Alizee Jacotey born August 21, 1984 in Ajaccio, coast of Corsica, southern France. Aliza is the second child in the family. The girl’s parents are big fans of windsurfing, and Aliza received the name in honor of one of the winds.

On November 17, 2000, Alize received her first professional music award - an award in the Discovery of the Year category for prizes French TV channel M6.
