There is also ancient legend about nomads trying to conquer the Crimean lands, but the mountain itself punished them for their disrespectful attitude towards the locals, turning them into stone sculptures. It was here that the Caucasian captive from the famous film of the same name sang her song while dancing on one of the stones. You can get here from Alushta by bus, going to Luchistoye, and then on foot to Mount Demerdzhi along an asphalt road, total time the journey takes about an hour and a half.

Not the highest, but very picturesque mountain, rising above Yalta with majestic steep cliffs. The peak of Ai-Petri is part of the mountain range of the same name. The cable car takes tourists to the top of the mountain, but it’s better to go down along the incredibly beautiful Taraktash trail, leading straight to Yalta.

Initially, this place was the estate of Prince Golitsyn and the factory he opened for the production of delicious champagne. The plant operates to this day, and in one of the prince’s castles there is a museum of the history of champagne wines. The nature of the village is simply enchanting, it feels as if you are on another planet. This is due to the piercing emerald green of the sea and the bizarre shapes of the rocks of amazing colors. Sea water it is considered one of the cleanest on the planet. Thanks to the endemic species and relict groves growing on the mountains, the area received the status of a state botanical reserve. You can admire its beauty by walking along the Golitsyn trail, starting from the village. This place can be considered one of the most beautiful places in Crimea. Karadag Reserve
Another alien place is located in the southeast of the peninsula - the Karadag Nature Reserve, a walk through which is allowed only when accompanied by employees along a specially created eco-trail. This is a measure to protect a unique place, most of whose flora and fauna are listed in the Red Book. The tour lasts about 4 hours and goes through some pretty steep mountains, but it's worth it. This most powerful Crimean waterfall is located on the territory of the Khapkhalsky reserve. Streams of water fall from a height of 15 meters, which do not decrease even in drought, so it received a name that translates as “eternally babbling.” Swimming in it is dangerous, as stones fall along with the water; it is better to enjoy the beauty of it and the surrounding nature. Cape Chameleon
Not far from Koktebl you can see a real miracle - a cape that radically changes its color depending on the weather and time of day. This a natural phenomenon can be observed all year round, and is explained by the fact that the cape consists of clay shales, which reflect light differently. Unfortunately, its clay components are very susceptible to bad weather; over time, the cape becomes narrower. It is also noteworthy that it separates two bays, the water in which different color, from above the spectacle is simply amazing. The bay is the main decoration and a unique symbol of the small resort town of Balaklava.
