Biography

After graduating from school, he enters a pharmaceutical school with a specialty as a pharmacist. However, he does not work for long in his profession, getting tired of the monotony. Grigory was looking for himself in various directions: completed accounting courses and preparatory courses for law school, for a short time managed to work in an advertising agency, as a social worker, as a manager, and as a maker of fax copies (copies museum exhibits) on Mosfilm: “It was an incredibly interesting period, I earned pennies, literally saved on food,” Grigory says about this period of his life. But he quickly realized that all this was not his: “I believe that every person should look for himself, as they say, to the last. It’s better to look for yourself and not find it than to settle on something mediocre and, as a result, not get any pleasure from life and work.”

Even in his youth he studied at theater studio“Candle” at the Savyolovsky District Palace of Culture, but did not seriously think about the acting profession until, at the age of 22, fate brought Grigory to “Satyricon”, where he worked for 2 years as a stage assembler. Having watched many performances and having seen theater kitchen from within, Gregory gradually came to the idea that he needed to look for himself in a creative environment. In parallel with this work, he began to study in preparatory group at the Moscow Art Theater School, trying his hand as an actor. And in 1999 he entered the Shchukin School, the workshop of Rodion Ovchinnikov. Already in his fourth year, Antipenko made his film debut, starring in an episode of the series “Code of Honor”, and for some time played in the “Cool Theater”, the Mayakovsky Theater. After graduating from college in 2003, he was accepted into the troupe of the “Et cetera” theater, where he was involved in the plays: “Parisian Romance”, “Secrets of Aunt Melkin”. For his roles in the play “Parisian Romance” at the Et Cetera theater in 2004, Antipenko was nominated for the annual theater award"Moscow debuts". Participated in the performances: “ Beautiful people“,” “Fasicky Horses,” “The Old Son with Enormous Wings,” “Don Quixote of La Mancha.”

At the same time, Gregory began to successfully act in films. Despite the fact that his hero Platon Amelin in the series “Talisman of Love” is a negative character, the actor has the first fans of his work. But general fame comes during the filming of the series “Don’t Be Born Beautiful,” where he plays the president of the Zimaletto fashion house, Andrei Zhdanov. Grigory and his hero have nothing in common, however, he played his role simply brilliantly, having studied and worked through all aspects of his character. As the actor says, this role became a real school of skill for him: “I had to understand my character, understand a person who has no problems. That’s why it was interesting for me to ‘make’ this hero.” In 2006, for the role of Andrei Zhdanov, Grigory was awarded the Ukrainian People's Award "TV Star" as the best television actor of the year.

After completing the filming of “Don’t Be Born Beautiful,” Antipenko begins to actively act in films: in the ironic detective story “The Man Without a Gun,” in the comedy “Luna-Odessa,” in the historical film “Conspiracy,” in the melodrama “Razluchnitsa,” in the drama “This Evening the Angels Cried.” ", for which at the Sergei Gerasimov festival "Loving a Person" in Chelyabinsk, Grigory was awarded the prize for "Best Actor".

In addition to filming films, Gregory plays Professor Higgins in the enterprise play “Pygmalion” directed by. P. Safonova by work of the same name B. Shaw. For its bold creative experiment, the performance was awarded a special prize by the jury of the Amur Autumn festival in Blagoveshchensk in 2007. He also took part in the performances “The Result is Obvious”, dir. Zhitinkin and the play “Orpheus and Eurydice”, dir. P. Safonov.

In 2012, Antipenko became a student at the Higher Courses for Screenwriters and Directors.

In the summer of 2013 Antipenko was enrolled in the theater troupe.  Vakhtangov.

Performances with the participation of Grigory Antipenko have repeatedly received the international theater audience award “Theatrical Star”. In 2012, the play “Odessa 913”, directed by. R. Yu. Ovchinnikov. In 2013, the play “Two on a Swing”, dir. A. A. Kiryushchenko. In 2014 in the category “Best musical performance" - "Othello", director and choreographer A. Kholina.

Plays investigator Alexei Polyakov. A friend of the tragically deceased husband of the main character, he is the only one who has not turned his back on the desperate woman, the only one who believes that she is right and helps in the search for the missing child. In general, a real knight, noble, caring, fearless. Antipenko has outplayed a great many such “gift” men, and therefore treats his hero with a grain of irony. We were able to talk to the actor right on the set. While the make-up artists worked their magic on Gregory’s hair, curling unruly locks and styling, he talked about new role, about complexes, creative searches, discoveries and diamond chairs.

    - Gregory, you have the main role in this project. Interesting to play?

I can’t say that this is a central role. The main action is main character, played by Olya Budina. I try to help her in every possible way - where male intervention is needed. Shout at someone, press someone lightly. But yes, to a small extent. The role does not imply any serious creative discoveries - that’s how the script is written. But it normal.

    - Were you in Lately works that became a discovery?

Mostly theatrical. The play “The Result is Obvious”, for example. The rehearsals were difficult, but it was a creative search that resulted in a completely new paint for me, which I had not used before. This allows me to feel that I am not a one-dimensional actor and have not yet hit the ceiling. And quite a lot of people spoke well about the performance, which means something worked out, and that’s nice. And everything else is work.

    - So, for the most part, work and pleasure are incompatible things for you?

Hard to tell. Work is good in any case. It's worse when she's not there. Therefore it is a sin to complain. I have now become softer in my assessment of what is happening... Apparently, I have aged and have begun to react calmer to everything. Specifically on this project interesting scenario, and the team is good. And I am grateful to the people that every day they help me not to perceive work as some kind of hard labor and make up my daily routine - in general, not bad.

And yet it seems that you are not very happy with yourself, with the roles that are offered to you... But at the same time you do not refuse them.

Unfortunately, sometimes I have to make some compromises. I have a family and I need to feed it. Directors see me in certain images - I am partly a hostage to previously played roles, texture. In a situation where I deliberately lower the bar and agree to a low-quality script and a not very interesting role, I naturally try to do something new. Sometimes it works.

By the way, about family. "Mother's Heart" in Once again asserts inviolability family values. Are you a good father yourself? Or is it still “so-so”, as they admitted in one interview?

Maybe I would good father, if I had a different profession and I was a different person. It's hard for me to stay at home, in one place. I can not. A day or two at most, and I’m undermined, I have to fly somewhere, do something, otherwise I turn into an amoeba and stop loving and respecting myself. Some kind of motor inside is working, some kind of clock is ticking, constantly reminding us that the period when we need to act, hurry somewhere, save someone, search for our own soul, etc. has not yet passed... Therefore, my children probably won’t There is enough fatherly attention, but they have no choice - this is the folder they got. My father also went on business trips a lot in his time, although he still paid more attention to us. True, times were calmer then, there was stability. Saturdays and Sundays were always reserved for us. And now I can’t boast about it. God willing, I’ll meet my eldest son once every two weeks, but I took my little children to Montenegro, and it’s generally unknown when I’ll see them next. If it works out, I’ll break out for a day or two. This is life, this is normal. Although I always want it to be different.

I heard that in terms of this eternal search, you compare yourself with Ostap Bender. Do you think the day is near when you find your diamond chair?

Yes, Bender is my absolute inner ego, it lives in me completely organically. I am a person in search - a constant, unhealthy, anxious search. And I think that's right. At least for me. There are different chairs. Sometimes they are Viennese, sometimes there are stools, and sometimes they are from the Gambs set. But I am actually convinced that it is better not to find that very diamond chair, but to believe that it is somewhere. Whatever happens, as with Ostap, who found a chair and realized: there is nothing more to look for, the goal has been achieved. Or find it, but then the next one should be some kind of mega-diamond, platinum, but so that new aspirations will definitely appear and there will be no stops.

You once said that there is nothing worse than a person with complexes. The conclusion suggests itself that you yourself must be the “lucky” owner of a whole set of complexes...

I guess I have quite a lot of them. There is a theory that intelligence is to some extent complex, and this is true. We are embarrassed to offend, cause inconvenience, or be unnecessary. Such complexes make a person more sensitive to others, to what is happening around. I find these complexes useful. All the others that interfere with life and self-fulfillment are certainly harmful. I have enough of both of these. I try to get rid of harmful ones. And the useful ones live with me. And I’m not looking for another degree of uncomplexity. Although many people consider me too shy or too polite. They say: “Grisha, be simpler.” But I won’t anymore, I’m 35 - it’s too late to change. What it is is what it is.

You call yourself a depressed person, say that many times you had to start life with clean slate. How often do mental storms happen? Have you ever wanted to “reset to zero” again?

Yes it was. I have recently had very severe depression, again related to my profession. I couldn’t act, I didn’t want to... Everything that comes out is far from what was expected. But, unfortunately, this is reality. Then you must either leave the profession, or try to break through, do something in the circumstances that exist. It turns out that one or two scenes for the entire project is already a victory. But it doesn’t work out... God willing, the next one will work out. In any case, the profession does not tolerate downtime, waiting, or subsidence. This is constant action, a movement of the soul. Well, and, of course, systematic training, otherwise everything is lost... In general, I’m not that depressed. It’s just that there is not enough space for creativity, and in accordance with the assigned tasks and available opportunities, you have to resort to an already used palette. So what to do?

You are incredibly popular. The presence of five unofficial sites, first places in the rankings Russian actors, crowds of fans - here it’s time for star fever to appear, and not vice versa. How do your critical attitude towards yourself and your success with the audience coexist?

I am adequate - this is my misfortune and my happiness. I perceive everything very adequately. It’s not entirely correct, maybe I evaluate myself in my works - I don’t like much, to be honest. There has not yet been a single work that I would like to hang in a frame on the wall and be proud of. Only some individual scenes. This is probably why I have a very nervous nature in this sense. I think about it all the time. How to do it better, which direction to move, how to hone your skills? Therefore, I am very grateful to my fans who keep me in the ratings, but I treat this with slight irony. Thank God if people like it. Sometimes it’s completely depressing: you look at some movie and you think: damn, what’s wrong - there’s no way to get out of this... And they call me and say that they liked it, and at that moment I’m in some kind of stupor and can’t I understand how to perceive. Like this? Maybe I’m really too self-critical in my assessment... Or are they so great audience choice, advances on account of some past achievements? Mystery. In any case, I don’t have any laurel wreaths on my head yet, I don’t think that I’ve reached serious milestones, that I’ve reached somewhere and stopped, and then just follow the flow... A chair is definitely in the future - just in time for the question of Ostap .

    Lyudmila Khlobystova, RUTV.ru

Andrei Zhdanov is the character of Grigory Antipenko from the series “Don’t Be Born Beautiful”, according to the actor, his complete opposite. The actor does not like to play himself in films, preferring to reveal his true self only to close people. In an interview with the portal starstory.ru, Grigory spoke about friendship, the female ideal and how easy it is to be a leader in the creative profession.

“In general, Andrei is a person diametrically opposed to me in spirit, in lifestyle and, in general, in everything,” says Grigory

Grigory, why usually, when a journalist goes to an interview with an actor, does he think that he is about to be deceived? During interviews, do actors successfully get into character, like in a movie, or do they remain themselves?

I find it difficult to talk about everyone. Personally, it’s easier for me to live in the truth; otherwise it’s simply not interesting. But I have “wonderful friends” who have perfected this skill so much that they themselves get lost in communicating with the press (smiles).

Is there such a thing as friendship at work, on the set?

Friendship is a very high concept for me. And the work is so short-term that it is not enough to get to know the person you met during filming. I have good friends who could be friends, but I don’t have any friends here.

During filming, various incidents happen to artists all the time... Can you brag about this?

I can't remember any brighter than my birthday. I was pranked main director Alexander Nazarov. He caused a huge scandal on the set; filming was on the verge of breakdown. Everyone was called to the set: make-up artists, costume designers, screenwriters. I thought this was another nervous breakdown of the director. He sat quietly on the side, waiting for the end. At some point, the lights turned on, solemn music from “The Talisman of Love” began to play, and a cake with candles was brought out. And only at that moment I realized that this was a joke. I was very pleased.

“Ordinary professions do not interest me”

It must be difficult for an actor to be a leader. The profession is dependent, based on the suppression of pride. Don't you agree with this?

In general, I am a leader by nature. And, let me, I don’t agree with you. Our profession is definitely a leadership one, it requires aspiration. If a person begins to sag, then all this begins to manifest itself in work. I am a very independent person and I only compromise with the people I work with if they have managed to convince me that they are right. Otherwise, I don’t let anyone down and behave as I see fit.

Are you saying that you are a completely uncompromising person?

I used to be a very compromising person, even too soft-hearted. And they took advantage of it. This is bad, in principle. Each person should have his own core, his own positions. Now I have a rather tough position. I am a very categorical person.

Is there a role you would never agree to play?

I don't really like roles with sexual perversions. If this comedy genre, then it’s still possible. But play dramatic role Most likely, he would refuse a homosexual even for a large fee. This is not for me, I am a natural person by nature.

Do you remember your very first fee?

It was an advertisement for Megafon. There were absolutely no words. A certain couple in love - I was the groom. Wordless happy story. True, I no longer remember how much they paid me. But, in fact, it's not that important. I came to this profession not because of money, but, first of all, because acting I like it as a profession.

Now many actors have begun to receive a second reserve profession. Some go into producers, others into business... Have you thought about getting a second higher education?

I haven’t played enough yet (smiles). I don’t have the feeling that it is necessary to get something somewhere, to look for some reserves. It is possible that later I will try myself as a director. In any case, I think it will be related to theater and cinema. Ordinary professions do not interest me. I tried them quite a lot before I got into acting. I tried to get to know all the professions, to know them, to touch them with my hands. I could return to any of them, the other thing is that I don’t want to do this. I'm sure this will never happen. The main thing is to move forward all the time, to do only what I haven’t tried yet. I believe that you cannot step into the same river twice.

There is a rumor among you that the acting profession is unthinkable without doping. How do you think?

In general, I have a very bad attitude towards any doping. We were brought up in the Shchukin school in such a way that it was unnatural, abnormal, and wrong. A person who cannot go on the court without doping is not a professional. In my life I don’t drink, or I do it extremely rarely, and I don’t smoke. That's how I was raised.

How do you behave when fans recognize you on the street? Do you communicate with them?

I try to avoid such meetings on the street, I am extremely closed person. I never gravitated towards casual acquaintances. Moreover, if the initiative comes from the other side and it’s a girl, it even repels me. I try to avoid such acquaintances.

“I don’t like it when people behave too violently and arrogantly”

Many men are afraid of the “together” state, some are afraid to get married. Have you ever been afraid?

In general, marriage is a very serious step. I was already married. All this was quite chaotic and wrong, across my consciousness. I made this mistake when I was young, but I never regret anything in this life. All this happened, this is my life.

What conclusions did you draw for yourself after your first marriage?

I learned a lot of useful things. I will never take this step without getting to know the person well, without testing him with situations. What will i do? Open it completely.

How is your relationship with your ex-wife?

I have a wonderful relationship with her. Thank God everything is fine. There are no obstacles in communicating with your son, it is only welcome.

How much time do you spend with your son?

Unfortunately, very little - due to a busy work schedule. I hope that in the future this situation will change for the better.

Your son is very similar to you. The desire of many parent actors to protect their children from this profession is quite justified. If your son decides to become an actor in the future, will you support him in this?
