Library information on the theater book exhibition. Art exhibition “The Great Wizard – Theater. "Teaching Stories"

Today, libraries are faced with a shrinking readership and are forced to look for new forms of attracting users and expand cooperation with institutions in the socio-cultural sphere. The reader-viewer is offered a new format for meeting with a book, a contact between two inseparable worlds - literature and theater.

Librarians from schools in the Kurchatovsky district of Chelyabinsk presented their experience of interaction between the library and the theater at a city seminar, which took place on March 1, 2018.

Taking into account the interests and needs of our readers, school libraries continue to search for new, non-traditional and effective forms of work that not only educational information, but spectacular, bright, emotional.

Already at the entrance you could feel the theatrical atmosphere. The participants of the city seminar were greeted by cheerful buffoons (students of school No. 12 in Chelyabinsk), inviting them to get acquainted with quotes from famous successful people.

A library plus a theater is a wonderful collaboration that can bear fruit in the field of developing reading for children, adolescents, and even adult readers. According to library tradition, the occasion for the production is the anniversary of a favorite children's writer.

Undoubtedly “book theater is a creative reading of a work, lived through acting skills reader... Translation of a literary text into a special stage language is done in order to auditorium a man came to the reading room. For a performance, it’s enough to reach out to the shelf, take a book and make a performance out of it: revive the text through play, movement, music...”(Russian teacher O. Galakhova)

Theatrical events help solve many pressing problems:

Promote the work of a particular writer;

To educate a literate reader with a high culture of choosing and evaluating what they read;

Introduce children to artistic and literary creativity.

Organizing thematic exhibitions of book publications on theatrical art, introducing the reader to the works based on theatrical productions. Thematic book exhibitions about actors, theater and theatrical art are aimed at expanding the readership and viewing audience.

Forms of activity can include elements of theatrical play and are an effective form of attracting the younger generation to reading. An element of a library performance can be a quiz that activates the thinking of young spectators, so you can use “hint” books containing answers to questions.

One of the creative forms of modern library work with children and adolescents are library theatrical performances, excerpts from the works of classics and contemporaries, staged fairy tales, theatrical games, colorful processions of literary heroes.

Showing small-format performances in the library is a great opportunity to introduce readers to the activities of the theater and theatrical art in general, and thus in game form, which is closest to the child’s perception, will become familiar with the library’s collections.

In schools, librarians often work collaboratively with administrators theater studios: this includes choosing a book for the production, conversations about the main characters, a story about the author of the work, and joint rehearsals. We are sure that similar interaction between the theater and the library is carried out in many schools in our city. It's interesting!

For the seminar, a mini-play “Nedorosl” was prepared by students of the branch of “Lyceum No. 35 of Chelyabinsk”. Bright and talented stars theater club no one was left indifferent.

It was also possible to maintain the theatrical atmosphere of the seminar due to the interior of the theater buffet - a tablecloth with heavy fringe, a samovar, wicker vases with treats.
