Three vocalists of the “golden line-up” - Victoria Petrenko, Yulia Garanina and Victoria Voronina - were moving towards unification into musical group in similar ways. Vika Petrenko and Yulia Garanina grew up in Chkalovsky, near Moscow. We became friends as children and studied in the same class. Because their rapper friends contrasted sharply with the rest of the school students, the girls became outcasts and regulars in the principal's office and teachers' room.
Later, Vika and Yulia will thank their classmates, teachers, the principal, and the street kids for the bullying and hostility: Petrenko and Garanina learned to fight and overcome obstacles. After 9th grade, the future vocalists of Propaganda went to Moscow. Vika entered the circus school, Yulia entered the medical school.

In 2012, the trio turned into a duet: Bukatar and Shevchenko remained. The Propaganda group was formed in 2001 by three teenage girls. Vika Petrenko, Vika Voronina, Yulia Gagarina came to producer Sergei Izotov and offered their songs. The composer liked the girls’ work and began collaborating with them.
After the first album, the girls had star fever, and Sergei Izotov said goodbye to two performers. Their place was taken by Katya Oleinikova, Olga Moreva and Ira Yakovleva. The girls had strong vocals, and “Propaganda” decided to abandon recitative and move on to lyrical vocals. Soon saxophonist Dasha joined the team.
In 2007, Sergei Ivanov, who previously held the position of director of the group, became the new producer of Propaganda. New producer– new rules. Only Ira Yakovleva and Vika Voronina remain in Propaganda. Maria Bukatar joins them and the girls begin performing live, without soundtracks. The updated lineup gave 12-15 concerts monthly, and free days the girls spent on vocal and choreography rehearsals.
Vika Voronina did not like such a busy schedule, and in 2010 the girl left the team. A year before this, Ira Yakovleva was replaced by Anastasia Shevchenko.
The group has won many awards: “Song of the Year”, “Major League”, “Golden Gramophone”, “Stopudovy Hit”, “Bomb of the Year”, “Silver Disc”.
The team released many hits that topped various charts for a long time. Such compositions include: “Who”, “Rain on the Roofs”, “Melomaniac”, “Nobody”, “Yay-ya”, “So be it” and others.
Today the group includes Masha Bukatar and Nastya Shevchenko. The girls delight fans with their concerts and dance compositions.
In 2011, a new song “I’m like that” was released, and at the same time a video. The video has received more than 10 million views on YouTube.

For Propaganda, 2003 can already be called a significant year. New soloists, new emotions, new songs, and the poignant album “So be it” (2003) as a result. But not the result. Vika Voronina’s warm and piercing “Propaganda” lines formed the basis for the video “Five Minutes for Love,” the first video in the group’s new role. To catch up with the emotions and experiences, the second video hit “So be it” appeared on the screen, which was destined to march on television screens for months and months. For the song “So be it” in April 2003 she received the “Stopudovy Hit” award, and a couple of months later on Channel One’s “Golden Gramophone” the hit “Rain on the Roof” attracted more and more fans to “Propaganda”. The position of “Propaganda” in the charts was strengthened by the blockbuster “Song without Words”, which opened the re-release of the successful album “So be it”, now in full version entitled “Someone is playing at love...” (2003).
In November 2003, the group shot a new video for the song “Yay-Ya”, where “Propaganda” briefly turned into the seductress Eves of the glorious disco era of the 80s. This song is quite unusual in its sound. “Propaganda” is for experiments and never stands still!
“Yay-ya” successfully won the top lines of all kinds of charts and by the end of winter 2004 it was already “competing” with another new product from “Propaganda” - “Super Baby”, the video for which was aired in the spring, which gave Vika, Ira and Olya a colossal creative charge: in April, the shooting of a new original video for the poignant ballad “Quanto Costa” took place.
The “Propaganda” group’s experiments with the “disco” style took shape in the colorful, stylish album “Super Detka” (2004), the two main songs from which have already become hits (“Yay-ya”, “Super Detka”). The new album of “Propaganda” is about a romantic, vulnerable contemporary. She sometimes cannot understand her feelings, which find her everywhere. It can be difficult to figure out what your heart wants... The author of all the songs on the album “Super Baby” is Vika Voronina.
The recording of the group's new album lasted almost a year. The new album “Poems in the Metro or Alone at Home” (2006), released according to tradition in April, is Propaganda’s new experiments with musical styles. “Propaganda” is a Russian female musical group performing pop music. It was founded in 2001. Over time, the composition and number of members of the group changed more than once until it was completely renewed. He has a dozen albums in his discography (including digital releases), a remix album “Not Children” from 2002, two official collections best songs, two mini-albums and many (about 30) singles. All copyrights belong to Propaganda producer Sergei Ivanov.
Initially, three girls sang in the group: Victoria Petrenko, Victoria Voronina and Yulia Garanina. The team adhered to a teenage style, and the lyrics contained themes of youthful personal tragedies, loneliness and misunderstanding from others. The first producer of Propaganda, Sergei Izotov, managed to achieve rotation of the song “Chalk” on the Europe Plus station, thanks to which this composition became a hit. But the real peak of fame came in 2002-2005. after a change in the composition and style of the group. Garanina and Petrenko were replaced by Ekaterina Oleynikova and Olga Moreva. The reason for the change in composition was a conflict between the performers and the management. In 2005, due to funding cuts, Propaganda began to lose its popularity. At this time, music faded into the background and the girls started making money.
In 2007, Sergei Ivanov, who previously worked as their director, became the group’s producer. Under his leadership, in 2008 the disastrous album “You are my boyfriend” was released, and in 2010 the single “You Know” was released, which did not receive the desired response on the radio, but gained commercial success as a digital release. The group began to gain popularity again. From 2011 to 2015 Maria Bukatar and Anastasia Shevchenko constantly sing in the group; in 2012, they joined short time First, a participant of the fourth “Star Factory” joins (for one month), and then (for two months).
