By the way, the resort of Lido di Jesolo does not have a train station or an airport. Which can also be included among its advantages. The resort of Lido di Jesolo is a quiet, calm and serene seaside village, maximally adapted to beach pleasures.

What else can you say about the resort? Geographically, Lido di Jesolo is divided into 5 districts: Faro, Centro Est, Centro Ovest, Pineta and Jesolo Paese.

However, for a tourist who comes to Lido di Jesolo for the first time, it is not immediately easy to make out what, for example, is so eastern in the Centro Est area, or western in its sister area, where the Tropicarium with the Sea Life Aquarium, Serpentarium and Butterfly Park is located.

Only after living for a few days in Lido di Jesolo and getting a general idea of ​​the holiday destination (which is actually not difficult), you begin to understand that the center is the place where the post office, the Pala Arrex conference center and the bus station are located. But, as we have already said, in Lido di Jesolo everything is at hand and all its attractions can be visited in one day - be it the small Cortelazzo fishing market in Pineta, or the best rental points in the resort for marine entertainment - in the Faro area ", or the only free beach in the entire Lido di Jesolo - in Paese.

By the way, about a beach holiday. Lido di Jesolo is a real European seaside resort, colorful and noisy in Italian style, especially during the peak summer season. After all, as we have already said, people really like to come here on vacation with children.

The high beach season in Lido di Jesolo begins at the end of May and closes at the end of September. So, no matter what summer month you choose to relax at this resort - June, July or August - sunny and comfortable (not sultry) weather awaits you in Lido di Jesolo. The average air temperature in summer at the resort is +30 °C, water temperature is +24-26 °C.

And, of course, Lido di Jesolo is a modern seaside resort. Here you can not only lie all day in the sun like a walrus or imposingly take sea baths. The resort has all the conditions for active recreation on the water. On the beaches of Lido di Jesolo you can play tennis, football, beach volleyball, water skiing, banana boat and catamaran sailing, windsurfing and scuba diving. Would you like to rent a jet ski or aquabike - please! If you dare to parachute above the resort and the sea, parasailing is at your service! Jump on a trampoline all day long, go down inflatable slides, splash in pools with sea or fresh water, and learn new techniques for controlling a board, kayak or yacht. Just don’t forget about basic safety precautions and the rules of behavior on the water!

And most importantly, do not forget to take your children with you on vacation in Lido di Jesolo (if you have them, of course). The beaches and water attractions here at the resort are a real paradise for children and their parents - safe, comfortable and varied. Most of the beach areas of Lido di Jesolo, as we have already reported, belong to the resort hotels located here - they are guarded, well equipped and have rescue services. But, in addition, for fans of water attractions in the resort of Lido di Jesolo there is the Aqualandia water park, famous along the entire coast.

Maybe you will say what a unique water park - every resort has something like this. But don’t rush to conclusions until you arrive in Lido di Jesolo. The local water park is a theme park that represents a real Caribbean island.

Aqualandia water park has been voted the best in Italy ten times! On its territory of 88,000 square meters there are areas for both calm children's recreation and extreme ones. There is also a children's town called Funny Land and beaches for adult family members with anthracite white sand - Shark Bay.

These are authentic Caribbean beaches located inside a theme park divided into eight zones with 26 water attractions. At Aqualandia, adrenaline will literally boil in your blood! The water park has a virtual reality slide for the first time, and only here the tallest Spacemaker and bungee tower in Europe operate!

Sports enthusiasts will find two beach volleyball courts, a gym and an Adventure Golf miniature golf course at Aqualandia. And young people will be able to have a blast at the most glamorous discotheque in Jesolo, Vanilla!

The main thing is, do not rush to leave all your money in the water park. Still, this is a paid pleasure, although the minimum ticket price does not exceed 27-30 euros. Leave some for the excursion. After all, although Lido di Jesolo is not one of the art cities of Italy, it is very convenient to take 1-2 excursions to Venice or Padua during even a short vacation.

This article will focus on the small but cozy town of Lido di Jesolo, Italy. I will tell you where it is and what you can do here, about the beaches and infrastructure, I will write about interesting places, attractions and the time of visiting them.

Italy is a wonderful country for a beach holiday in the summer. Lido di Jesolo is a young European resort that has a huge coastline. During the season it is noisy and crowded. A large selection of housing for people of different incomes, convenient transport links. Everything in the city is done for the comfort of tourists. Sandy beaches and shallow sea attract families with children. Nightclubs and discos attract young people.

Lido di Jesolo is located at the base of the sand spit that separates the Venetian Lagoon from the Adriatic Sea. As in any resort place, the main streets stretch along the coast. The central street is considered the longest not only in Russia, but also in Europe, its length is approximately 15 km.

The city is divided into several districts.

In the western area, Lido West-Faro, there is a water park and a tourist port. Lots of nightclubs and discos. Very dense buildings. The area is best chosen by lovers of active recreation.

The eastern area, Pineta, is less noisy. It is surrounded by greenery. However, there is practically no entertainment here, few shops and cafes. Suitable for tourists looking for peace and quiet.

The central district, Centre, is the golden mean. Here are the hotels different levels, many shops and cafes. All entertainment is nearby.

Language and currency

Local residents speak Italian. However, many tourism workers speak English and French. In some cafes, the staff communicates well in Russian.

As in all of Italy, the euro is in circulation. There are many ATMs, but it is not profitable to change rubles.

Beach holiday

Magnificent beaches with golden sand stretch along the entire city. Almost every hotel has its own section of the beach, where there are sun loungers and umbrellas. Closer to the water, you can sit on towels. The entrance to the sea is smooth, very convenient for children.

During the season, you can rent sports equipment, there are water activities, and there are towers with lifeguards.

Climate and season

The resort of Lido di Jesolo has a subtropical Mediterranean climate. The Alps protect the city from northern and western winds. There are almost no storms at sea. The air temperature in winter rarely drops below +6 degrees. In summer +25 - +28 degrees, a lot sunny days. The water temperature in the season is +24 - +27 degrees.

The most favorable time to visit the resort is from May to September. However, it must be taken into account that the water in May will still be cool, and rain is possible in September.

Transport

Nearest international airports:

• Treviso Antonio Canova – 45 km. (www.trevisoairport.it).

The most popular transport in the city is buses. The bus station is located in the center, next to Piazza Drago.

The schedule is posted at every stop. Tickets can be bought at the bus station and in tobacco shops. The cost one way in the city is 1.5 euros.

Combination bus + boat tickets are sold to Venice. The cost of a round trip ticket is 19.50 euros. Valid for 24 hours.

As in any other city in Italy, you can rent a car.

During the season, after eight o'clock in the evening, traffic on the main street of the resort of Lido di Jesolo is blocked, it turns into a large pedestrian area. There are many shops and restaurants here. Concerts are often held in the squares. In the evening it is crowded, there is entertainment for every taste and budget.

Attractions

• Archaeological zone "Antike Mura" There are ruins of the cathedral and churches from the 4th-7th centuries.
• Tower of Mists “Torre Coligo” Erected in the mid-11th century to protect trade routes.
• The oldest church in Jesolo is St. Maria di Assunta.

The resort of Lido di Jesolo is well located, it is convenient to visit attractions not only local, but also of neighboring cities in Italy.

• In August, holidays must be booked in advance. This is the favorite month of Italian tourists. Hotels are usually one hundred percent occupied.
• Don't forget about the famous siesta of Italy. From 12.30 to 16.00 many shops and cafes are closed.
• To travel to Venice, it is more profitable to buy a single ticket for a bus and a boat, valid for one day.
• In cafes it is customary to leave a tip of 10 percent.
• When purchasing, if you have signed up for tax free, the goods cannot be returned.
• Do not buy things on the beach from merchants, the fine is very high.
