So far, Lady Bug and Super-Cat have not yet taken any action to stop him. This may be due to the fact that they don't have any leads as to where Hawkmoth is or who he is. However, among fans of the animated series there is a theory about the identity of Hawkmoth: he could be Gabriel Agreste. It has been shown that with the help of akumas, Hawkmoth can fake the power that kwami give (episodes "Doppelganger", "Volpina" and "Anti-Bug").
Kwami
Kwami(French kwami) - creatures with large heads and tiny bodies. Peculiar spirits that copy the appearance of animals and give magical powers to their owners. Their appearance depends on what kind of hero they transform people into. They can fly and pass through solid objects (for example, Tikki was able to get into Adrien's locker in the episode "Doppelganger", but Plagg, stuck in Chloe's bracelet, could not get out of it on his own, but was able to go through Gabriel Agreste's hiding place, in the episode " Volpina"). Kwami know what their owners are doing during transformation (Tikki reproaches Marinette for using the Good Luck Charm to prevent Adrien and Chloe from kissing, even though Tikki herself was wearing earrings at the time). In the series “Princess of Fragrances”, using Tikki as an example, it is shown that kwami can get sick, but can be treated.
There are 7 kwami in total. Each of them is tied to their own Miracle Stone. Throughout history, the guardians of the stones have been heroes who protect humanity. Two of them were more powerful than the rest - Lady Bug, who had the power to create something out of nothing, and Cat Noir, who had the power to destroy anything. According to Kwami Nurru, the power of the “Stones of Miracles” cannot be used in the name of evil, otherwise something terrible will happen.
- Tikki(French Tikki) - kwami- ladybug. Her miracle stone is ladybug earrings (now Marinette's). Outwardly, it looks like an ordinary ladybug: it has antennae, and itself is red with black spots and blue (sometimes with purple) eyes. Tikki is calm and collected, yet has a cheerful, kind personality and is a reliable kwami. Very wise, always happy to give advice. Tikki gives Marinette the “power of luck” (the ability to create anything out of nothing) and turns her into Ladybug. - Plagg(French Plagg) - black cat kwami. His miracle stone is the black cat ring (now owned by Adrien Agreste). Outwardly, he matches his hero: black with green eyes, black cat ears and tail. Plagg is very lazy, self-confident, slightly selfish, quite irresponsible, gloating and always hungry, he especially loves Camembert cheese. He often does stupid things (for example, plays with Chloe's bracelet and gets stuck in it, which subsequently leads to unpleasant events), but prefers to sleep if he is not hungry. Plagg also has a kind side, although he does not show it, and can also be serious if circumstances require it. Plagg gives Adrien the “power of failure” (the ability to destroy everything) and turns him into Cat Noir. Whenever Adrien uses Catoclysm, Plagg loses his powers and leaves the ring after 5 minutes, which turns Cat back into Adrien. In order for Plagg to gain strength again, he must eat.
- Nurru(French Nooroo) - kwami moth. His wonderstone is a butterfly brooch (now owned by Hawkmoth). Purple kwami with moth wings. The power of the moth is to give people what they desire and control them. Transforms its owner into Hawkmoth. By nature, he is quite cheerful and kind, but cannot contradict the owner of his miracle stone.

What does the appearance of kwami in the animated series mean? That's right, it means the emergence of a new super hero or super heroine.

What you see is a piece of old concept art. Initially, the story in the cartoon was supposed to revolve around a whole team of super heroes, and not just Lady Bug and Cat Noir. The debut screening of the animated series “Lady Bug and Super-Cat” took place in South Korea in September 2015. In October of the same year there was a premiere in France, and already in December the broadcast began in the USA.
Plot
The author of the animated series, Thomas Astruc, touched on the eternal theme of the struggle between good and evil. But he gave superpower not to mighty and strong superheroes, but to two ordinary teenage Parisian schoolchildren. This is a girl, Marinette Dupain-Cheng, and a boy, Adrien Agreste. Throughout the series, they transform into the superheroes Lady Bug and Cat Super. They are trying to confront the villain Hawk Moth.
The main characters Lady Bug and Cat Super are no different from other schoolchildren. They go to the same school and the same class. In addition, in real life the character Ladybug is in love with Adrian Agreste. Teens lead ordinary life. They go to classes and have fun with their peers. The cartoon character “Lady Bug” has a best friend Alya, who helps and supports Marinette in everything. And Adrian spends all his free time with his friend Nino.
But everything changes immediately when danger looms over their beloved city. Marinette and Adrian secretly transform into the superheroes Lady Bug and Cat Super and together try to resist the dark force hanging over the city.
Marinette Dupain-Cheng
In this series, one of the main characters is Lady Bug, under whose mask Marinette Dupain-Cheng is hiding. She is a kind, honest and cheerful girl who is in good standing with her classmates. She is respected and her opinion is taken into account. Her only problem is her love for her classmate Adrian. Like any girl her age, she, of course, cannot admit her love and this always makes her feel awkward in his presence. Friend Alya periodically tries to help Marinette in trying to tell Adrian about her feelings, but all to no avail.
Marinette is shy and indecisive. But at the first signs of an impending threat to people and the city as a whole, without thinking about the danger, she transforms into a fearless character - Lady Bug, and the kwami, whose name is Tikki, helps her in this. It was thanks to the choice of this tiny creature that Marinette received her superpower.
During the transformation, Marinette wears a stretchy red suit and mask, and wears ribbons of the same color in her hair. After the transformation, there is no trace left of the usual Marinette. In the image of Ladybug, Marinette becomes a brave, self-confident, fearless heroine who can cope with anything in the world.
Adrien Agreste
Another of the main characters of the animated series is Adrien Agreste. Thanks to his very handsome appearance, he is a fairly famous model in his father’s company, which produces modern fashionable clothing. Despite the fact that Adrian is a famous and successful young man who has reached certain heights in the modeling business, and despite the fact that he is from a very rich family, he is not at all arrogant. On the contrary, he is kind, decent, and behaves on equal terms with his classmates, without showing his superiority.
True, the relationship with the domineering father did not work out. Adrian, like Marinette, transforms into a superhero named Cat Super. His kwami Plagg helps him in this. Adrian, turning into Super-Cat, dresses in a black tight-fitting suit with a belt. Thanks to his green eyes, he can see at night. His equipment includes a tail, ears, gloves and boots. Super-Cat also fearlessly, without hesitation for a minute, rushes to fight evil, protecting his beloved city from dark forces. Main positive characters Ladybug and Super-Cat constantly fight with the villain Hawkmoth.
Hawkmoth
Hawkmoth is the main character of the animated series. He is a tall man with a steely gaze. His kwami Nurru helps him transform. Hawkmoth does not give up trying to take away the talismans of Super Cat and Lady Bug, skillfully using negative qualities people, such as resentment, anger and hatred. The villain gives them superpower by infecting them with akumas, and gets supervillains who obey him without complaint.
Kwami
Important and new characters in Lady Bug are kwami. These small creatures with tiny bodies and large heads help ordinary people acquire superpowers. Appearance Kwami directly depends on the character of the owner. For example, Marinette's kwami looks like a ladybug. Adrian's kwami is a black cat, but the one that belongs to Hawk Moth has taken the form of a moth.
