai - Coward, Dunce and Experienced. But how did they get into the cartoon? The fact is that the authors of the film did not want “passable” bandits, they needed bright personalities - and such people were not lying around on the road. The vocal parts of all the characters had already been recorded, images had already been invented for each (Atamansha dancing on barrels, for example, was copied from the ballerina Tamara Vishneva, the wife of the director of “Well, wait a minute!” Vyacheslav Kotenochkin, and was voiced by Oleg Anofriev “like Ranevskaya”), but It was still not possible to “grope” the robbers. The entire Soyuzmultfilm studio offered their options, but no solution was found. Already when work on the film was underway, the situation was saved by studio editor Natalya Abramova - she brought to work a photo calendar with images of dancing swindlers from “Prisoner of the Caucasus”, and everyone shouted: let's take these! It would have been difficult to disguise the fact of such borrowing (the trio was too popular), so, on the contrary, it was emphasized: Coward, Dunce and Experienced were dressed in green pants, but their hats were left the same as in “ Captive of the Caucasus" In the end, this was only a plus for the film.

Betty Boop

Prototypes of cartoon characters began to appear already in the 30s - perhaps the first to be widely famous example Betty Boop, a sexy brunette with curly hair and a high-pitched voice, became this kind of person. The beauty, modeled after the actress and singer Helen Kane, adopted many of her mannerisms, even spoke exactly like her (not to mention the fact that the character’s surname clearly hints at “ business card"Helen - the chorus-scat "Boop-up-a-doop" from the song That's My Weakness Now). Kane was not delighted with the parody and even sued the authors of the series, demanding $250,000 from them for stealing her image. However, the court did not uphold the claim, concluding that the image was not so original, so animator Max Fleischer could have taken its elements from other sources. Today, the question of originality is no longer raised: in the eyes of the audience, divorced from the context of that time. Betty looks like a completely original character, the embodiment of the American jazz era, a bold experiment for an adult audience. But it’s interesting how quickly Betty’s popularity surpassed and eclipsed the fame of Kane herself. Unfortunately, in the late 30s, self-censorship was so strong in Hollywood that the series exploiting it. female sexuality had to be closed. However, despite the fact that Helen survived her “parody” for many years, today no one questions who Betty Boop was. But who Helen Kane was, few will remember today...

WALL I

Have you ever wondered who Pixar's WALL-E looks like? Someone will say: what nonsense is this, who could he look like? He’s a robot, and not even anthropomorphic... And you take a closer look at his habits, his clumsiness, and his eyepieces, finally. Well?! That's right - those who love Woody Allen's comedies could not help but discover a funny similarity between the neurotic bespectacled man with a sad look and a robot from the future, rusting on an Earth abandoned by people, like Robinson Crusoe on a desert island. Director Andrew Stanton, pinned against the wall by journalists, confirmed this version. Although, according to him, the animators took a little bit from many famous movie robots and famous comedians of silent Hollywood (Buster Keaton, Harold Lloyd, Charlie Chaplin), still the “incorrigible romantic” Woody managed to pull the blanket over himself. And, I must admit, it turned out quite well!

Baby and Carlson

Having looked through the books of the writer Astrid Lindgren about Carlson, Swedish children usually remain in the opinion that this character is, perhaps, not very likable - both in appearance and in behavior. In his homeland, Carlson is known as a rather harmful type. He was turned into a charming pear-shaped fat man with a huge nose already in the USSR, when they filmed the cartoon “The Kid and Carlson”; at the same time, the degree of mischief in his behavior was reduced. Such Carlson did not anger anyone, if only because he was very comical. But they couldn’t find the key to his image for quite some time, although director Boris Stepantsev invited many famous Soviet actors to audition. Everything was wrong. Having gone through all the “stars”, Stepantsev complained to his friend, People's Artist Russia to Vasily Livanov, on the difficulty of finding “a handsome, moderately well-fed man in the prime of his life” (as Carlson himself described himself in the book). Livanov looked at the sketches and remarked: “This Carlson looks like Roshal.” Grigory Roshal was a famous director. Colleagues knew him as a gentle and naive good-natured man, who in reality bore little resemblance to the book prankster, so at first Stepantsev did not properly appreciate the comparison. But when Livanov began to deliver script lines, parodying Roshal’s voice, Carlson’s image magically formed. This is how audiences know him today. Roshal, despite the fears of Stepantsev and Livanov, really liked the “caricature” - as a sign of gratitude, he even sent Livanov a postcard, which he signed “Roshal, who lives on the roof.” Carlson also attracted Astrid Lindgren herself - having visited the USSR, she wanted to meet with Livanov and thank him for successfully getting into the top ten. As for Miss Bok, who appears in the sequel of the cartoon, to whom Faina Ranevskaya gave her voice, here the authors were lucky again: by copying the “housekeeper” from famous actress, they didn’t really hope that she would want to voice her - the character, no matter how you look at it, is quite unpleasant. Ranevskaya really was hostile to Hildur Bok at first (“Am I really that scary?!”), but then she changed her anger to mercy: how many voice actors can boast that their character is also similar to them physiologically? As a result, Miss Bok turned out to be a very bright woman, albeit with negative charisma. By the way, there is a conspiracy legend that Astrid Lindgren allegedly originally based her book Carlson on Hermann Goering (since during the First World War, the Nazi Reich Minister of Aviation was a pilot and flew many hours in a fighter), but this, of course, is complete nonsense.

38 parrots

Does the parrot from the cartoon “38 Parrots” based on the fairy tale by Grigory Oster remind you of anyone? So the Soviet censorship overlooked the “sedition”... But production designer Leonid Shvartsman conceived this character as a parody of Vladimir Lenin! Of course, the accents were smoothed out - at least the parrot doesn’t burr, otherwise the cartoon would never have been published (although he still has a speech impediment, stuttering on the letter “r”), but his energy, gestures and colors, made as if the parrot was dressed in a vest, and indeed give rise to funny analogies. The cartoon was released in 1976 - at that time, such “artistic twists” could still get you slapped, so Shvartsman told the story of the parrot’s origin in an interview only in 2015, on the threshold of his 94th birthday. “We filmed him with all Lenin’s habits,” the artist explained, clarifying that he was much closer to another character - a boa constrictor (which, according to sharp-eyed zoologists, only pretends to be one in the cartoon, but in fact, judging by its anatomical features, is an ordinary python). Who could it be?

Little Mermaid

The prototype for the corpulent sea witch Ursula in The Little Mermaid was Harris Glen Milstead, known under the pseudonym Divine, the notorious American actor, a singer and travesty freak who shocked the audience, in particular, with unsimulated oral sex with men and eating dog excrement in the John Waters trash comedy Pink Flamingos. You say: couldn’t a person with such a reputation leak into a Disney cartoon? He, in fact, did not take part in the creation of the film (although Divine was eager to voice Ursula himself; a heart attack ended his life a year before the film’s release). But the final image of the witch in the cartoon is beyond doubt: it is 100% Milstead, drawn in detail, there is even a mole near the mouth. Considering that portraying a woman was his creative credo (Devine’s entire filmography consists of female roles), one should not be surprised at the choice of playwright and songwriter Howard Ashman, who was a big fan of Waters’ films and insisted on precisely this “design” of the character. In addition, he proposed expanding the role of Ursula, in original fairy tale Andersen is quite insignificant, up to a full-fledged villainous part. It seems that no one lost out on this: the witch became one of the most striking and memorable villains in the history of the Disney studio. By the way, actress Alyssa Milano, from whom the little mermaid Ariel was copied, was not in the know for a long time last fact- only when she was invited to filming documentary film about the creation of “The Little Mermaid”, the girl learned that the animators saw Alyssa, then still 16 years old, in one of the early seasons of the series “Who’s the Boss?”, and decided to give her another “role”. Milano was shocked: you must admit, it’s not every day that you learn such things. Subsequently, Alyssa “confirmed her reputation” by appearing in the TV series “Charmed” in the form of a mermaid, but that’s a completely different story.

The Incredibles

Remember stylist Edna Mode, who made superhero costumes in The Incredibles? However, who doesn’t remember Edna... Another thing is that not everyone knows who inspired this character - but behind the image of a short brunette in round glasses hides Edith Head, a 35-time Oscar nominee (and an eight-time winner, which is a record among women!), unknown to the general public only for the reason that she was not an actress, but a Hollywood costume designer. Edith brought her sense of style to several hundred films, in particular, she worked a lot with Hitchcock, but she appeared on screen only once, playing herself in an episode of the TV series Columbo (1973). Maude is, without a doubt, a legendary personality, which allowed her to behave quite cheekily even in the presence of high-status Hollywood people (she, for example, could send a star on a diet instead of altering her suit): this trait of her character was successfully parodied in The Incredibles " Edith’s career stretched over several decades, and although she passed away back in 1981, the “appearance” of Maud in a Pixar film would certainly have been to the taste of the Oscar-winner - after all, it was she who is credited with the phrase “endure” that entered the annals of the “dream factory.” I can’t show modesty.”

Popeye the Sailor

Popeye the Sailor is a completely caricatured character, as many believe in real life you won't meet. But he also has a prototype! The creator of Popeye, the author of newspaper comic strips Elsie Chrysler Segar, “licked” the image of a toothless brawler and bully with a smoking pipe in his mouth from his Pole acquaintance, whom he knew in his youth spent in Illinois. This man's name was Frank Feagl - his nickname, however, was not Popeye ("Pop-Eye"), but Rocky ("Flint"). But in the surviving photographs he is the spitting image of Popeye, and in real life Figl, according to those who interacted with him, behaved accordingly, rejoicing at any opportunity to drink and fight, sometimes with several opponents at once. Frank was a local celebrity in the town, and the boys often took advantage of his temper: they teased him from afar, and then ran away because he handed out slaps without hesitation. At first the sailor appeared only as cameo character in one of Segar's comics in 1929, but readers of the New York Journal liked him so much that he returned in the next issue, and then became the main character. The cartoonist did not forget Frank, who lived quite poorly: when a few years later cartoons began to be made about Popeye, Elsie repeatedly sent Feegle checks with “royalties” (interestingly, Popeye first entered Hollywood as a “guest” in the series about Betty Boop, which also had a living prototype). Frank survived Segar by 9 years and died in 1947, being 79 years old. His tombstone is engraved with an image of Popeye and a separate line indicates the role Feigl played in the history of American animation. By the way, Popeye managed not only to be a hero of comics and cartoons, but also to appear in films: in 1980, a movie of the same name was filmed about a sailor feature film, where he was portrayed by Robin Williams.

Shrek

People liked to joke about the green-skinned ogre from the cartoon “Shrek” that he was copied from the Russian deputy Vasily Shandybin. Of course, Shandybin has nothing to do with this, but the true state of affairs is even more interesting: after all, apparently, real prototype The “good cannibal” was actually born in Russia. Maurice Tillet - French engineer, whose father built in the Urals railway, - was born near Chelyabinsk in 1903. After October Revolution The family returned to their native France, and the pretty young Maurice, who had previously had the nickname Angel, began to have health problems. The discovery of acromegaly, a disease of the pituitary gland in which bone tissue grows uncontrollably, put an end to his legal career. Having decided to find himself in another area, Tillet moved to the USA and became a successful wrestler there: with a height of 170 cm, he weighed 122 kg, and the public knew him as the French angel (thanks to the example of Maurice, the prefix “angel” became popular in wrestling of that time - many wrestlers from different countries made it an element of their pseudonym). Being a champion, the strong man was no longer embarrassed by his gorilla-like appearance and even posed for photographers for fun as a Neanderthal within the walls of the paleontological museum. Half a century after Tillet's death from a heart attack, when the cartoon Shrek had already become a favorite of children all over the world, one of former employees DreamWorks said anonymously that while working on the animated film, the studio walls were hung with photographs of famous wrestlers from unusual appearance. There was also a photo of a Chelyabinsk Frenchman with American citizenship, whom the newspapers, by the way, called “the giant of the arena.” Studio representatives have not officially confirmed this information, but for those who have seen photographs of a smiling Tillet, everything is quite obvious. The only thing that distinguishes him from the cartoon Shrek is the shape of his ears (the ogre’s straw-shaped ears were invented by the author of the book of the same name, William Steig, and the animators did not dare to deviate from this canon). Would Maurice have achieved such fame if he had become a lawyer? Of course not. Tiye’s example once again proved: you don’t have to be handsome to be remembered by people in a positive way. As for Donkey from the same cartoon, you, of course, easily recognized him as Eddie Murphy - who, in fact, voiced the funny ungulate.

Aladdin, Snow White and other Disney characters

Since we are talking about the Disney studio, for which the use of prototypes was standard practice (at least because for many decades the movements and plasticity of characters were copied by artists from actors filmed), then it is impossible in the last paragraph of our review to at least briefly note the most notable examples of such “parody”. For example, in “Aladdin” the title character was based on a young Tom Cruise (at first the artists were interested in the “Back to the Future” star Michael J. Fox, but Cruise won because he was more “sexy”). The hero was also instilled with a bit of the charisma of rapper MC Hammer, who, as you know, loved baggy pants. The Genie was obviously modeled after Robin Williams, who eventually voiced him, going quite far in his improvisations from the lines written for him. The four vultures in The Jungle Book, singing in Liverpudlian accents, are, of course, the Beatles. The group's manager got them into the cartoon "through an acquaintance," although John Lennon didn't like the parody and dissuaded the entire team from voicing the characters.
Who else can be considered a Disney prototype? The main character of “Anastasia” was based on Meg Ryan, the Queen from “Snow White” was based on Joan Crawford, Thomas in “Pocahontas” was based on Christian Bale, Peter Pan was based on Bobby Driscoll (and the Tinker Bell fairy from the same cartoon was based on actress Margaret Kerry), Snow White - from the dancer Marge Champion, the witch Maleficent - from the voice actress Eleanor Audley. Scar the lion in The Lion King is Jeremy Irons, the main character of Pocahontas is Irene Bedard, Cruella de Vil from 101 Dalmatians is actress Tallulah Bankhead, the chameleon Rango in Rango is Johnny Depp. In general, the list can be continued for a long time, since the Disney studio, at any opportunity try to give the character voiced by the star her characteristic features. Less well known are cases where producers and screenwriters become prototypes - such as, for example, who worked for main character“Beauties and Beasts” by Sherry Stoner (who, however, already quite often acted as an animation model). Helen Stanley, who became the prototype of the cartoon Cinderella, actually played a whole gallery of characters in Disney products. Even the chipmunks Chip and Dale in the TV series Chip 'n' Dale Rescue Rangers had prototypes - the first was based on Indiana Jones (that is, Harrison Ford), and the second was based on the private detective Magnum (read: Tom Selleck). However, the prototypes were not always anthropomorphic - for example, the artists met the watchdog Tramp from Lady and the Tramp on the street (even though he turned out to be, hmm, a girl), and Bambi and Faline copied from real four-month-old fawns that lived in a fence right in the studio... Of course, all of the above is only a small part of what could have escaped the attention of viewers in the twentieth century. And how many of these hidden “cameos” are still waiting to be deciphered? Today, when actors are equipped with facial and movement sensors and literally play animated characters, recognizing them in such a “disguise” has become much easier. But not that interesting either. So the audience always has a reason to review hand-drawn cartoons and look at their characters a little differently - there is someone behind many of them, and maybe you even know these wonderful people.

Informal leader of the Rescue team. Dressed in a brown felt hat and a flight jacket of the same color with fur collar. The most responsible and reasonable of the Rescue team, who considers it his duty to help anyone in trouble. IN free time enjoys reading various detective stories, in particular, works about detective Sherlock Jones (a parody of Sherlock Holmes and Indiana Jones). His only love is the mouse Gadget, also a member of the Rescue Squad. There is no information about family or relatives. Appears in all episodes of the animated series without exception. Voiced by Tress MacNeille in the original English version (English) Russian , in Russian - Natalya Zashchipina.

Dale

Roquefort

Roquefort, Also Rocky(English) Monterey Jack, Monty listen)) is an Australian mouse, a member of the Rescue Squad. He dresses in a gray raincoat, a green sweater and wears a flight helmet on his head. Also one of his distinctive features is his large red mustache. In the Russian version of the series, Roquefort was named after the type of cheese of the same name. Rocky's parents are known - his father and mother - desperate travelers like himself - appear in several episodes, playing a key role in them. The only love is the French mouse Desiree de Lure, who used Rocky for criminal purposes. In the original English version he was voiced by Jim Cummings and Peter Cullen, in the Russian version by Vsevolod Abdulov and Viktor Petrov.

screw

After the series was released in Russia, its characters became widely known, but only Gadget became an object of special interest.

Websites and communities dedicated to her personally were created, she is a nominee and winner of a number of public opinion polls. According to psychologist Anna Stepnova, Gadget's popularity is explained by the fact that she does dirty and hard work, while leaving all the laurels to ambitious men. Another side of its attractiveness lies in its endurance and at the same time fragility.

Gadget took second place in the “Sexiest Cartoon Beauty” poll conducted by Komsomolskaya Pravda. She was also recognized as one of the most famous mice according to MK-Boulevard.

Zipper

Meps

Meps is a very skinny street cat. Judging by the torn ear and perpetually bandaged tail, Meps had a military past. He does not shine with intelligence, but does not suffer greatly from this, preferring to leave the mental work to the boss. Competes with Wart for the right to be the “right hand” of Fat Belly. In addition, Meps looks after the casino, performing certain duties available to his brain. In the Russian version, voiced by Boris Klyuev

In the Russian version, voiced by Sergei Zhigunov

Professor Nimnul

Norton Nimnul is a mad scientist.

His full name is Jake Roxler Spinelli.

The animated film "Chip 'n Dale" is included in the Top 100 best animated series of all time (according to the IGN website). According to the plot of the animated film, Rocky, Gadget, Chip and Dale rush to the aid of everyone who is in trouble. The cartoon is popular even now, 30 years later. Why is the story about furry rescuers so attractive to children?

Brief plot of the animated film

The series begins with Chip and Dale getting into detective Drake's police car and chasing dangerous criminals with him. The furry little animals witness how an honest policeman is framed and undeservedly accused of stealing an expensive ruby. Chip, Dale, and Drake's faithful dog Plato undertake to lead clean water bandit Clardain and his nosy cat.

During the investigation of the crime, the chipmunks meet the mouse-inventor Gadget, the pot-bellied Australian mouse Rocky and little Zipper. A cheerful team of rescuers copes with their first detective case so successfully that they decide not to stop there and continue to help others.

Ahead of the rescue team are adventures on land and water, in the air and even in space. Despite the difficulties, the animals always maintain a positive attitude and their strong friendship. These are Chip, Dale, Zipper, Rocky and Gadget!

Chip and Dale - the main characters of the series

The cartoon rescue team always accomplishes its small feats together. However, the very name of the film suggests that the main characters of the whole action are the funny chipmunks Chip and Dale.

According to the plot of the series, Chip is the informal leader of the team. He always tries to reason sensibly, shows courage and bravery. However positive qualities Chipa sometimes becomes the subject of his excessive pride and arrogance.

In contrast to the “abstruse” and ambitious Chip, Dale is devoid of any prejudices and does not bother himself with unnecessary thoughts. Dale sometimes looks like a simpleton and a scoundrel, but his ability to think outside the box and make spontaneous decisions has helped the team out more than once.

Over time, Gadget becomes a stumbling block between friends. Chip and Dale compete with each other for the attention of a beautiful mouse. However, Gadget diplomatically ignores their advances.

Each new series about rescuers is a separate fascinating film with its own storyline and decorations. Perhaps that is why children are still interested in this cartoon.

Gadget (“Chip and Dale”): description and character

The most adorable member of the rescue team is the mouse Gadget. From episode to episode, Gadget wears a lilac mechanic's overalls and flight goggles. The young mouse is very cute, but prefers not to be distracted by romance: from morning to evening she spends time in the garage or in the workshop, designing something.

Gadget's father Gigo was once friends with the Australian mouse Rocky. Many years later, Rocky sought out Gadget in the hope of seeing Gigo, but it turned out that the old designer had died. Gadget didn't want to stay home alone, so she joined Rocky and the rescue team.

If a scandal brews between Chip, Dale, Rocky or Zipper, it is always Gadget who resolves the conflict. Chip and Dale try unsuccessfully to attract the mouse's attention. But it’s not so easy to tear Gadget away from her inventions. Often it is the mouse’s design abilities that save the lives of her friends.

Rocky

Gadget, Chip and Dale - interesting characters, but in terms of color they cannot compare with the pot-bellied mouse named Roquefort.

Rocky's main passion is not adventures, not cars or investigations, but food! More than anything else, he loves cheese. When he smells it, he becomes not himself. Often the rescuers got into trouble because, at the most inopportune moment, Rocky tried to steal and eat a piece of cheese.

The fat man is distinguished by his remarkable strength. When a fight is brewing, he easily throws even cats to the sides. He is also kind and loves to tell funny stories about his travels around the world.

Other fairy-tale cartoon characters

Not only Rocky graces the cartoon with his bright personality. Gadget, Chip and Dale as a team also work with Zipper, a nimble fly. When you need to distract enemies or sneak into narrow gap, they send him to work. Sometimes a small harmless fly becomes a source of threat: in one episode he was hypnotized by the queen bees, in another Zipper turned into a giant and destroyed the entire city. But rescuers always managed to solve these problems.

Among the antagonists, the cat Tolstopuz occupies a central place. He is cunning, greedy and envious. At the same time, he sometimes shows cowardice. Under his command are a stupid lizard, a cat Meps, a half-blind mole and a rat. Usually they carry out criminal assignments from Fat Belly.
