Oriental belly dancing (Belly Dance). East Dance

The Victoria Kharitonova Dance School (Moscow) invites you to oriental dance lessons for adults. During the course you will receive a lot of positive emotions. In our studio you will experience your first successes in learning belly dance, new acquaintances, and a friendly, cozy atmosphere.

Our team is called the Tale of the East.

Oriental dances are adapted folk art. The main movements radiate natural sexuality, as they were invented by simple women - desired brides and beloved wives, guardians of the hearth. Such activities for adults are beneficial at any age. At the same time, health restrictions are minimal and concern serious problems with the spine (the presence of intervertebral hernias or displacement of the vertebrae).

Oriental dances turn certain features of the figure into real highlights. The variety of movements and performance techniques allows each dancer to find her own style that will highlight the beauty of her body. For example, women with curvy figures look great with smooth but dynamic movements that allow them to demonstrate grace. Thin belly dancers can emphasize striking combinations of kicks. You will receive more detailed recommendations regarding the choice of style during the training process.

Main directions of Belly Dance

  • "Baladi"/"Beledi". Cheerful and dynamic oriental dance. It has a fairly simple choreography, where the emphasis is on hip movements. At the same time, the performer receives ample opportunities for improvisation.
  • "Khalidzhi". This style of Belly Dance is characterized by smooth, slow movements, which are diluted with spectacular blows and shakes. A significant role is given to the dancer’s hair: it flows beautifully from one shoulder to the other and falls like a waterfall when bending over.
  • "Saidi". The authors of this oriental dance were shepherdesses. That is why an integral attribute of “Saidi” is the asaya - a stylized analogue of the cane with which women urged their sheep. This style is very cute and playful.
  • "Shamadan". Ritual belly dance with a special candelabra on the head. It requires the performer to have an excellent sense of balance and trained spinal muscles. Typically, spectacular performances are performed at weddings as wishes for the newlyweds to have a happy, vibrant and joyful life.
  • "Andalusia". The original direction of Belly Dance, which arose under the influence of Spanish flamenco.

Basic training is available at our dance school popular destinations. In addition, the lessons teach the correct use of various props: candles, scarves, shawls. All these items will help make the production even more vivid and memorable.

Our studio offers individual training in working with “wings”, sabers, daggers and other professional paraphernalia.

Eastern dances have a striking appeal not only due to their smooth and sexy movements - the costumes of the dancers play a huge role. At first glance, they set the viewer up for some kind of magic. TRIAL CLASS

The legend telling about the emergence of the progenitor of oriental dances is quite interesting. Once upon a time, a seductive oriental beauty performed in front of strongmen of the world this dance. Suddenly a bee flew under her skirt and, getting entangled in the folds of the performer’s robe, began to fly there. The girl did not dare to stop the performance, and tried to chase the insect by actively rotating her stomach and shoulders. The audience, delighted with the unusual body movements, called the artist for an encore more than once.

The legend, of course, is funny, however, most likely, such dances were invented by cunning oriental women for certain purposes. The laws of the East have always clearly regulated the relationship between spouses, infidelity was punishable by law, so a woman, in order to keep her husband close, had to come up with original ways to be desired every day. Every woman strives to ensure that her beauty, flexibility of the body, charm of the skin and grace of movements are preserved for as long as possible. And many hundreds of years ago in the East they came up with the right way for a woman to preserve her youth and beauty, not only without exhausting her body, but by giving herself and others pleasure. Arabic dance (belly dance or oriental dance) - ancient tradition working with the body.

Classes Belly dancing(belly dancing) prove that a woman, regardless of age, can be beautiful in her body, provided that she skillfully uses the natural grace and eroticism that she possesses from birth. The peculiarity of this dance direction is that it is theatrical, individual dance. Depending on the moment, belly dancing can be playful, energetic, sexy, wise, gentle, spiritual. One thing remains the same - belly dancing is always erotic and attractive!

Clothes for belly dance lessons

Our teachers recommend for classes belly dancing for beginners, that is, in a basic or advanced course, choose clothes with a tight or semi-tight silhouette. If desired, you can emphasize the line of the chest (diaphragm) and the line of the hips: wear a short top (or a T-shirt that you can tie, revealing the middle of the abdomen) and light trousers on the hips. A belt clinking with coins and beads, if you want, can be tied on your hips. For oriental dance lessons, it is better to wear thick cotton socks, jazz shoes, Czech shoes, or special dance ballet shoes on your feet.

You can save a light gauze or chiffon scarf for personalizing dance number, if you want (this is possible in individual lessons with a teacher). The size of the scarf for women of medium and tall height is 1.25 by 3 meters, for short women - 1 by 2.5 meters.
