How did it all start?

Pioneers

Timofey Pronkin is an extraordinary person. A native Muscovite who worked in a gay strip club. Where I met my wife. Just don't think that his wife is a man. No, this is an ordinary woman. The couple has two children. And Tim is the only member of the Hi-Fi group who still works in it to this day.
Decay
Five years have passed. The group was at the peak of its popularity when Oleshko announced that she was leaving it. The girl was leaving the world of show business. Her priorities changed: now family came first.
Oksana got married and devoted herself entirely to family life. And the producer had to think about who to replace her with.
Take two
The second soloist of the Hi-Fi group was a professional model. After the appearance of Tatyana Tereshina, the video “The Seventh Petal” was shot. Neither the song nor the colorful production, which starred more than 20 people, gained much popularity.
In 2004, under Tatiana, the group became one of the most popular and in demand in Russia. And a year later Tereshina left the project.
Third chance
It was not immediately possible to find a replacement for Tatyana. This time Ekaterina Lee joined the Hi-Fi group. We know her as Katya Li from the Factory group.
The girl did not stay long in the project. Only three videos were released under her. In 2010, Ekaterina left the group. But Mitya Fomin left even earlier. This was a blow for all participants; they didn’t want to let the guy go. Nevertheless, Mitya managed to make a brilliant solo career.
Another shift

The video design of the composition was quite original: the film crew, led by Arthur Gimpel, settled in one of the Moscow courtyards, where the Hi-Fi participants had to reincarnate as angels observing the bustle of earthly life. These shootings became one of the most interesting in the history of the team - they involved special machines, with the help of which Mitya, Ksyusha and Timofey were raised to a height of 5-6 floors to create the effect of flight. The song “Stupid People” was the first sign from the upcoming new album Hi-Fi. At the end of 2001, the Hi-Fi group released an album again, this time an album of remixes. It was then that the long-standing Hi-Fi tradition was broken for the first time - the creation of melodies for the project was not entrusted to Pavel Yesenin. The experiment in the form of creating remixes of the best songs of the group was supported by such musicians as Maxim Fadeev, Yuri Usachev, Evgeny Kuritsyn and others - their original versions of proven Hi-Fi hits made up the group’s new record called “New Collection-2002”, or “ D&J remixes". In April 2002, the fifth Hi-Fi video clip was filmed. The script was chosen in accordance with the theme of the song: the band members get together and remember the bright moments of their almost four years of collaboration. The song “Secondary School” entered the golden circle of Hi-Fi hits and every summer becomes the anthem of all school graduations. Following “High School,” Hi-Fi is filming another video; this time the composition with the eloquent title “I Love” has a video version. The plot of this video differs from the group’s previous filming due to its bold futuristic treatment and tells the story of the love story of a girl from the future. The “I Love” video was the last collaboration between the original members of the project. At the end of the same 2002, the Hi-Fi group sums up the four years of its existence by releasing an album with a set of the most famous songs, supplementing it with three previously unreleased tracks: “I Love”, “Secondary School No. 7” and “Ole-Ole” (song-hymn in support of the Russian football team at the World Cup). In parallel with the record, a video cassette “Uninvented Stories” was released, which contained the complete set of the group’s clips at that time: “Not Given”, “Street Child”, “About Summer”, “Black Raven” and “High School”; revelations from the participants about five years of work in Hi-Fi and a bonus in the form of recordings of performances on “Song of the Year”. In 2003, serious changes took place in the team: the group's lead singer Oksana Oleshko decided to leave the team and devote herself to her family and husband, Hi-Fi was forced to start searching for a new member. As a result, professional model Tatyana Tereshina was selected to replace Ksyusha in the group. The first work of the updated Hi-Fi line-up was the song “The Seventh Petal”. At the request of the group, St. Petersburg animators drew a fabulous clip, taking into account the theme of the song, but the Hi-Fi group did not distribute it further than the official website. In 2004, the team filmed another, seventh, video clip. The shooting of the video for the song “Trouble” (a cover version of the hit song of the group “Forum”) took place in a nightclub. The director and scriptwriter was Pavel Yesenin, the band's permanent composer. About 20 actors were involved in the filming of the video, including the travesty show “Birds of Paradise” and the ballet group Hi-Fi. The plot is based on a complicated love story; The video was decorated with specially choreographed dance numbers. At exactly the same time, Hi-Fi received an important award: the band’s songs were recognized as the most rotated. According to statistics from the portal tophit.ru, the works of the Hi-Fi group are among the most in demand from radio stations. The song “Trouble,” for example, broke all records for the number of hits: in the first day the composition was online, more than 200 radio stations downloaded it. In 2005, personnel changes occurred again in Hi-Fi: in May, the team with the intention of starting solo career Tatyana Tereshina left. The group's producers began searching for a lead singer. The pop group Hi-Fi was one of the most popular musical groups in Russia in the early 2000s. Hi-Fi is melodic pop music, experiments with Eurodance and vocal parts that salute the New Age style. This complication of sound, together with lyrics devoid of primitive phrases, allowed the group to create their own brand, which has existed for almost 20 years.
The Hi-Fi group was created in 1998 by Pavel Yesenin (composer and arranger) and Eric Chanturia (producer and lyricist). Pavel Yesenin initially wanted to become a soloist himself, but soon realized that constant touring did not leave time for composing music, so Mitya Fomin was chosen as the frontman. At the same time, Yesenin did not like Fomin’s vocals: Pavel recorded in the studio himself, and a soundtrack was played at concerts. That is why Afisha wrote about the uniqueness of the Hi-Fi pop group, in which none of the participants has anything to do with writing or performing songs.
Together with Mitya Fomin, the original composition of the group included Timofey Pronkin and Oksana Oleshko - collaboration The trio began with the filming of the video “Not given”; before that, the group members did not know each other. In 1999, the video “The Homeless Child” was released, which was at the top of the charts throughout the year. At the same time, the first Hi-Fi album called “First Contact” was released, and a few months later the second record “ReProduction” was released, which included another super hit of the group - “Black Raven”.

In 2003, Oksana Oleshko left the group and show business - she decided to devote her life to her family. Two weeks later, professional model Tatyana Tereshina took her place, but in 2005 she also decided to pursue a solo career. In 2006, Katya Li, a student in the jazz department of the St. Petersburg University of Culture and Arts, became the soloist of Hi-Fi.
By 2009, the group's popularity was noticeably declining; Mitya Fomin, tired of his role as an animator for Pavel Yesenin's vocals, left the team. Mitya is replaced by Kirill Kolgushkin, but Timofey Pronkin becomes the de facto leader of the team. In 2010, Katya Li left the project, a month later she was replaced by Olesya Lipchanskaya, chosen during the casting, and in 2011, Kirill Kolgushkin left, replaced by Vyacheslav Samarin. The latter lasted only a few months in Hi-Fi, so until December 2016 the group performs as a duet of Timofey Pronkin and Olesya Lipchanskaya. The latter, before the onset of 2017, was replaced by Marina Drozhdina, so today Hi-Fi is a duet between Pronkin and Drozhdina.
Since 2002, Hi-Fi has not released a single full-length record, only compilations, the latest of which are 24 tracks released on four vinyl discs under common name"The best".
