Papa is a kid. – How does your new album differ from previous ones? Sudden disappearance from the airwaves

Childhood and period of study Greetings to guests and regular readers of the site website. So, Kirill Tolmatsky, better known as Decl, Le Truk, Giuseppe Hard first saw the light on July 22, 1983. There are many versions of the story why Decl chose the rap style, but the most popular remains the following assumption: in early years, when the future performer, sent by his father to study in Switzerland, lived in the same room with the son of the African president of Zambia. It was then that he first heard an unusual direction of style in music, which won his heart and decided his future fate.

Creation

The future rapper’s first steps were helped by his father, producer Alexander Tolmatsky. Kirill recorded his debut track “Friday”, and after performing with him at the Adidas festival, his career began its rapid rise.

Decl - Friday (1999)

The rapper released his first album, entitled “Who? Are You,” in 2000, and in less than 6 months became incredibly popular. Kirill subsequently received an award from Record 2000 in the Debut of the Year category. Then Adidas decided to sign a contract with Decl. The young man’s success became even greater after the release of his second album, “Street Fighter,” in which the performer spoke out against representatives youth subculture- skinheads.

Decl - Letter (2001)

In 2003, he took part in the fourth season of the reality show " Last Hero", which was broadcast on Channel One. Being at the peak of his popularity, Kirill quarreled with his father, who was also a producer, and left to build his own career. In the 2004 album, the rapper presented a new stage name Le Truk. The album was also very successful, but did not repeat the achievements of the previous ones. The release had enough live instrumentals and female melodies. Such compositions as “Let’s Potabachim”, “Legalize” and “God Is” gained popular love.

Decl - Let's Potabachim (2003)

After problems with the rights to the stage name "Decl", the young man is renamed to "Decl". In 2008, the artist’s 4th album “MosVegas 2012” was released. The album did not gain much popularity due to its underground sound. Such performers as Dj Nik One, Knara, Gunmakaz, Oleg Gruz took part in the recording of the album.

Smokey Mo - Sweet Fog feat. Le Truk (2007)

The year 2010 is marked by the release of the collection “Here and Now”, which contains collaborations with such performers as D.Masta, Smokey Mo and others. Then the hero of our biography becomes frequent guest at various hip-hop events.

Kirill Tolmatsky a.k.a. Le Truk - Tired of it (2010)

In 2013 and 2014, he took part in the re-recording of tracks and videos “Party” and “Letter” for the program “”, adding a humorous component to them.

Detsl aka Le Truk - Letter (2014)

Since 2014, Tolmatsky has been releasing records from the Decillion trilogy: the first is called “Dancehall Mania” and is made in the style of reggae-dancehall; the second is the English-language hip-hop album "MXXXIII"; the third is a Russian-language album. The first two parts were released in 2014, and the final one (“Favela Funk”) was recorded after a trip to Brazil and was released in 2016.

Detsl aka Le Truk - My own song (2015)

It is worth noting the conflict between Decl and Basta, which arose in August 2016 for the reason that the festival performers, under the auspices of Gazgolder, were unable to finish their performances before the allotted time. As a result, Kirill published a number of unpleasant statements on Twitter addressed to Basta, who did not remain silent and wrote: “Decl is a shaggy schmuck.” The result of this was a trial where charges were brought against Vasily. The court ordered Vasily to pay Kirill 50 thousand rubles in compensation for moral damage. But the conflict was not resolved: the rappers continued, whenever possible, to troll each other with or without reason. In July 2018, the artist released a record called “Acoustic”. This is an album where all the old hits were collected and released in a new version. Animal Jazz, Last Tanks in Paris and DJ Worm were the ones who helped the artist give new life compositions known to all.

Detsl aka Le Truk - Favela Funk (2017)

The fall of 2018 (November) was marked by the presentation of an album called “It doesn’t matter who’s at the helm.” 11 audio tracks in which the rapper criticizes modern approach to the creation of rap music and analyzes the past years. Thanks to the fact that the performer took a responsible approach to recording the tracks, at the end he received a worthy assessment of the work done.

Personal life

The rap artist was married to Nizhny Novgorod model Yulia Kiseleva. The result of love was the son Anthony, who was born in June 2005.

Death

On the night of February 3, 2019, after a performance at the Izhevsk cafe "Posh", Decl became ill in the dressing room. The ambulance, which was immediately called, only stated death from cardiac arrest. It is known that in 2007, in an interview with the same Izhevsk publication “Fanlife”, Kirill said that he plans to fake his death when he turns 35 years old. The rapper's last post on Instagram was his personal drawing with the inscription "RIP GB", and in the caption there was an explanation: conspiracy theory collection.

Kirill Tolmatsky (Decl aka Le Truk), 30 years old, musician, singer

About the son and the mirror world

Having a child changes your life. You begin to think more about the consequences of your actions. This is the main thing. It is useless to build any programs with a child, he will still be the way he will be, I can only lay the foundation. The main thing I tell him is: “The world is a mirror, everything you do will come back to you again.” Of course, I tell Tony that decent-indecent, beautiful - not beautiful, but in general, I treat him like a brother, not a child. It seems to me that he understands many things much better than me.

About the region, the antisocial government and the “tweezers”

I chose this area because it is quite quiet, at the same time in the center, close to the Bauman Garden, Lefortovo Park, historical estates, and there are places to take a walk. I live on Kazakova Street in a small old house with one entrance. I know approximately all the residents; in Moscow the culture of communication with neighbors is not particularly developed. It seems like everyone is quiet, there’s a neighbor behind the wall cheerfully insane, periodically throws up note-notes. I don’t take an active part in the life of the house, I don’t go to house meetings, I find out about changes, one might say, after the fact. Tony will go to school here in the area. Not long ago he wanted to learn to play the drums, he brought him to music school in Tokmakov Lane, he immediately began to teach the teacher there, apparently it was too early. Life around the house is rich - there are a lot of “tweezers” and homeless people - it comes from Kurskaya. My wife was recently “plucked” by Kazakov, and the guy Slavic appearance so unnoticeably, carefully, he did everything. The fastest “pluckers” are mostly of Slavic appearance. On Kazakova there is a beautiful estate of Count Razumovsky, which has been restored many years after the fire. I am personally sure that the arson was deliberate. The Sports Committee sits there and even children are not allowed to go there. Okay, they recognize me and allow me, but others don’t! This is a closed area. Why? You can't get to the football fields either. Why? Everything is private with us - private-government. They like to isolate themselves there, close themselves and sit. It feels like the people are afraid of the government, they are afraid of the people. Maybe we just have an anti-social government?

About places and night shooting

If we talk about places nearby, in Lyalin Lane there is a cafe-store “Fley”, where I buy fresh farm products. Speaking about Moscow in general, I know a lot of people in “Probka”: the cooks, the staff, all very nice guys, they don’t bullshit. There is also a cafe “Dream” next to the House of Music, the place itself is controversial, but the food is delicious. I like “16 tons” as a concert venue, there was “Ikra”, it’s a shame that it no longer exists. If we take music content, there are now very few events where the main thing is the quality of the music. The emphasis is mainly on cheap alcohol and the same music. People come to get drunk and get high. I don't see any other motivation. There is no real club life in Moscow - there is nightlife.

About Moscow, criminal garbage and a female mayor

For the most part, people perceive the world visually, and Moscow loses in this regard compared to other cities. It is very gray, yes, there is a center with interesting mansions, everything is more or less nice, especially in the summer, but in general, everything looks a little sad. And the aggressive background in the city due to the fact that people do not receive visual pleasure. Why is there such aggression near the Moscow Ring Road and beyond the Moscow Ring Road? Because the picture is not beautiful. This is called a ghetto. When guys from American ghettos come here and enter ours, they cringe, they say: “We thought we had a ghetto, but here it’s so brutal.” In the evenings it is generally dangerous to appear in some places. Yes, even take “Red October”, you couldn’t imagine being closer to the center! There, in the dark, such characters hang out, “put on shoes,” fight, some kind of nonsense. There are a lot of tasteless advertisements around the city. I think it should be banned altogether in yards, on historical buildings. There is no need to advertise good things - word of mouth will do its job. They advertise mostly, excuse me, all sorts of crap. Now everyone is talking about bicycle paths and pedestrian zones, but Moscow is not intended for pedestrians in principle. If we take New York, for example, there are as many people walking the streets there every day as we had at the very beginning of the protest movements. And so, our people don’t really like to walk the streets. And it's not about the cars they're filled with free places on the streets. The city lacks greenery, but there was some. As a child, I lived on Leningradskoye Shosse, first in the Aeroport metro area, then Sokol, I remember what Leningradka looked like - there was an alley with trees, there were trees on Tverskaya. I had an idea, why not make a roof over Tverskaya? There you can actually build a roof up to the Kremlin, create a completely pedestrian zone, install beautiful lighting, insulate everything properly, so that in winter people find themselves in summer, where birds fly. Nobody needs this. Better put another one shopping mall or office building. And renting everything out is more expensive. We have a huge problem with housing - all people are waiting for their closest old relatives to die so that an apartment can appear. And how many empty, uninhabited houses there are. An artificial problem is created, a fictitious hype, this crazy money for square meters. I have one conspiracy theory - maybe they are up there, waiting for them to run from Europe to us? Something needs to be done about the garbage too. There are many private waste removal companies in America and Europe, the waste disposal process is well thought out, and each area is monitored by a specific company. In Moscow this is a very criminal business. And we need to talk about this serious problem and solve it somehow. But for some reason we are talking about fines for wrong parking, about the importance of replacing tiles for the tenth time. The average salary in our country is somewhere around sixty thousand rubles, a communal apartment costs from five to ten thousand, you still need to pay for travel, for food, and in the end you earned this money and spent it only on survival in this city. I consider myself a patriot, I have never thought of leaving, but for the last five years I have had a great desire to escape from here. In my opinion, the mayor should be a woman who will treat the city as her own home: paint it here, plant flowers there. I don’t take Matvienko as an example. Matriarchy, of course, is a delicate matter, but a woman has more potential. And in political games you can use feminine charm and some kind of sophistication. Or maybe, on the contrary, it’s a fight, a woman, why not? Catherine was there at one time. History shows that men listen to their women. I'll definitely listen.

About cities

I always say that you should definitely travel. This greatly develops a person in all respects. Everything is bad with our cities. Maybe this will be said for the hundredth time, but I don’t understand how it happens that in the country richest in minerals, oil and gas, with a huge territory, no one deigns to bring small cities into order! Is everything clean and beautiful in Koenigsberg just because of its proximity to Europe? Let's take Odessa - beautiful city in the past, now everything is falling apart, St. Petersburg has also been ruined. Vladivostok - most interesting city, but it makes no sense that they built this bridge, repaired the facades before the next summit, and you will climb high point- everything looks like one big factory. And so throughout Russia!

About fear and the “zombie box”

Unfortunately, we live in a time when the main driver of progress is fear. Fear of losing your job social status, say something wrong. I haven’t had a TV at home for seven years, I don’t watch Zombie Box. The information I need is on the Internet: I use Facebook, Contact, SoundCloud, and read Leper Colony. And our people smile a little.

The quarrel between the rapper has been going on for 13 years now. Kirill Tolmatsky(32), better known as (born July 22, Moscow, RSFSR, USSR), better known by his stage name, and his father, producer Alexander Tolmatsky(55). Many years ago, Kirill fell in love with a young dancer Anna and left the family, breaking off all business and personal contacts. Alexander recently told the magazine Starhit about his relationship with his son.

Of course, the first thing the journalists asked was how long ago Alexander had communicated with Kirill. “Five years ago, when my mother died,” the producer admitted. “I called him: “Come, I’ll transfer my grandmother’s apartment to you.” He appeared. We completed the paperwork, and after that he disappeared again. He didn’t even come back for the bag he forgot in my car. I had to return her through Irina, his mother. Then mutual friends told me that my son sold his grandmother’s apartment and spent the money. For what - I don’t know, this is his personal business. We didn’t see each other after that and didn’t talk on the phone.”

Correspondents also asked whether Alesandr communicates with his grandson Anatoly(9). "Unfortunately no. I saw him only once, when I was very young. Kirill suddenly had problems with his wife, he came to my office with the child, Tony was sleeping right on the table. Kirill asked for help, I helped. That's all. I have a photograph of Kirill at home, children (Alexander has an 8-year-old in his second marriage) Fedor and 5 year old Anfisa– approx. "StarHit") know that this is their brother. But I can’t explain to them why we don’t communicate. Kirill saw Fedya once when he was just born, but never saw Anfisa. Several years ago I suggested: “Come, let the children be friends,” but he does not make contact. Today I'm not so worried. I’ve been trying to make peace with him for 10 years—how long is that possible?”

In addition, Alexander shared why, in his opinion, he has never been able to make peace with his son: “Everything is mixed up here - both the burden of past glory and problems in his own family. And I wouldn’t forget about drugs: he started dabbling with weed at the age of 17. Otherwise, why would there be such nerves? He is already old enough to understand: in life it happens that men and women break up. Leaving for Anya, I did for ex-wife and Kirill everything he could. He shared his property and money. But Ira, as far as I understand, is still angry with me. Perhaps our relationship with Kirill is her doing. Although, during our infrequent meetings with her, she says, they say, you and your son should make peace... Previously, I could find out news from my son’s life on social networks. He himself added me to his friends list. And then he deleted it himself. This happened after the New Year: Anya, I and the children were on vacation in Thailand, I posted several photos. Kirill wrote some pretty nasty comments. I correctly asked not to speak like that about my family. And literally the next day he blocked me.”

We hope that in the future Kirill and Alexander will still be able to improve their relationship.

Kirill Tolmatsiky, better known to the general public as Decl, is considered the first rapper Russian show business. Today, Decl’s biography attracts not only him former fans. A bright, talented personality has faded into the shadows. Fame, millions of fans, concerts, tours - all this disappeared from Kirill’s life. What's left? What happened to the man who blew up the youth of the 90s?

Carier start

So where did that same Decl come from, whose biography is still hidden from a wide audience? We should start with the fact that Kirill was initially lucky with his parents. Father - Alexander Tolmatsky - a famous music producer, gave an excellent education to his son. Decl studied in Switzerland, and then at the prestigious Moscow school “British International”, where he received his nickname for his short stature.

Decl’s stage biography begins with a bright performance at the capital’s Adidas StreetBall Challenge festival with the composition “Friday”. The audience was delighted with the young, unconventional performer.

The resounding success gave impetus to further creativity. Almost immediately, in 2000, Kirill Tolmatsky’s first album, “Who, are you?”, was released; the incredible circulation of a million discs was completely sold out. Hits from this album were played on many music channels for a long time.

Instant popularity

This is how Decl’s biography began on Russian stage. Many critics considered it “bloated” and “bought with daddy’s money.” However, there is some truth in these words. Powerful support in the form of authors, producers, mentors, and advertising companies played their role. Decl himself, who at that time had just left school, participated in promotions Pepsi company. This made him recognizable in every family with a teenager.

Huge advertising posters with images of the young rapper were displayed on the streets of large and small cities. The artist himself later admitted that his father intensively “promoted” him at every concert and such PR “could drive you crazy.” It is not surprising that with such popularity, a second album was released, with a circulation larger than the first, after which there followed a pause that lasted for three whole years. Not only did emerging competitors begin to cross the road, but the alliance between Tolmatsky Sr. and the lyricist also disintegrated

New life

Decl’s biography took on a new twist after the artist decided to become independent. Having left his wealthy parents, Kirill turned into a “party animal”. Moscow Rastafarians, marijuana, and closed clubs appeared in his life.

As a result, “Le Truck” appeared - a new stage name, under which he was released in 2008 music album Decl. As it turned out, the public was closer to the old image. Therefore, the next album, “Here and Now,” recorded in 2010, was under the artist’s former name.

Currently, the performer is working on several projects at once. Texts are written in English. In addition to this, Decl is working on the sound, attracting Jamaican and African artists to collaborate. The previous style and manner of performance have changed noticeably. Essentially, Decl plays jazz. Now Kirill has a family. He is married and has a son, Anthony.
