Serezha is a local singer. Seryozha is local. Let's get back to creativity. Clips and tracks

Songs performed in rap style evoke conflicting feelings among music lovers. This musical direction is more popular among today's youth, who grew up listening to Decl's texts. Rap appeared in the poor neighborhoods of America in the mid-70s and instantly captured the love of teenagers. There are not so many representatives who read real Russian rap. One of them is Seryozha Local. His surname is loud, but not popular among many. Let's tell you more about this guy.

Seryozha Local. Biography.Childhood

The rapper's real name is Fedorovich. He was born on June 19, 1989 in the town of Kirov. Sergei's childhood occurred during perestroika and shortages. The guy's ancestors are far from music and pop art, they always found the best better life. The boy was about eight years old when the family moved to Togliatti ( Samara region). There are friends left behind ordinary life and first childhood love. It was hard for the child to get used to the new town; he began to learn worse and was rude to his parents.

Seryozha Local’s biography as a musician began at the age of 14. The child encountered youth true love, and this resulted in the first lyrics. At first he simply wrote poetry, but at some point he decided to read them in rap style. Among his classmates and friends in the yard, he found those who shared his interests in music and were ready to move mountains together.

"Burning" service

In 2006, the young man graduated high school No. 14 in the town of Tolyatti, but was unable to fully decide on his choice of profession. Dreams of popularity bounced around in his head, and his mother tried to grow up and think about the future. Many of his fellow rap artists have long stepped into adulthood. While the young man was wondering what to do next, a summons to the army came. Sergei firmly decided to give back to his homeland and served 18 months in the internal troops. The North Caucasus Military District, where the guy had to serve, was then considered a “hot spot.” This did not bother Private Fedorovich at all, because he never found easy ways.

After returning from the army, the biography of Seryozha Local was replete with new events. Until 2008, virtually no one knew the guy. After serving and returning home, he nevertheless decided to connect himself with music. But everything turned out to be not so simple.

First steps in rap direction

It was quite easy to find like-minded people; young people were enraptured by the new musical direction. Rap was listened to by everyone who was close to music that reflected reality. It was the dream of public fame that united six ordinary men living in the same town.

After a little rehearsal together, the men decided to form a group, which they dubbed “Course”. Seryozha Local, Alex Manifesto, Pavlik Farmaceft, Atsel Rj, Seryozha Lin and DOODA are initial composition groups. The title was promising, and at first everything went in their favor. The young men began performing in courtyards and at friends’ parties, and later word of mouth played a role. The creativity of the young men was seen, and then people were found who were ready to help promote their songs.

Serge Local. “Gamora.” Biography

In 2011, the men decided to rename the group. A new loud title has appeared - “Gamora”. Young people tried hard to achieve fame, but the path to fame, as is clear, is thorny. Having given away all the accumulations, they begin recording their own first real disc. The album “Times” appeared in the same year. A year later, the presentation of “EP No. 2” took place, which made a splash in the career of “Gamora”.

But it turned out that the biography of Seryozha Local took a sharp turn in the direction. In the summer of 2012, the Gamora group ended its existence. The young people quarreled (according to rumors, over funds) and the team broke up.

Single career

After such events, Sergei did not fall into depression, but began to perform solo. At first it was not out of habit, but soon the young man realized that everything went even better. He recorded many tracks together with Pavlik Farmaceft, Dj Benny and Ksana. At the beginning of 2013, the biography of Seryozha Mestny changed again. The thing is that he moved to Moscow, where he began working with TsAO Records on the recording solo albums.

Some of his brightest songs include “Chalk of Fate”, “Musi-Pusi”, “Breath of the Streets”, “Poison”. They gained popularity thanks to clips close to reality that stir the soul. Young people accept Seryoga Local's tracks as autobiographical story, composed of rap lyrics.

Moments of truth

Songs on the topic of drug addiction in particular often appear in the guy’s albums. Some of them, for example, “Antokha” or “Paranoia,” are written as if the young man knows firsthand about the dilemmas of drug addicts.

It has long been clear that all the men performing in “Gamora” dabbled in marijuana. Young people, like many of their generation, believed that it helped to embody themselves and achieve relaxation after a grueling creative day. Some of them went further, while others had the strength to stop there. Fortunately, for Seryozha Local, this dangerous occupation did not interfere with self-realization and the fulfillment of his plans.

The Gamora group was created in Tolyatti in 2011. Initially, the rap group was called “Course”, but when the guys were noticed and accepted by the public, the guys decided to take a more sonorous and appropriate name – “Gamora”. We are talking here about Sodom and Gomorrah - the biblical cities. Gomorrah is a city of vice and sin that was destroyed for the sins of its inhabitants.

Compound

The original lineup included six guys - Seryozha Lin, Pavlik Farmaceft, Alex Manifesto, Atsel Rj and DOODA. The main ideological inspirers and frontmen of the group were Local and Lin.

The first composition of the group "Gamora"

Seryozha Local - Sergey Fedorovich. He began writing his first texts at the age of 13. Soon he managed to find like-minded people who shared his interests in rap.

Seryozha Lin – Sergei Makovsky. Even as a child, he became interested in music, at the age of 14 he began recording his first tracks, in 2008 he created the group “Kurs”, participated in the show “STS Lights a Star”, where he was singled out among the rest.

In July 2012, Gamora disbanded, and Local and Lin pursued solo projects. And although the guys at that moment did not comment on the reason for the dissolution of the team, they began to say on the Internet that it happened because of money. But, in principle, financial issue often becomes the root cause of misunderstandings.

New line-up group "Gamora"

But in June 2016, the guys announced their reunion. Now the group includes four people - Local and Lin, as well as Pavlik Farmaceft and Alex Manifesto. They said they plan to resume concert activities, start recording a new album and filming videos. This news was received with joy by the team's fans, but some did not believe in success. But, fortunately, they were mistaken: the guys, to confirm their serious intentions, released the song “Second Wind” and shot a video for it.

Music

The path to popularity was thorny. At first, the guys performed wherever they had to. Sometimes these were backyard venues, sometimes small regional rap festivals. In addition, parents did not particularly approve of this activity.

But the guys make high-quality music: sonorous beats, “boyish” lyrics and street philosophy. Therefore, the group soon gained a lot of fans who appreciated the deep meaning of their tracks.

To record their first album, “Times,” the guys had to gather all their finances and strength, but the result was decent. The album includes 9 tracks and 4 bonuses. Narkoz, Ksana, Baskil and Nikita Rusakov participated in the recording of the album.

In 2012, another Gamora album was released - EP No. 2. It contained 20 tracks, including collaboration With .

This album was truly successful and it was this album that brought fame to the guys. But he also brought discord into the group. Soon the team members decided to go their separate ways. The group broke up. Afterwards they said that everyone simply wanted to assert themselves and realize themselves, the time had come solo projects. Everyone at that moment was in search of themselves, but no one gave up music.

In 2013, Seryozha Local was noticed by a member of the popular rap group CENTR. He invites him to Moscow and offers cooperation. Since then, Local has been working with TsAO Records.

From 2013 to 2017, Seryozha Mestny released four solo albums. In 2013, two records were released - “Alternately” and “Krugozor”. In 2016, a mini-album entitled “Seryozha Local - album 2016 live” was released. In April 2017, the album “36.6” was released, the recording included Ves (group “”), Artem Tatishchevsky, Papa Paradox. The name itself spoke for itself: the guy was fine - his temperature was normal.

But Lin didn’t sit idle either. He also became one of the members of the TsAO Records label. Immediately after the collapse of Gamora, he recorded the album “Personal Knives”, most of the songs were recorded with the participation of rapper Malik. Music critics described this work as “a rap that will talk about the dark corners of life’s realities.”

In 2016, the guys decided to become a single team again. The group decided to keep their previous style, but in any case the tracks became more “adult”. In addition to music, the guys are interested in sports: The local loves football, Alex Manifesto is engaged in hand-to-hand combat, and in April 2016 he completed the candidate minimum.

Gamora now

In 2017, the group "Gamora" released new album called "Load-bearing walls". It included 12 tracks. Also in 2017, three videos were shot: “Edy Allen”, “Notre musique” and “Sport town” with the participation of DJ 11"th cut.

I am surprised to note that for many people, and even rap fans, the work of such a wonderful group as Gamora has completely passed by. People simply don’t know about them; there is a feeling that almost everyone missed them and didn’t catch them.

And by the way, according to many people, Gamora is the most underrated Russian rap, it is the purest underground and a very high level.

Real rap of Russian streets

Today on the Econ Dude blog we will talk about the work of these Volga rappers and think about why they didn’t shoot, where they disappeared and what is happening to them now.

When I say that they didn't fire, I mean this.

They took their place in culture and music, but they never reached a serious level and remained underground. The main reason, in my opinion, is this. At the time when they made videos and music, their tracks, this was around 2012, the Internet was not as developed as it is now. Since the group is regional, one might even say provincial, they simply did their own things, uploaded them to YouTube, and that’s it.

Moreover, when you look at Gamora, there are always misunderstandings in terms of where they have everything official?

Where is the Wiki article, where is the official YouTube channel and where is the VK public page? (Here In fact)? Why is everything uploaded to the channel? ELDAR MAHYANOV ?

Plus, YouTube is full of re-uploads, their videos are simply stolen, because they have not registered the rights and property as required.

Let's say for the request "RAP RUSO" (When Spanish speakers look for examples of Russian rap) displays the Gamora clip first:

This is a completely unofficial, leftist and gray channel. Russians may not know that someone uploads such videos optimized for Spanish, but this clip has received almost 20 million views! Not bad for yourself, huh?

"Unknown" Gamora, whom half of Spain listened to. One clip.

How did I find out about Gamora?

As befits a real underground, it first spreads by word of mouth, word of mouth. An old friend told me about Gamora.

We meet once a year, drink, that time we smoked hookah and listened to music on his phone before going to a big drinking party.

And then he tells me that there are Samara guys who wet.

Brother, who else is Gamora? Give it to me, no need.

No, no, listen, he answers. This is not supposed to be Misha Mavashi and not Tony Routh (although as it turned out later, these guys are the closest in spirit to them).

He played something like this, just music, without a video:

Back then, this style and flow were very new, it rocked a lot.

Now it is again on some incomprehensible channel...

Gamora's official YouTube channel, where is it?

Even when I am writing this article, I can tell you something.

I just have a personal author’s blog, not media, but I adhere to some basic rules Media and citations are just rules of decency. Let's say, with great probability, I will not provide a link to a video, article, website or channel if I do not have 100% confidence that it is an official and verified source.

Accordingly... You can already understand from this example the reasons for the disintegration and collapse of Gamora. The absence of one official channel and source, group website, etc., greatly reduces the likelihood of citations, fewer people learn about the phenomenon, and as a result, growth decreases and slows down. For example, just above I mentioned Tony Raut and Misha Mavashi. I made Tony a link to his YouTube channel, since it is obvious and clear there that this is an official channel. And I made a link to Misha, since the channel that exists has no description at all and no information, I cannot give a link to it.

This is all just an example of what can prevent a project from growing and what problems there are, a small personal example, but indicative. Not all artists and creative people they know about it, they don’t have to know about it. They are not specialists in SMM, websites, PR and other things. The artist's task is to create and create. Other people should help him sell and promote.

IN in this case- label.

By this logic, I cannot with 100% probability embed Gamora’s clips here and give links to them, since I don’t understand, I’m giving a link to the official source, it won’t be deleted later, or I’m giving a link to a left reupload.

UPD: As I understand, the guys corrected the situation, the left re-uploads were killed, and Gamora’s official channel is here: LEXS TV. I corrected the links to the left videos, but I’m too lazy to rewrite the entire article due to the change in the situation :(

Let's get back to creativity. Clips and tracks

So, this is the first track I listened to (knows), he made a strong impression in 2012. This is, for a moment, even when there were no there was no trace of it. The start of the version is 2013. Gamora at that moment set the absolutely highest bar in terms of reading, style and flow. But the most curious thing about them was something else.

Their style did not feel stolen from the West, it was perceived as something of their own. All the beats and minuses are written by them, the lyrics, everything is unique, original and with soul.

If it’s known that every second bit is stolen there, then it’s just like a tub cold water. I really heard something new.

Another of Gamora's greatest strengths was that more than one person was reading it. The guys worked as a team and did everything together.

Many of the top clips are a bunch of people, everyone reads in turn.

So you hear in one track different styles.

Then I came home and found their other clip - everyday life:

Now, in 2018, it all looks strange. These haircuts, these clothes... The topics that come up. Collective farm and provincialism.

No offense, everyone was like that then, including the author of this article.

But it was precisely this then, in those years, that was the voice of the streets and provinces.

She had one like this appearance, exactly like that.

But it’s amazing that even considering that the guys were from the underground, quite decent money was found for this video. There was a camera and there was editing, but they always worked with sound high level, even in bad clips.

Now, of course, it’s very strange to compare them with modern rap.

The music is different.

Gamora loses to almost any pop song. Eljay is pop music, right?

It is clear that there are different styles, but the quality is incomparable.

Gamora pales in comparison, unfortunately. But why does it fade? Who is this Eldzhey, Feduk, Face? Why did they shoot like that?

Of course there is talent (from Feduk and Eldzhey, not from Face), But main reason is that they are twisted very strongly and supported by large the right uncles. There is a completely different level of editing, girls, clothes, and the music processing is stronger.

Now the style of reading has changed, if we are talking about something closer:

The latest and greatest Russian rap, all together. 140 BPM

Everything has become faster and more technical. Listen with 1:08 , very much.

However... Talent is talent, Gamora had talent.

This is totally freestyle so and so.

And how beautifully this freestyle flows. Talent.

On 1:44 Pavlik shows power.

You just take these guys and throw them on Versus, they tear everyone up there.

Although Local later said in an interview that although he treats Versus normally, he is more about creativity, and not about sorting things out through rap. He said that he would not have been able to stand it there and would have punched his opponent in the face if he tried to insult him, so he did not go to battles and is not going to go.

Gamora isn't the same anymore.

The very peak of Gamora's creativity and their attempt to go into pop was here:

I believe this was their apogee highest point creativity. Everything here is polished, nothing superfluous, it rocks, everything is quick and short.

A reference to Pavlik the Addict from Samara, “caused panic” wow...

However, here they completely lost the old style, it turned out too pop. Good and high quality, but this is no longer Gamora, it was something else.

Gamora's style and schtick

What seriously struck many people about them was precisely their provincialism. The voice of the streets pure form, real gateways of vile, deserted and dangerous Tolyatti, filled with gopniks and bandits even after the 2000s.

Any kid from the provinces immediately rated them very highly, since they read about the life of such ordinary kids from the streets. At the same time, they never had any unfaithful or dangerous quirks. Well, yes, they said something about bad cops, something about , but this is normal in rap. They didn’t move any really dangerous people, they didn’t touch much on politics.

The paths of Gamora and the local Seryozha later diverged, but there was also an attempt to reunite (GAMORA - Second Wind (2016)).

History of Gamora

Seryozha Local - biography

Ok, what about the facts? What is the history of the Gamora groups? How was it formed and who is the creator? Who is Seryozha Local, what is his biography?

Seryozha Local (Sergey Fedorovich)- rapper from Togliatti, although he was born in Kirov on June 19, 1989. Graduated from a construction college with secondary technical education.

Where did the slogan “Local” come from?

Photo, Serezha Local

IN early age the family moved to Togliatti.

His family is working class and not involved in creativity. Relations with his parents deteriorated after the move, the guy rebelled and did bad things. I became interested in girls at the age of 14, and then I heard new music, rap, and away we go.

I read rap in the yard and became more and more interested in it. I finished school and entered construction, and then joined the army. Moreover, he was a soldier of the internal troops of the North Caucasus District, and this place, as you know, is not an easy one.

After the army, together with Sergei Lin from his yard, they began to make rap, six more people joined them and the group “Kurs” was formed. It was 2009.

The group “Gamora” appeared a couple of years later, then local kids already knew about them and they gained their first popularity in narrow circles, performing wherever they had to and wherever they called, including in the courtyards. In 2011, the Gamora group included: Seryozha Mestny and Seryozha Lin, Dooda, Alex Manifesto, Atsel Rj and Pavlik Farmaceft.

There are several interviews that you can watch for those who are interested:

"Gomorrah" means the city of sin and vice, from the biblical "Sodom and Gamorah." Life in the provinces in those days, in their opinion, reflected this name well.

Why did Gamora fall apart and fall apart?

According to indirect data, the collapse occurred due to disagreements in a large team. Probably, as always, these are personal ambitions, ego, and money that was not shared. Obviously, Seryozha Local had the leadership and he broke away from the group, but I’m not saying that he abandoned them and ruined everything, I don’t know. Probably conflicts grew, it became more difficult to gather everyone together, requests grew, division began, etc. Someone must have gotten arrogant.

This happens all the time in large groups that are rising.

For example, games, everything always fell apart, there are a million such examples. - similar.

Partners constantly quarrel and separate. It’s just that, as I later realized, you need to get together only after having already achieved personal success, and not vice versa.

First, become someone and always play for yourself first, and only then you can do some joint projects and collaborations.

The center fell apart for the same reasons as many other things. Another reason for the band's breakup, I think, is that they were sorely lacking in proper leadership, organization, and production. They had to be taken directly under the wing of a major label, at a very early stage. Like TsAO or Black Star. But the labels squandered them, only then were they able to catch them and send them to them in time good way Local.

By the way, the best label for them would be Casta.

UPD: Looks like the gang is back together and they're releasing new stuff!

Talents need to be helped, mediocrity will find its way on its own

Organization and production are the most important things, we see this in the example of Gamora. Just looking at similar cases you understand what a label can do for an artist. Look here. If at a very early stage, in the first videos of Gamora, the same Casta had taken them under the wing, then she would have given the guys a big kick in the ass.

This is not only technology, for example, access to a full-time company promotion specialist and a full-time installation specialist, but much more.

Even trivial things regarding basic monetization. You can sell merch, make donations, even make some individual vlogs and monetize it, get your first money even for initial stage, and money gives a very big incentive to continue. What can we say about further monetization, the label will do everything correctly and although it will take part of the income, with it the total income will be many times higher.

Black Star, although many people don’t like them, helped a lot of budding artists and promoted them a lot, they essentially made them.

The same is true for CAO RECORDS.

Gamora was unlucky; in 2012, labels were weaker than they are now and were less active in finding new talent. They did not see them, and even if they saw them, they could not agree with them on normal cooperation.

In many ways, the reason for the breakup of Gamora is not her, but the labels that did not support them. Gamora are artists, they are creators. They don’t have to know how to promote everything, PR, what to say in an interview and how to grow quickly.

This is what the label should do.

An interesting example - Big Russian Boss (he is from neighboring Samara), he also wrote music, but in a mocking and cheerful style, however, he climbed very high. At some stage the right people found him, or he found these people, moved to big city and launched the show, then everyone forgot about the music, but he stepped extremely far.

Now, for example, Fresh Blood is on, the 4th season of the version. There is a platform and there are mechanisms for selecting young talents. Here's how it happens:

Just imagine that Gamora sends an application there. Although you know, maybe they wouldn’t have gotten there based on their criteria. The time is different.

As a result, Seryozha, a local, went to the Central Administrative District and worked on his own projects there, and now, apparently, the team is back together, but already four people.

They are working on a new album, but that's another story.

It’s likely that Gamora, even in the previous lineup, will not be able to somehow integrate into the new one. strange world (although I wish them luck anyway!), but 2012 was behind them, and many missed it. At one time, the guys did a lot of explosions.
