Lil Wayne. Biography of Lil Wayne

It's amazing how much hip-hop is influenced by fashion. And the point here is not only the popularity of all kinds of trends and their fans, it’s a matter of love for “dislike.” Like in the old song: “I love to hate you.”

It’s no secret that the Russian folk rapper feels the greatest hatred for southern rap and all kinds of performers with the prefix “Lil”, because they are “small”. Although these hated rappers are often much more mature than their fellow haters.

What am I getting at? To the terrible enemy of all opponents of “not rap, but the southern ass-shaking”, the potential victim of all those who like to throw mud at the already “dirty” south - Lil Wayne, also known as Birdman Jr., Young Tune, Weezy F. Baby, Weezy Fuckin Baby and many more.

I advise all haters to close the page and go write on some forum (preferably not a forum site) something like “damn, what a piece of crap this Lil’ Wayne is!” and calm down, and we will begin...

On September 27, 1982, in some dirty maternity hospital, or maybe even at home, in the disgustingly criminal and incredibly hot 17th ward neighborhood of New Orleans, a baby was born, who was given the name Dwayne Michael. He was the only and completely unwanted child in an already shaky family. Obviously, the baby was the last straw for the real father of the future rap star, and the father abandoned the family when Dwayne was not yet a year old. A typical start to a story of incredible success, isn't it? What can you do, as Louis Logic said: “All those Cinderella stories are true, because it happens.”

Despite everything, a certain Reginald Carter, nicknamed Rabbit, tried to somehow raise his family throughout Dwayne’s childhood; he replaced the future rapper’s father, and at the same time gave him the presidential surname “Carter”.

Vizzy's studies were extremely bad: of course, it's hard to study and hang around on the street, in crime-ridden Orleans, with friends, listening to rap, at the same time. And then on the streets of this, dare I say it, exotic city we listened to absolutely amazing and unique performers. Here it would be worth delving a little deeper into the history of New Orleans music: that completely incompetent label “bounce”, which haters of southern rap so love to hang these days, is in fact a style of hip-hop, the roots of which are in Miami Bass Music, and the soul is forever in New Orleans. So, instead of the usual “I was influenced by Big Daddy Kane and Rakim!”, Dwayne recalls: “I was influenced by Pimp Daddy and U.N.L.V. (Uptown Niggas Livin Violent).” One can only be surprised how well Wayne was aware, because at that time neither Pimp Daddy nor U.N.L.V. were not signed to any label, although they were already underground stars (and a little later they were signed to Cash Money, but that's another story).

At 93, at the age of ten, Vizzy met an artist signed to the fledgling Cash Money Records label named Lil Slim. As often happens, he amazes him with his rap. We can only guess how a ten-year-old child could impress a grown man, but Slim promises to introduce him to the management of his own label - Brian "Baby" Williams and Ronald "Slim" Williams. This happens after six months.

FUTURE DADS

It is worth noting that the policy of the Cash Money label was radically different: they tried to take quality, to gather the best rappers of New Orleans under one flag, so they failed to immediately impress the label’s CEO. As a consolation prize, Baby leaves Dwayne her business card, saying “call me when you grow up.”

Vizzy wasted no time dialing Cash Money, after which the label head generously, ala Tyler Durden, said: “Now I see that you really want to be a rapper.” And he joined him with the second child on the label - Gangsta D aka Lil Doogie. This is how the group B.G.’z (Baby Gangstaz) appeared, which, however, lasted only a couple of months. However, they managed to release their debut promo EP "True Story" in the same year 93.

Happened to him interesting story: Lil’ Doogie rapped a lot more on this EP, due to the fact that he was older than Wayne and it just so happened that the name B.G. stuck with him, and Baby D (as Dwayne called himself at that time) was credited as a guest on several tracks when the full album "True story" was released.

At that time, Cash Money had an active beef with another New Orleans label, Big Boy (known only for the fact that Mystikal came out of their ranks). One day, Wizzy’s Mother heard her beloved only son dissing an enemy company and... forbade him to communicate with Cash Money and wear military clothing (don’t forget that the guy was only 11 years old).

But her ban did not last long... Soon Dwayne's stepfather is killed and the only close person who was nearby turned out to be Baby. “I remember how I called him and calmly said just a couple of words, something like: “Okay, yes, he died ...”, Wayne will remember much later - Baby picked me up, put me in his car, and I cried there in the back seat, I was in shock... Then he looked me in the eyes and said: “Hey, nigga, you're crying like you lost your father, what the fuck” and from that day on, Baby became my only father, and we are not each other We'll lose."

THE BEST EVER LIVING

Time passed, Lil’ Wayne, under a name more familiar to us, appeared from time to time on the albums of Cash Money artists, but there were no active projects with his participation. Everything changed when in 1997 a turning point decision was made for the label - a group was formed consisting of B.G., Juvenile, Young Turk and Lil' Wayne - Hot Boys, an all-star group, as they were called. In fact, “Hot Boys” is the name of a New Orleans gang of the first half of the twentieth century. According to legend, when they were finally caught, the city's crime rate plummeted.

The band's first album blew up Louisiana, although the fragments did not spread beyond the state's borders. It sold about 400 thousand copies, which was an incredible amount for an independent label, thanks to which the major Universal drew the attention of Cash Money Records. A contract was signed for 30 million, according to which Cash Money Records came under the wing of this giant.

During this time, Wizzy changed his style significantly. His new idol was his namesake Jay-Z, hence the peculiarities of the reading. On his albums since 2000, this kind of imitation of Jiga can be heard more clearly, which Wayne does not deny.

The next Hot Boys album broke the bank: a platinum certificate plus wild popularity, but according to the laws of the genre, the fairy tale ended in a timely manner. One by one, the band members left Cash Money, but the comparison with rats fleeing a sinking ship was inappropriate here.

This ship was kept afloat by the minor Lil' Wayne. The beginning of it solo career commemorated in 1999, when he was not yet 18 years old. Wayne's specific rapping + Mannie Fresh beats combined perfectly, the first single "The Block Is Hot" blew up as expected, and the album sold millions of copies. Wayne + Fresh then followed it up in 2000 with the gold-plated "Lights Out".

When Cash Money fell on hard times and artists began to leave, the label's CEO decided to call Vizzy's next album "500 Degreez", as a supposed sequel to Cash Money's most successful album, Juvenile "400 Degreez". As might be expected, Juve, who left the label, was offended. No joke!

In anger, he whipped up either a bootleg or a mixtape of dubious quality called “600 Degreez,” on which he presented to the world his diss track on Lil’Wayne called “A hoe.” Претензии стандартные: "Ты никого не убил, а у тебя набита слеза, я тебя не видел на районе, ты не ниггер, ты дыра", и все в таком же духе. Vizzy commented on this attack calmly: “I have no idea what the diss is, I didn’t hear it. Maybe there was something there, it doesn’t matter to me. I don’t forget my people and, if anything, I’m for any of our ex I will give my life to the team, be it B.G., my nigga Turk or the same Juve."

Of course, this surprised the hip-hop community a lot, especially those who remembered how smartly Wizzy dropped Big Boy Records, which never hurt him personally.
Moreover, on his next album, The Carter, there was a song “I Miss My Dawgs”, dedicated to the escaped Juvenile, Turk and B.G., and there were no threats in this track.

By the way, this album (“The Carter”) is interesting at least because it is the first album of an adult Wayne, his lyrics became deeper, the themes were broader... and his pride increased: in the very first single he declares “I'm cash money Makaveli, ya ain't ready... The best rapper alive since the best retired rapper (I'm Cash Money's Machiavelli... (Tupac allusion) I'm the best rapper alive since the best retired (Jay-Z allusion))" .

PRESIDENT CARTER-3

Time, as we already noted, passed, performers came and went on Cash Money, one thing remained unchanged - Lil' Wayne and Baby, who called each other relatives. Therefore, again, out of the blue the statement made by Wayne himself in 2005 that he was leaving the label where he spent more than half his life and was moving to Def Jam to the beloved Jig. True, in the end, the statement did not justify itself and Vizzy remained on Cash Money, but he himself commented: “In fact, I was really going to Jay-Z. But the situation on Cash Money changed in better side, and I stayed,” which did not exclude the possibility of leaving at all. Baby said: “Wayne was part of the label, and he will always be part of it. We are Family!".

There are many rumors that Wayne is under some influence of Baby and does everything that his “master orders” him, but authoritative publications prefer to attribute this to paranoid fiction, which means we will do the same.

And in general there is always an amazing amount of rumors swirling around Wizzy. Like when Young Jeezy left Boyz N Da Hood and the band was looking for fourth participant, everyone vied with each other to woo either Trick Daddy or Wayne there.

Despite the fact that Vizzy has a 6-year-old daughter from his own stylist, he is still a single man, but with a girl, and what a girl! Wayne's girlfriend is none other than the baddest bitch Trina from Miami. Their union was also just a rumor for a long time and in interviews they stated that they were “just friends,” but after the joint song “Don’t Trip” in an interview with Sister 2 Sister magazine, Trina admitted that they were having an affair and giggled stupidly for a long time. Later, in an interview with VIBE magazine, she said that they “are both incredibly happy and we, the readers, don’t need to know anything else.” Wizzy limited himself to the stingy “we fucking understand each other, because we are both rappers.” Just like that.

By mid-2005, B.G. and Juve finally quarreled with Lil’ Wayne, however, all that can be heard from Carter about them is a short “Fuck” in the next interview. He did not organize diss songs or any actions like G-Unot. The fuck list was eventually joined by Mannie Fresh, a former Cash Money beatmaker who, in turn, “abandoned the boat.” After his departure from the label, Vizzy was elevated to the rank of "President of Cash Money Records".

What this title gives is still a mystery, because the owners of the label are still the Williams brothers. Wayne himself, when asked what kind of position this is, answers this way: “I work more creatively. I answer thousands of questions: “Wayne, what do you think about this? Wayne, what should we do?"

His latest album, "The Carter II," sold millions of copies and received the title of "Best Cash Money album ever" from critics, and Wayne himself was named one of the best lyricists in the south.

At the moment he is up to his neck in business: in addition to new solo album"The Carter III" scheduled for 2007, Vizzy is also working on a joint album with Baby, the working title of which is "Like Father, Like Son" again emphasizing their "kinship". In addition, another one is being prepared interesting project- the album “I Can’t Feel My Face” with “diplomat” Juelz Santana, which was first conceived as a mixtape, but now apparently will be released as a full-fledged album.

In addition, there were (and continue to be) a lot of rumors about the revival of the Hot Boyz: supposedly B.G., Juvenile and Mannie Fresh are ready to record a new album, but on the condition that the hated Baby will not be on it. Wayne stands up for his “father” and refuses.

Hurricane Katrina forced the New Orleans star, along with “daddy” Baby, to move to his beloved Trinochka in Miami, and as Wizzy himself sings in the track for DJ Khaled’s album, “Until the rebuild New Orleans that's where I stay (until New Orleans is rebuilt, I will stay here in Miami)".

This is the story of a boy from the ghetto, whose mother did not allow him to swear and wear paramilitary clothing as a child... a real American dream! But this is just the beginning!

Excerpt describing Lil Wayne

“C"est un roturier, vous aurez beau dire, [This is a rogue, no matter what you say," said Prince Hippolyte.
Monsieur Pierre did not know who to answer, he looked at everyone and smiled. His smile was not like other people's, merging with a non-smile. With him, on the contrary, when a smile came, then suddenly, instantly, his serious and even somewhat gloomy face disappeared and another one appeared - childish, kind, even stupid and as if asking for forgiveness.
It became clear to the Viscount, who saw him for the first time, that this Jacobin was not at all as terrible as his words. Everyone fell silent.
- How do you want him to answer everyone all of a sudden? - said Prince Andrei. - Moreover, it is necessary in actions statesman distinguish between the actions of a private individual, a general or an emperor. It seems so to me.
“Yes, yes, of course,” Pierre picked up, delighted at the help that was coming to him.
“It’s impossible not to admit,” continued Prince Andrei, “Napoleon as a person is great on the Arcole Bridge, in the hospital in Jaffa, where he gives his hand to the plague, but... but there are other actions that are difficult to justify.”
Prince Andrei, apparently wanting to soften the awkwardness of Pierre's speech, stood up, getting ready to go and signaling to his wife.

Suddenly Prince Hippolyte stood up and, stopping everyone with hand signs and asking them to sit down, spoke:
- Ah! aujourd"hui on m"a raconte une anecdote moscovite, charmante: il faut que je vous en regale. Vous m"excusez, vicomte, il faut que je raconte en russe. Autrement on ne sentira pas le sel de l"histoire. [Today I was told a charming Moscow joke; you need to teach them. Sorry, Viscount, I will tell it in Russian, otherwise the whole point of the joke will be lost.]
And Prince Hippolyte began to speak Russian with the accent that the French speak when they have been in Russia for a year. Everyone paused: Prince Hippolyte so animatedly and urgently demanded attention to his story.
– There is one lady in Moscow, une dame. And she's very stingy. She needed to have two valets de pied [footmen] for the carriage. And very tall. It was to her liking. And she had une femme de chambre [maid], still very tall. She said…
Here Prince Hippolyte became thoughtful, apparently having difficulty thinking straight.
“She said... yes, she said: “girl (a la femme de chambre), put on the livree [livery] and come with me, behind the carriage, faire des visites.” [make visits.]
Here Prince Hippolyte snorted and laughed much earlier than his listeners, which made an unfavorable impression for the narrator. However, many, including the elderly lady and Anna Pavlovna, smiled.
- She went. Suddenly there was a strong wind. The girl lost her hat and her long hair was combed...
Here he could no longer hold on and began to laugh abruptly and through this laughter he said:
- And the whole world knew...
That's the end of the joke. Although it was not clear why he was telling it and why it had to be told in Russian, Anna Pavlovna and others appreciated the social courtesy of Prince Hippolyte, who so pleasantly ended Monsieur Pierre’s unpleasant and ungracious prank. The conversation after the anecdote disintegrated into small, insignificant talk about the future and past ball, performance, about when and where they would see each other.

Having thanked Anna Pavlovna for her charmante soiree [charming evening], the guests began to leave.
Pierre was clumsy. Fat, taller than usual, broad, with huge red hands, he, as they say, did not know how to enter a salon and even less knew how to leave it, that is, to say something especially pleasant before leaving. Besides, he was distracted. Getting up, instead of his hat, he grabbed a three-cornered hat with a general's plume and held it, tugging at the plume, until the general asked to return it. But all his absent-mindedness and inability to enter the salon and speak in it were redeemed by an expression of good nature, simplicity and modesty. Anna Pavlovna turned to him and, with Christian meekness expressing forgiveness for his outburst, nodded to him and said:
“I hope to see you again, but I also hope that you will change your opinions, my dear Monsieur Pierre,” she said.
When she told him this, he did not answer anything, he just leaned over and showed everyone his smile again, which said nothing, except this: “Opinions are opinions, and you see what a kind and nice fellow I am.” Everyone, including Anna Pavlovna, involuntarily felt it.
Prince Andrey went out into the hall and, putting his shoulders to the footman who was throwing his cloak on him, listened indifferently to the chatter of his wife with Prince Hippolyte, who also came out into the hall. Prince Hippolyte stood next to the pretty pregnant princess and stubbornly looked straight at her through his lorgnette.
“Go, Annette, you’ll catch a cold,” said the little princess, saying goodbye to Anna Pavlovna. “C"est arrete, [It’s decided],” she added quietly.
Anna Pavlovna had already managed to talk with Lisa about the matchmaking that she had started between Anatole and the little princess’s sister-in-law.
“I hope for you, dear friend,” said Anna Pavlovna, also quietly, “you will write to her and tell me, comment le pere envisagera la chose.” Au revoir, [How the father will look at the matter. Goodbye] - and she left the hall.
Prince Hippolyte approached the little princess and, tilting his face close to her, began to tell her something in a half-whisper.
Two footmen, one the princess, the other his, waiting for them to finish speaking, stood with a shawl and a riding coat and listened to their incomprehensible French conversation with such faces as if they understood what was being said, but did not want to show it. The princess, as always, spoke smiling and listened laughing.
“I’m very glad that I didn’t go to the envoy,” said Prince Ippolit: “boredom... Beautiful evening, isn't it wonderful?
“They say that the ball will be very good,” answered the princess, raising her mustache-covered sponge. - All beautiful women societies will be there.
– Not everything, because you won’t be there; not all,” said Prince Hippolyte, laughing joyfully, and, grabbing the shawl from the footman, even pushed him and began to put it on the princess.
Out of awkwardness or deliberately (no one could make out this) he did not lower his arms for a long time when the shawl was already put on, and seemed to be hugging a young woman.
She gracefully, but still smiling, pulled away, turned and looked at her husband. Prince Andrei's eyes were closed: he seemed so tired and sleepy.
- You are ready? – he asked his wife, looking around her.
Prince Hippolyte hastily put on his coat, which, in his new way, was longer than his heels, and, getting tangled in it, ran to the porch after the princess, whom the footman was lifting into the carriage.
“Princesse, au revoir, [Princess, goodbye," he shouted, tangling with his tongue as well as with his feet.
The princess, picking up her dress, sat down in the darkness of the carriage; her husband was straightening his saber; Prince Ippolit, under the pretext of serving, interfered with everyone.
“Excuse me, sir,” Prince Andrei said dryly and unpleasantly in Russian to Prince Ippolit, who was preventing him from passing.
“I’m waiting for you, Pierre,” said the same voice of Prince Andrei affectionately and tenderly.
The postilion set off, and the carriage rattled its wheels. Prince Hippolyte laughed abruptly, standing on the porch and waiting for the Viscount, whom he promised to take home.

“Eh bien, mon cher, votre petite princesse est tres bien, tres bien,” said the Viscount, getting into the carriage with Hippolyte. – Mais très bien. - He kissed the tips of his fingers. - Et tout a fait francaise. [Well, my dear, your little princess is very sweet! Very sweet and perfect Frenchwoman.]
Hippolytus snorted and laughed.
“Et savez vous que vous etes terrible avec votre petit air innocent,” continued the Viscount. – Je plains le pauvre Mariei, ce petit officier, qui se donne des airs de prince regnant.. [Do you know horrible man, despite your innocent appearance. I feel sorry for the poor husband, this officer, who pretends to be a sovereign person.]
Ippolit snorted again and said through his laughter:
– Et vous disiez, que les dames russes ne valaient pas les dames francaises. Il faut savoir s"y prendre. [And you said that Russian ladies are worse than French ones. You have to be able to take it on.]
Pierre, having arrived ahead, like a homely man, went into Prince Andrei's office and immediately, out of habit, lay down on the sofa, took the first book he came across from the shelf (it was Caesar's Notes) and began, leaning on his elbow, to read it from the middle.
-What did you do with m lle Scherer? “She’s going to be completely ill now,” said Prince Andrei, entering the office and rubbing his small, white hands.
Pierre turned his whole body so that the sofa creaked, turned his animated face to Prince Andrei, smiled and waved his hand.
- No, this abbot is very interesting, but he just doesn’t understand things that way... In my opinion, eternal peace possible, but I don’t know how to say it... But not by political balance...
Prince Andrei was apparently not interested in these abstract conversations.
- You can’t, mon cher, [my dear,] say everything you think everywhere. Well, have you finally decided to do something? Will you be a cavalry guard or a diplomat? – asked Prince Andrei after a moment of silence.
Pierre sat down on the sofa, tucking his legs under him.
– You can imagine, I still don’t know. I don't like either one.

What can you do, as Louis Logic said:

"All those Cinderella stories are true, because it happens."

Despite everything, a certain Reginald Carter, nicknamed Rabbit, tried to somehow raise his family throughout Dwayne’s childhood; he replaced the future rapper’s father, and at the same time gave him the presidential surname “Carter.”

Vizzy's studies were extremely bad: of course, it's hard to study and hang around on the street, in crime-ridden Orleans, with friends, listening to rap, at the same time. And then on the streets of this, there’s no other word for it, we listened to absolutely amazing and unique performers in this exotic city. Here it would be worth delving a little deeper into the history of New Orleans music: that completely incompetent label “bounce”, which haters of southern rap so love to hang these days, is in fact a hip-hop style whose roots are in Miami Bass Music, and whose soul is forever in New Orleans. So, instead of the usual “I was influenced by Big Daddy Kane and Rakim!”, Dwayne recalls: “I was influenced by Pimp Daddy and U.N.L.V. (Uptown Niggas Livin Violent).” One can only be surprised how well Wayne was aware, because at that time neither Pimp Daddy nor U.N.L.V. were not signed to any label, although they were already underground stars (and a little later they were signed to Cash Money, but that's another story.

New dad

At 93, at the age of ten, Vizzy met an artist signed to the fledgling Cash Money Records label named Lil Slim. As often happens, he amazes him with his rap. We can only guess how a ten-year-old child could impress a grown man, but Slim promises to introduce him to the management of his own label Brian “Baby” Williams and Ronald “Slim” Williams. This happens after six months.

It is worth noting that the policy of the Cash Money label was radically different: they tried to take quality, to gather the best rappers in New Orleans under one flag, so they failed to immediately impress the label’s CEO. As a consolation prize, Baby leaves Dwayne her business card, saying “call me when you grow up.”

Vizzy wasted no time and dialed Cash Money, after which the head of the label generously, ala Tyler Durden, said:

“Now I see that you really want to be a rapper.”

And he joined him with the second child on the label Gangsta D aka Lil Doogie. This is how the group B.G.z (Baby Gangstaz) appeared, which, however, lasted only a couple of months. However, they managed to release their debut promo EP “True Story” in the same year 93.

An interesting story happened with him: Lil Doogie rapped an order of magnitude more on this EP, due to the fact that he was older than Waynea and it just so happened that the name B.G. stuck with him, and Baby D (as Dwayne called himself at that time) was credited as a guest on several tracks when the full album “True Story” was released.

At that time, Cash Money had an active beef with another New Orleans label, Big Boy (known only for the fact that Mystikal came out of their ranks). One day, Vizzy's mother heard her beloved only son's diss at an enemy company and... forbade him to communicate with Cash Money and wear military clothing (don't forget that the guy was only 11 years old).

But her ban did not last long... Soon Dwayne's stepfather is killed, and the only person who was nearby was Baby.

“I remember I called him and calmly said just a couple of words, something like: Ok, yes, he died, Wayne will remember much later, Baby picked me up, put me in his car, and I cried there in the back seat, I was in shock... Then he looked me in the eyes and said: “Hey, nigga, you're crying like you lost your father, what the fuck”, and from that day on, Baby became my only father, and he and I We won’t lose each other.”

The best alive

Time passed, Vizzy (now under the more familiar name Lil Wayne) appeared from time to time on the albums of Cash Money artists, but there were no active projects with his participation. Everything changed when a turning point for the label was made in 1997 - a group was formed consisting of B.G., Juvenile, Young Turk and Lil Wayne Hot Boys, an all-star group, as they were called.

On his albums since 2000, this kind of imitation of Jigga can be heard more clearly, which Wayne does not deny.

The next Hot Boys album broke the bank: a platinum certificate plus wild popularity, but according to the laws of the genre, the fairy tale ended in a timely manner. One by one, the band members left Cash Money, but the comparison with rats fleeing a sinking ship was inappropriate here.

This ship was kept afloat by minor Lil Wayne. The beginning of his solo career was marked in 1999, when he was not yet 18 years old. Wayne's specific rapping + Mannie Fresh beats combined perfectly, the first single "Tha Block Is Hot" blew up as expected, and the album sold millions of copies. Then in 2000, Wayne + Fresh cemented their success with the gold-plated “Lights Out.”

When Cash Money fell on hard times and artists began to leave, the label's CEO decided to call Vizzy's next album 500 Degreez, as a supposed sequel to Cash Money Juvenile's most successful album, 400 Degreez. As might be expected, Juve, who left the label, was offended. No joke!

In anger, he whipped up either a bootleg or a mixtape of dubious quality called “600 Degreez,” on which he presented to the world his diss track on LilWayne called “A hoe.” Претензии стандартные: «Ты никого не убил, а у тебя набита слеза, я тебя не видел на районе, ты не ниггер, ты дыра», и все в таком же духе. Vizzy commented on this attack calmly:

“I have no idea what the diss is, I haven’t heard it. Maybe there was something there, it doesn't matter to me. I do not forget my own and, if anything, I will give my life for any of our former team, be it B.G., my Niger Turk or the same Juve. ”

Of course, this surprised the hip-hop community a lot, especially those who remembered how smartly Wizzy dropped Big Boy Records, which never hurt him personally.

Moreover, on his next album, Tha Carter, there was a song “I Miss My Dawgs”, dedicated to the escaped Juvenile, Turk and B.G., and there were no threats in this track.

By the way, this album (“The Carter”) is interesting at least because it is the first album of an adult Wayne, his lyrics became deeper, the themes were broader... and his pride increased: in the very first single he declares “Im cash money Makaveli , ya aint ready... The best rapper alive since the best retired rapper (I'm the Machiavelli of Cash Money... (hint of Tupac) I'm the best rapper alive since the best retired (hint of Jay-Z))".

President Carter 3

Time, as we already noted, passed, performers came and went on Cash Money, one thing remained unchanged Lil Wayne and Baby, who called each other relatives. Therefore, again, out of the blue the statement made by Wayne himself in 2005 that he was leaving the label where he spent more than half his life and was moving to Def Jam to the beloved Jigga. True, in the end, the statement did not justify itself and Vizzy remained on Cash Money, but he himself commented: “In fact, I was really going to Jay-Z. But the situation at Cash Money changed for the better, and I stayed,” which did not at all exclude the possibility of leaving. Baby said:

“Wayne was part of the label and always will be. We are Family!".

There are many rumors that Wayne is under some influence of Baby and does everything that his “master orders” him, but authoritative publications prefer to attribute this to paranoid fiction, which means you and I will do the same.

And in general, there is always an astonishing number of rumors swirling around Wizzy. For example, when Young Jeezy left Boyz N Da Hood, and the group was looking for a fourth member, everyone vying with each other to get Trick Daddy or Wayne there.

Despite the fact that Vizzy has a 6-year-old daughter from his own stylist, he is still a single man, but with a girl, and what a girl! Wayne's girlfriend is none other than da baddest bitch, Trina from Miami. Their union was also just a rumor for a long time and in interviews they stated that they were “just friends,” but after the joint song “Dont Trip” in an interview with Sister 2 Sister magazine, Trina admitted that they were having an affair and giggled stupidly for a long time. Later, in an interview with Vibe magazine, she said that they “are both incredibly happy and we, the readers, don’t need to know anything more.” Weezy limited himself to the stingy “we fucking understand each other, because we are both rappers.” Just like that.

By mid-2005, B.G. and Juve finally quarreled with Lil Wayne, however, all that can be heard about them from Carter is a short “F**k” in the next interview. He did not organize diss songs or any actions like G-Unot. The f**k list was eventually joined by Mannie Fresh, a former Cash Money beatmaker who, in turn, “abandoned the boat.” After his departure from the label, Vizzy was elevated to the rank of "President of Cash Money Records".

What this title gives is still a mystery, because the owners of the label are still the Williams brothers. Wayne himself, when asked what kind of position this is, answers:

“I work more creatively. Answering thousands of questions: Wayne, what do you think about this? Wayne, what should we do?

His penultimate album, Tha Carter II, sold a million copies and received the title of “Best Cash Money album ever” from critics, and Wayne himself was named one of the best lyricists in the south.

In 2006, he is also up to his neck in business: first, Vizzy is working on a joint album with Baby aka Birdman, the title of which “Like Father, Like Son” again emphasizes their “kinship”. In addition, another interesting project was released onto the market - the album “I Cant Feel My Face” with the “diplomat” Juelz Santana, which was first conceived as a mixtape, but was released as a full-fledged album.

Hurricane Katrina, which devastated New Orleans in 2005, forced the star, along with “daddy” Baby, to move to his beloved Trinochka in Miami, and as Vizzy himself says in one track for DJ Khaled’s album, “Until the rebuild New Orleans thats where I stay (until New Orleans is rebuilt, I will stay here in Miami).”

Tha Carter III is scheduled for release in the summer of 2008. The fate of this miserable album is amazing. During almost all of 2007, it was postponed from one date to another. Finally, the fans breathed a sigh of relief: Cash Money announced that the final release was set for the beginning of summer 2008. And then, new scandal: A few days before the premiere, the finished album was leaked onto the Internet. And it’s all because of Wayne’s “innocent” phrase in an interview with Foundation magazine: “F*ck all mixtape deejays.” The angry DJs immediately took revenge on the rapper. But this action did not suffer any serious losses in sales, and all thanks to the loyal fans who gave their idol the first million copies sold in the first week. This level has not been achieved by any rapper since 50 Cent launched his mega-successful “The Massacre” in March 2005. And sales are growing, so perhaps new records are just around the corner.

In a “thank you” video to his fans, Weezy thanked them for their hard-earned dollars, and either jokingly or seriously announced that he would soon begin work on “The Carter IV.”

This is the story of a boy from the ghetto, whose mother did not allow him to swear and wear paramilitary clothing as a child: a real American dream!

The New Orleans performer with hot “fresh” blood began his long career in the company of the Cash Money label, becoming part of the Hot Boys project - a popular supergroup of the late 90s, which in addition to him then included Juvenile, Turk and B.G., who also prepared the ground for solo projects. Juvenile and B.G. first made their solo debut in 1999 with a pair of hits, "Back That Azz Up" and "Bling Bling", respectively. Lil Wayne went solo later that year with the massive hit that gave his debut album, Tha Block Is Hot, the title.

The best rapper alive since the best retired rapper (I'm Cash Money's Machiavelli... (Tupac allusion) I'm the best rapper alive since the best retired (Jay-Z allusion))" .

PRESIDENT CARTER #3

Time, as we already noted, passed, performers came and went on Cash Money, one thing remained unchanged - Lil' Wayne and Baby, who called each other relatives. Baby said: “Wayne was part of the label and will always be. We are Family!".

There are many rumors that Wayne is under some influence of Baby and does everything that his “master orders” him, but authoritative publications prefer to attribute this to paranoid fiction, which means you and I will do the same.

Despite the fact that Vizzy has a 6-year-old daughter from his own stylist, he is still a single man, but what adds to his authority is the fact that he constantly has affairs with the most beautiful girls, and what kind! Wayne's girlfriend was once none other than da baddest bitch, Trina from Miami. Their union was also just a rumor for a long time and in interviews they stated that they were “just friends,” but after the joint song “Don’t Trip” in an interview with Sister 2 Sister magazine, Trina admitted that they were having an affair and giggled stupidly for a long time. Later, in an interview with Vibe magazine, she said that they “are both incredibly happy and we, the readers, don’t need to know anything more.” Weezy limited himself to the stingy “we fucking understand each other, because we are both rappers.” True, Eden did not last so long, and soon Lauren London, a famous model and courtesan, fell into the insidious network of Wizzy, who had already grown his now famous dreadlocks. The drug addict with the eternal glass in his hand charmed the girl so much that she instantly became pregnant. In September 2009, she gave birth to Carter's new, now third, offspring. And soon the fourth arrived, whose mother is the singer Nivea. Our hero, Dwayne Michael Carter, turned out to be such a ladies' man.

By the way, about the rapper's name. In interviews, the artist often admitted that he asks people to call him Wayne, without the “d” at the beginning. “I dropped the “d” because my father is still alive and I don’t want to be a junior. I prefer the name Wayne."

By mid-2005, B.G. and Juve finally quarreled with Lil’ Wayne, however, all that can be heard from Carter about them is a short “F**k” in the next interview.

But things become clearer when Wayne Carter is announced as president of Cash Money's new division, Young Money Records. “Finally, I have complete freedom, and nothing fucking bothers me now,” says Vizzy, grinning his serrated teeth with joy.

His 2005 album Tha Carter II sold millions of copies and received the title of "Best Cash Money album ever" from critics, and Wayne himself was named one of the best lyricists in the south.

NEW PROJECTS, NEW CONCERNS

In 2006, he is also up to his neck in business: first, Vizzy is working on a joint album with Baby aka Birdman, the title of which “Like Father, Like Son” again emphasizes their “kinship”. In addition, another interesting project has gone into development - the album “I Can’t Feel My Face” with “diplomat” Juelz Santana, which was first conceived as a mixtape, but should be released as a full-fledged album.

In addition, there were many rumors about the revival of the Hot Boyz: supposedly B.G., Juvenile and Mannie Fresh were ready to record a new album, but on the condition that the hated Baby would not be on it. Wayne seems to stand behind his stepfather. But there is no fire without smoke. The old gang seems to have crawled to the studio and are recording a new album. Release is scheduled for 2010.

The release of Tha Carter III was planned for 2008. The fate of this miserable album is amazing. During almost all of 2007, it was postponed from one date to another. Finally, the fans breathed freely: Cash Money announced that the final release was set for early summer 2008. And then, a new scandal: a few days before the premiere, the finished album was leaked to the Internet. As a result - 3X platinum and a wild success of the tour.

Vizzy considers 2009 to be the happiest and most fruitful year for the label. “We've signed a lot of new artists, from Bow Wow to brand new entertainer Drake. I don't want to know what happened between Bow Wow and Jermaine, but he's my dude now. And Drake - we found him in Canada, and believe me, he has a great future! We are currently working on several albums at once. Baby, Jay Sean and Kevin Rudolf have already launched new releases. Me and Drake are getting ready. Plus a compilation from my label. All OK."

But now, reviewing news blogs, you can disappoint Vizzy: the court sentenced the rapper to a year in prison for illegal possession of weapons. And although the release date for the seventh album has already been set - February 1, 2010 - it is possible that we will have to wait. But our hero hopes that he will do without extremes; he also needs to work in the studio.
